Service should only be performed by authorized service personnel To avoid hearing impairment, place the phone to the ear when receiving calls Antenna Use only the S SERIES Security Phone designed antenna. Unauthorized antennas or modifications could damage the phone, violate the appropriate regulations and lead to malfunction. Efficient Use Hold the S SERIES Security Phone as you would for any other phone. Do not hold the antenna when the phone is in use. Holding the antenna affects call quality, may cause the phone to operate at a higher power level than needed and shorten talk and standby times. Radio Frequency and SAR Your mobile phone is a low radio frequency transmitter and receiver. When the phone is turned on, it receives and transmits radio frequency energy. S SERIES Security Phone conforms to the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) recommendations and international exposure standards which sets limits for exposure to RF fields from handheld mobile phones. SAR is the body radio frequent energy absorption measurement when using mobile phone. SAR is the tested highest quality value in lab and the mobile phone is designed to connect to network with the lowest required energy, therefore the SAR absorption value is far under the lab value when you actually using the mobile phone. For variation below SAR value does not have any safety concern. All the mobile phones are designed to meet the standard requirements. For body worn operation this phone has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines for use with an accessory that contains no metal. SAR for body worn operation has been tested for compliance at 0cm separation distance from the body. The highest SAR value is 0.038 W/kg for head and 0.784 W/kg for body. Driving Check the laws and regulations on the use of telephones in the areas where you drive. If you are going to use the phone while driving, please use hands-free operation. RF energy may affect some electronic systems in motor vehicles. In addition, some vehicle manufacturers forbid the use of mobile phones in their vehicles. Please check with your vehicle manufacturer for the use of mobile phones. Give full attention to driving. Otherwise, pull off the road and park before making or answering calls. 25 Electronic Devices Mobile phone may affect the operation of some implanted cardiac pacemakers or other medically implanted equipment. Do not place the phone over the pacemaker such as in your breast pocket. When using the phone, place it at your ear opposite the pacemaker. If a minimum distance of 15cm (16inches) is kept between the phone and the pacemaker, the risk of interference is limited. Turn off the phone if any interference could occur. Contact your cardiologist or medical equipment manufacturer for more information. Children Small sized spare parts of the phone might cause risk for children to swallow. Product Disposal Do not dispose of the phone along with household waste. Please follow local regulations on the disposal of electrical goods. Power Supply Connect AC (power supply) only to designated power sources as marked on the product. Make sure the cable is not located where it can be stepped on, tripped over or otherwise subject to damage or stress. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the unit from any power source before attempting any cleaning. Do not use AC charger outdoor or in a wet environment. Do not modify the power cable or plug. Contact a qualified electrician if the plug does not fit to the power outlet. Emergency Call Mobile phone is operated using radio communication signal and it does not assure the phone could be functioning anywhere at anytime. Hence, mobile phone should not be the only communication tool in case of emergency. It may not be able to make emergency call for some network or while network service and phone is busy. Contact local service provider for more information. Battery Ensure the battery is fully charged before use it for the first time. Keep the temperature between +5 (+41 ) and +45 might not reach its full capacity at the first few times. Communication and standby time would vary depends on the different transmitting condition. Power consumption would be lower and communication and standby time would be longer if you are within the range of network. CautionDispose battery to fire could cause explosion. Use only the original designed battery and charger. Use charger other than the original
) while charging. New battery or unused battery
(+113 may cause the battery not performing in its full capacity or the battery may be overheated 26 and cause danger Keep the battery away from liquid Keep the battery metal away from other metal objects that may damage and short circuit the battery. Do not disassemble or modify the battery Do not store battery to temperatures in excess of (140 Turn off the phone before discharge the battery Use the battery as described in this manual. Do not place battery in the mouth. If the battery is damaged, electrolyte may leak and
) . cause personal injury. Battery Disposal Please follow local regulations on the disposal of battery. Do not dispose of the battery along with household waste. Contact your local waste disposal agency for the address of the nearest battery deposit site. 27
