2.4GHz General Binding Procedure CAUTION: When using a Futaba transmitter with a Spektrum DSM module, you must reverse the throttle channel and rebind. Refer to your Spektrum module manual for binding and failsafe instructions. Refer to your Futaba transmitter manual for instructions on reversing the throttle channel. 1. Refer to your transmitters unique instructions for binding to a receiver (location of transmitters Bind control). 2. Make sure the flight battery is disconnected from the aircraft. 3. Ensure the transmitter is powered OFF. 4. Connect the flight battery to the aircraft. The receiver LED will begin to flash (typically after 5 seconds). 5. Ensure that control surface trims are centered and the throttle and throttle trims are in the low position to correctly set the failsafe. 6. Put your transmitter into bind mode. Refer to your transmitters manual for binding button or switch instructions. 7. After 5 to 10 seconds, the receiver status LED will turn solid, indicating that the receiver is bound to the transmitter. If the LED does not turn solid, refer to the Troubleshooting Guide at the back of the manual. For subsequent flights, power ON the transmitter for 5 seconds before connecting the flight battery. If you encounter problems, obey binding instructions and refer to the troubleshooting guide for other instructions. If needed, contact the appropriate Horizon Product Support office. ESC/Receiver Arming Arming the ESC/receiver also occurs after binding as previously described, but subsequent connection of a flight battery requires the following steps. 1. Lower the throttle and throttle trim to the lowest settings on your transmitter. 2. Remove the battery/canopy hatch from the fuselage and install a flight battery all the way to the back of the battery comportment. 3. Power on your transmitter, then wait 5 seconds. 4. Connect the battery to the ESC, noting proper polarity. Keep the plane immobile and away from wind for 5 seconds to allow the AS3X system to initialize. A successful connection is indicated by:

A series of tones A continuous LED CAUTION: Always disconnect the Li-Po battery from the ESC when not flying to eliminate power supplied to the motor. The ESC does not have an arming switch and will respond to any transmitter input when a signal is present. CAUTION: Always disconnect the Li-Po battery from the ESC when not flying to avoid over-discharging the battery. Batteries discharged to a voltage lower than the lowest approved voltage may become damaged, resulting in loss of performance and potential fire when batteries are charged. Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC) When a Li-Po battery is discharged below 3V per cell, it will not hold a charge. The aircrafts ESC protects the flight battery from over-discharge using Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC). Once the battery discharges to 3V per cell, the LVC will reduce the power to the motor in order to leave adequate power to the receiver and servos to land the aircraft. When the motor power decreases, land the aircraft immediately and replace or recharge the flight battery. Always disconnect and remove the Li-Po battery from the aircraft after each flight. Charge your Li-Po battery to about half capacity before storage. Make sure the battery charge does not fall below 3V per cell. Failure to unplug a connected battery will result in trickle discharge. For your first flights, set your transmitter timer or a stopwatch to 5 minutes. Adjust your timer for longer or shorter flights once you have flown the model. 2.4Ghz ACHTUNG: Wenn Sie einen Futaba-Sender mit einem Spektrum DSM-Modul verwenden, mssen Sie den Gaskanal reversieren (umkehren) und danach das System neu binden. Lesen Sie bitte fr den Bindevorgang und programmieren der Failsafeeinstellungen die Bedienungsanleitung des Spektrum Modules. Zum reversieren des Gaskanals lesen Sie bitte in der Anleitung des Futaba Senders nach. 1. Bitte lesen Sie die fr ihren Sender entsprechenden Anweisungen zu Binden. (Position des Bindeknopfes) 2. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass der Akku vom Flugzeug getrennt ist. 3. Schalten Sie den Sender ein. 4. Schlieen Sie den Flugakku an das Flugzeug an. Die Empfnger LED beginnt schnell zu blinken (normalerweise nach 5 Sekunden). 5. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass die Senderkontrollen auf Neutral stehen und die Gastrimmung in unterster Position ist. 6. Aktivieren Sie den Bindemode ihres Senders. Bitte lesen zu der Position des Bindebutton oder Schalter in der Bedienungsanleitung ihres Senders. 7. Nach 5 bis 10 Sekunden leuchtet die Empfnger-LED und zeigt damit an, dass der Empfnger an den Sender gebunden ist. Sollte die LED nicht leuchten, lesen Sie bitte in der Hilfestellung zur Problemlsung auf der Rckseite der Anleitung nach. Fr nachfolgende Flge schalten Sie den Sender 5 Sekunden vor dem Anschlieen des Senderakkus ein. Eine Liste der kompatiblen DSM Sender sehen Sie unter www.bindnfly.com. Armieren des Reglers / Empfnger Das Armieren des Spannungsreglers erfolgt wie bereits beschrieben nach dem Binden. Jedes weitere Anschlieen des Akkus erfordert die unten stehenden Schritte. 1. Bringen Sie den Gashebel und die Gastrim-mung auf niedrigste Einstellung. 2. Nehmen Sie die Kabinenhaube vom Rumpf ab und setzen den Flugakku (A) ganz nach hinten in das Akkufach ein. 3. Schalten Sie den Sender ein und warten 5 Sekunden. 4. Schlieen Sie den Akku an den Regler an und beachten dabei die korrekte Polaritt. Das Flugzeug sollte aufrecht und ausserhalb des Windes fr 5 Sekunden vollkommen still stehen, damit sich das AS3X System initialisieren kann. Eine erfolgreiche Verbindung wird angezeigt durch:

