1STEP Look in the box and make sure you have the following:
Connect to the network Connect your devices Access the Internet HITRON HT-EMN2 POWER ADAPTOR ETHERNET CABLE QUICK START GUIDE Note: Connected to an existing MoCA network. The Hitron HT-EMN2 allows you to connect Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) devices on your buildings coaxial cable network. This guide assumes that you also have a MoCA-equipped router or network adapter that provides Internet access to your coaxial cable network. For more information, see www.mocalliance.org Connect to the power outlet Connect to the cable port 2STEP Connect the supplied 12V/1A power adapter to your HT-EMN2s POWER port, and plug it in to a power socket. 3STEP Connect your buildings coaxial cable to the HT-EMN2s Coax I/O port. MoCA LED behavior will change from slow blinking to steady if HT-EMN2 connects to MoCA-enabled router over MoCA. Note: Please make sure MoCA-enabled router works fine in coaxial network. Connect to the TV (optional) Connect a computer to a LAN port (if any) Using coaxial cable, connect your TV to the HT-EMN2s TV port. 4STEP 5STEP Using the supplied Ethernet cable, connect your computers network port to the HT-EMN2s LAN port. Connect with wireless devices (if any) Access the Internet 7STEP On your connected computer or device, open a browser and access a website, such as www.hitron-americas.com. If you can see the website, your HT-EMN2 is correctly set up!
6STEP Your HT-EMN2s SSID (WiFi network name) and security password are provided on a label located on the bottom of the device. On your computer or other wireless device, locate and connect to the network. In Windows 7, click the Network icon, click the network name, then click Connect. When prompted, enter the PassPhrase. 2.4G wireless network name 5G wireless network name ABCDEFGH P/N:0123456789AB MAC:AB9876543210 S/N:AB1234567890 SSID-2.4G:YZ1234567890 SSID-5G:YZ1234567890XXX PassPhrase: 9876543210YZ IC: 10778A-HTEMN2 FCC ID: U4P-HTEMN2 PassPhrase Setup Complete Troubleshooting 7STEP Use the configuration interface to complete control over the devices behavior. In Web browser, enter 192.168.0.254 in the address bar. Enter cusadmin as the username and password as the password in the screen displays. Use this section only if you were unable to connect to the Internet in step 7. Problem: The LEDs do not turn on If no LEDs turn on, check the HT-EMN2 is plugged in to the power source correctly. If the POWER LED turns on, but the MoCA LED does not, wait up to 90 seconds. If the MoCA LED remains off, contact your vendor. If the POWER and MoCA LEDs turn on, but the MoCA LED always blinks slowly, ensure that the HT-EMN2 is correctly connected to the buildings coax cable network, that the MoCA-enabled router or network adapter is likewise correctly connected, and that it is switched on. Problem: I cannot connect via WiFi If your WiFi device cannot find the network, move closer to the HT-EMN2 and away from obstructions. If your WiFi device can find the network name but cannot connect, make sure you are using the correct default password, and that your device supports the IEEE 802.11 b, g, n or ac standard. Problem: I cannot access the Internet Ensure that you can connect to the Internet from a computer connected directly to your networks MoCA-enabled router or network adapter. Check the cabling connections between the router and your HT-EMN2, and between the HT-EMN2 and your computer (or, for WiFi, ensure it is correctly connected to the network). If problems persist, the HT-EMN2 may have had its WiFi or network settings altered. For information on returning the HT-EMN2 to its default settings, consult your vendor.
