* Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable batteries (Nickel Metal Hydride).
+ Do not mix old and new batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the item before being charged (if removable).
+ Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). Exhausted batteries should be removed immediately and must be recycled or disposed of properly according to state or local government ordinances and regulations. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
* Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.

-Carefully remove items from package.
-Locate the battery compartment on the back of each item. (see diagram on right)
-unscrew latch on bottom of car to release battery pack and replace batteries following the correct polarities
-replace the battery compartment door
-Slide open the battery compartment door of the controller.
-Insert the 9V battery following the correct polarities
-Replace the battery compartment door.
-Switch both car and radio control buttons to ON position