- Leuchtende LED ACHTUNG: Trennen Sie immer den LiPo Akku vom Regler wenn Sie nicht fliegen um die Strom-zufuhr zum Motor zu unterbrechen. Der Regler besitzt keinen Armierschalter und reagiert auf jeden Senderbefehl wenn ein Signal vorhanden ist. ACHTUNG: Trennen Sie immer den LiPo Akku vom Flugzeug wenn Sie nicht fliegen um ein tiefentladen des Akkus vom Regler zu vermeiden. Akkus die unter die zulssige Spannungsgrenze entladen werden, knnen dabei beschdigt werden was zu Leistungsverlust und potentieller Brandgefahr beim Laden der Akkus fhren kann. Niederspannungsabschaltung (LVC) Wird ein LiPo Akku unter 3 Volt pro Zelle entladen kann er keine Spannung mehr halten. Der Regler schtzt den Akku vor einer Unterspannung mit der Niederspannungsabschaltung (LVC). Unabhngig von der Gasknppelstellung wird dann die Leistung reduziert, um einen Absinken der Zellenspannung unter 3 Volt zu verhindern. Der Motor fngt dann an zu pulsieren und zeigt damit an, dass noch Energie fr eine sichere Landung bleibt. Bitte landen Sie sofort wenn der Motor zu pulsieren anfngt und laden den Akku wieder auf. Trennen Sie nach dem Fliegen immer den Akku vom Empfnger und entfernen ihn aus dem Flugzeug.Laden Sie den Akku auf die halbe Kapazitt bevor Sie ihn einlagern. Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass die Akkuspannung nicht unter 3 Volt pro Zelle fllt. Trennen Sie den Akku nicht wird er tiefentladen. Stellen Sie fr die ersten Flge die Stopuhr oder den Timer auf ihrer Fernsteuerung auf 5 Minuten ein. Stellen Sie den Timer nach dem ersten Flug lnger oder krzer ein. Vrifiez que lmetteur est hors tension. 4. Connectez la batterie lavion et posez-le sur son train datterrissage. La DEL du rcepteur va se mettre clignoter (gnrale-

ment aprs 5 secondes). 5. Vrifiez que les trims des gouvernes sont au neutre et que les gaz et leurs trims sont en position basse pour bien pouvoir rgler le failsafe. 6. Mettez votre metteur en mode bind (affectation). Rfrez-vous au manuel de votre metteur pour effectuer ce processus. 7. Au bout de 5 10 secondes, lla DEL de statut du rcepteur restera fixe, indiquant que le rcepteur est affect lmetteur. Si la DEL ne sallume pas, reportez-vous au Guide de dpannage figurant la fin du manuel. Pour les vols suivants, allumez lmetteur pendant 5secondes avant de connecter la batterie de vol. Si vous rencontrez des difficults, rfrez-vous au guide de dpannage. Si ncessaire, contactez votre revendeur ou le service technique Horizon Hobby. Placez le manche des gaz et son trim la position la plus basse. 2. Retirez la verrire/trappe du fuselage et insrez la batterie (A) totalement larrire de son compartiment. 3. Mettez lmetteur sous tension et attendez 5 secondes. 4. Connectez la batterie au contrleur en respectant les polarits. Posez lavion sur son train datterrissage et gardez-le immobile labri du vent durant 5 secondes pour linitialisation du systme AS3X. Les indicateurs dune connexion russie sont :

Une srie de tonalits Lallumage fixe de la DEL ATTENTION: Dbranchez toujours la batterie Li-Po du contrleur lorsque que vous ne faites pas voler lappareil afin de couper lalimentation du moteur. Le contrleur ne possde pas dinterrupteur et rpondra tous les ordres venant de lmetteur quand le signal est prsent. ATTENTION: Dbranchez toujours la batterie Li-Po quand vous nutilisez pas le modle afin dviter un dcharge trop importante de la batterie. Les batteries dcharges une tension infrieure au minimum approuv seront endommages, entranant une baisse des performances et un risque dincendie lors des prochaines recharges. Coupure par tension faible (LVC) Une batterie Li-Po dcharge en-de de 3V ne supportera aucune charge par la suite. Le CEV (ESC) de laronef protge la batterie de vol contre une dcharge trop profonde grce au systme de coupure par tension faible (LVC). Lorsque la batterie est dcharge jusque 3V par cellule, la coupure par tension faible (LVC) rduit la puissance du moteur au profit du rcepteur et des servos pour quils puissent supporter un atterrissage. Quand la puissance du moteur dcrot, faites atterrir laronef immdiatement et remplacez ou rechargez la batterie de vol. Dbranchez et retirez toujours la batterie Li-Po de lavion aprs chaque vol. Chargez la batterie environ la moiti de sa capacit avant de la stocker. Contrlez que la tension de chaque lment de la batterie ne descend pas en dessous de 3V. Si vous ne dbranchez pas la batterie, elle se dchargera de faon trop importante. Pour les premiers vols, rglez la minuterie de votre montre ou metteur sur 5 minutes. Ajustez la dure des vols une fois que vous aurez fait voler le modle. REMARQUE : Une activation rptitive de la coupure par tension faible (LVC) endommage la batterie. Specifiche Tensione dingresso:

