at Microphone Charging the headset Before you can start using the headset, you must charge the battery and pair the headset with a compatible phone. Note: Parts of the headset are magnetic. Metalic materials may be atrated othe headset. Do nt place credt's or other magnetic storage media near the headset, because information stored on them may be erased Chargers and batteries Check the model number of any charger before using it with this device. The Bluetooth Headset BTH820 is intended for use with the standard charger with 8 pin connectors. For availability of approved enhancements, please check with your dealer. When you disconnect the power cord of any enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord. Charge the battery This device has an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device as you may damage the device 1, Connect the charger cable to the headset 2. Connect the charger to a wall outlet. The red indicator light is turn on during charging. If charging does not start, disconnect the charger, plug itin again, and retry. Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hours. 3. When the battery is fully charged, the red indicator light turns off. Disconnect the charger from the wall outlet and the headset. The fully charged battery has power for up to 4 hours ~ 5 hours of talk-time or up to 100 hours of standby time. However, the talk and standby times may vary with different mobile phones, products that use a Bluetooth connection, usage settings, usage styles, and environments. @ Pairing the headset with a compatible phone 1, Ensure your headset is in power off status. 2. Press and hold the Multi-Function button until the indicator light tums on in red
(approximately 8 seconds), 3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions. 4. Select the headset BTH820 from the list of found devices. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. See the user guide of your phone for details. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once. 6. If the pairing is successful, the headset beeps and appears in the phone menu where you can view the currently paired Bluetooth devices. Disconnect the headset from the phone To disconnect the headset from your phone (for example, to connect the phone to another Bluetooth device), do one of the following
+ Switch off the headset
+ Disconnect the headset in the Bluetooth menu of your phone.
+ Move the headset more than 10 meters (30 feet) away from the phone. You do not need to delete the pairing with the headset to disconnect it. 8
@ Reconnect the paired headset to your phone To connect the headset to your phone, press and hold the Multi-Function button to switch on the headset, or make the connection in the Bluetooth menu of your phone. Troubleshooting Ifyou cannot connect the headset to your phone, do as follows
+ Ensure that the headset is charged, switched on, and paired with and connected to your phone.
+ Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on your phone
+ Check that the headset is within 10 meters (30 feet) of your phone and that there are no obstructions between the headset and the phone, such as walls or other electronic devices. Wearing the headset Wear the headset on your ear. In general, you will get better performance when there are no obstructions (including parts of your body) between the headset and the phone. Depending on what ear you are going to wear the headset, simple adjust the hook accordingly. The headset is provided with an earhook that you can use for a better fit on your ear. To use the headset without the earhook, plug the headset into your ear, and point the headset toward your mouth To use the headset with the earhook, insert the catch of the earhook into the bottom of the earplug. You can rotate the earhook to both directions in order to fit the headset on your left / right ear. Set the headset so that it points toward your mouth. To detach the earhook (for example, to clean it), gently pull it from the headset. Carry the headset in the strap (Optional) The headset is supplied with a strap. When you do not keep the headset on your ear, you can wear it on your neck using the strap. To fix the headset to the strap, simply insert the headset into the catch, and gently push it until it locks into place. To detach the headset, slide it out through the catch. 10 Making a call To make a call, use your phone in the normal way when the headset is connected to your phone. The red indicator light flashes slowly during the call. If your phone supports redialing with this device, when no call is in progress, press the Multi-Function button once, the phone will redial the last number. Answering a call To answer the call, press the Multi-Function button, or use the phone keys. If the automatic answer function is on, the phone automatically answers the incoming call after one ring, If you answer the call with your phone, you can transfer the call to the headset by pressing the Multi-Function button. Ending a call To end a call, press the Multi-Function button once. Adjusting the volume Press the volume key up to increase or down to decrease the volume during a call, To adjust the volume quickly, press and hold the key in the desired direction. 11 Battery information Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out Unplug the charger from the electrical plug and the device when not in use. Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger, since overcharging may shorten its lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time. The headset produces significantly less power than a typical mobile phone. It also only emits signals that are in compliance with the international Bluetooth standard. Therefore, you should not expect any interference with standard consumer-grade electronics equipment. When you pair the headset to your Bluetooth phone, you are creating a private link between only these two Bluetooth devices. The wireless Bluetooth technology used in the headset is not easily monitored by third parties, because Bluetooth wireless signals are significantly lower in radio frequency power than those produced by a typical mobile phone. To clean the headset, use a clean, soft cloth that is slightly damp. 14