2 celle LiPo da 7,4 V Connessione (binding) fra trasmettitore e ricevitore Per connettere (bind) il velivolo al trasmettitore scelto, si prega di seguire le indicazioni riportate qui di seguito. Procedura di binding Frequenza operativa 2,4 GHz ATTENZIONE: Quando si utilizza un trasmettitore Futaba con un modulo Spektrum DSM bisogna invertire il canale del throttle.Consultare il manuale del vostro modulo Spektrum per settare nuovamente il Bind ed il FailSafe. Consultate il manuale della vostra trasmittente per effettuare linversione del canale del throttle. 1. Per il binding con il ricevitore, consultare le istruzioni specifiche del trasmettitore. 2. Assicurarsi che la batteria di volo sia disconnessa dal velivolo. 3. Spegnere il trasmettitore. 4. Collegare la batteria di bordo. Il LED del ricevitore inizia a lampeggiare (in genere dopo 5 secondi). 5. Accertarsi che i comandi del trasmettitore siano in posizione neutra e che il throttle e il trim del throttle siano nella posizione in basso. 6. Mettere il trasmettitore nella modalit di binding. Fare riferimento al manuale del trasmettitore per istruzioni sulluso del pulsante o selettore di binding. 7. Dopo 5 - 10 secondi il LED di Stato del ricevitore diventer fisso, indicando che il ricevitore collegato al trasmettitore. Se il LED non diventa fisso, bisogna fare riferimento alla guida di risoluzione dei problemi sul retro del manuale. Per i voli successivi bisogna accendere il trasmettitore 5 secondi prima di connettere la batteria di volo. Armare il ricevitore/ESC Il Ricevitore/ESC si arma anche dopo aver fatto la connessione (binding), ma le volte successive che si collega la batteria di bordo, bisogna osservare la seguente procedura. 1. Sul trasmettitore portare completamente in basso lo stick motore e il suo trim. 2. Togliere dalla fusoliera la capottina che fa anche da copertura del vano batteria e installare la batteria di bordo (A) posizionandola completamente indietro nel suo alloggiamento. 3. Accendere il trasmettitore e aspettare 5 secondi. 4. Collegare la batteria allESC, osservando le giuste polarit. Tenere laereo diritto e fermo al riparo dal vento per almeno 5 secondi per consentire al sistema AS3X di inizializzarsi. Una connessione ben riuscita indicata da:

una serie di toni LED accesi continuamente ATTENZIONE: quando si smette di volare, scollegare sempre la batteria LiPo dallESC per togliere alimentazione al motore. LESC non ha un interruttore per armarlo e potrebbe rispondere ad ogni segnale dal trasmettitore. ATTENZIONE: quando si smette di volare, scollegare sempre la batteria LiPo dallESC per evitare di sovrascaricarla. Se le batterie vengono scaricate ad una tensione inferiore a quella minima consentita, si potrebbero danneggiare, perdendo le normali caratteristiche e rischiando di incendiarsi quando vengono caricate. Spegnimento per bassa tensione (LVC) Se si scarica una batteria LiPo al di sotto di 3 V per cella, in seguito non riuscir pi a mantenere la carica. Per proteggere la batteria di bordo dalla sovrascarica questo modello adotta il sistema LVC che toglie alimentazione al motore qualora la tensione della batteria scendesse troppo. Considerando che una parte dellenergia contenuta nella batteria serve ad alimentare il sistema di controllo del modello. Quando il regime del motore scende e sale velocente vuol dire che il sistema LVC avvisa che la tensione della batteria scesa sotto il livello minimo, quindi bisogna atterrare nel modo pi rapido e sicuro possibile. Scollegare sempre e togliere le batterie LiPo dallaereo dopo ogni volo. Prima di riporle bisogna caricarle a met, verificando che ogni cella non scenda sotto i 3V. Se non si scollegano le batterie LiPo dal regolatore, si scaricano lentamente fino alla scarica completa, danneggiandosi. Per i primi voli impostare il timer del trasmettitore o di un altro contatempo, a 5 minuti. Nei voli successivi si aumenter o diminuir questo tempo basandosi su quanto rilevato nei primi voli del modello. AVVISO: continuare a volare dopo lavviso LVC potrebbe danneggiare le batterie.
