In the Box Inside your Kitchen Thermometermini box, you will find:

1 Kitchen Thermometermini 1 Coin Cell Battery (Installed) 1 Meat Probe 1 Colored Probe Indicator 1 Probe Wrap 1 Optional Magnetic Disc Quick Start Guide 2. Quick Start Instructions 1. Download the iDevices Connected app from the App Store and launch it from your iPad (generation 3+), iPad mini, iPhone (generation 4S+) or iPod touch (generation 5+). 2. Enable Bluetooth on your smart device under Settings. 3. Separate the Kitchen Thermometermini from its base by holding the base with one hand and gently pulling the top of the Kitchen Thermometermini upwards with the other hand. 4. On the underside of the Kitchen Thermometermini, remove the battery door by twisting it counter-clockwise. Remove the battery pull tab. Ensure the battery is in place and replace the battery door. 5. Place the Kitchen Thermometermini back into its base. 6. Plug the meat probe into the probe port. 7. Press the Kitchen Thermometermini power button for two seconds. This is located at the center of the faceplate. The Kitchen Thermometerminis display will light up, indicating the device has powered on. 8. Open the iDevices Connected app to your Kitchen Thermometermini. Tap on the iDevices logo in the gray toolbar at the top of the app. Select your Kitchen Thermometermini from the dropdown menu. to connect 9. You are ready to use your Kitchen Thermometermini!

v1.0 iDevices, LLC 3. Getting Started Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual iDevices Connected app 3.1 The iDevices Connected app provides all of the functionality and options youll need to use your Kitchen Thermometermini. The iDevices Connected app is compatible with the following devices:

iPad (mini, 3rd & 4th, Air) iPhone (4s, 5, 5c, & 5s) iPod touch (5th gen) You must be running iOS 7+ on your device to use the iDevices Connected app. Please visit the App Store and search iDevices Connected to download the free iDevices Connected app. Once youve downloaded the app, youll have access to links for instructional videos, step-by-step instructions and FAQs for troubleshooting 3.2 Battery To prepare your Kitchen Thermometermini for its first use, follow these steps:

Separate the Kitchen Thermometermini from its base by holding the base with one hand and gently pulling the Kitchen Thermometermini top upwards with the other hand. On the underside of the Kitchen Thermometermini, remove the battery door by twisting it counter-clockwise. Remove the battery pull tab. Ensure the battery is in place and replace NOTE: The same steps are used to replace the Kitchen Thermometermini battery. the battery door. v1.0 iDevices, LLC Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual 3.3 Powering On & Off To turn on the Kitchen Thermometermini, follow these steps:

Turn the Kitchen Thermometermini on by pressing and releasing the button in the center of the faceplate. The Smart LED will blink blue while waiting for pairing. To turn off the Kitchen Thermometermini, follow these steps:

Hold down the button in the center of the faceplate for 3 seconds. The Smart LED will illuminate solid white and will then turn off. Auto Shut-Off The Kitchen Thermometermini will stay powered on for 5 minutes before automatically turning off if there are no probes connected. The Kitchen Thermometermini will stay powered on for 8 hours if a probe is installed but it is not paired with a smart device. The Kitchen Thermometermini will stay on until the battery is depleted if it is paired with a smart device, even if there are no probes installed. 3.4 Connecting To connect your Kitchen Thermometermini device to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, follow these steps below:

Open Settings Tap Bluetooth Set Bluetooth to On While turned on, place your Kitchen Thermometermini next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected App. Your device will automatically recognize any available Kitchen Thermometermini devices and display them in the device list. You can view your device list by tapping the iDevices logo at the device list. Select your Kitchen Thermometermini from the device list. You will then be sent a pairing request. Once you accept, your device will pair with the Kitchen Thermometermini and you are ready to configure your settings and start cooking!

v1.0 iDevices, LLC Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual To connect an additional Kitchen Thermometermini, (or other iDevices product) device to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch:

While turned on, place your Kitchen Thermometermini (or other iDevices product) next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected app. Tap on the grey bar located at the top of the screen to expose the device menu. Select the product you would like to pair with from the device menu. Your Apple device will display a pairing request. Once accepted, your Apple device will pair with the additional product and you are ready to configure your settings and start cooking!

3.5 Mounting The Kitchen Thermometerminis base attachment to a nearby cool metal surface. is magnetic for convenient The Kitchen Thermometermini can be taken out of its base, rotated 180 and placed back into its base for two different viewing angles. The Kitchen Thermometermini comes with an optional magnetic disc with adhesive on one side. This allows the Kitchen Thermometermini to magnetically mount on a non-magnetic surface. The magnetic disc has a protective cover on its face to protect it from being scratched. To mount your magnetic disc, please follow the below steps:

Clean the surface thoroughly where the magnetic disc will be adhered to ensure proper bonding. Remove the film covering the adhesive on the backside of the magnetic disc. Adhere the magnetic disc to your desired surface. Let the magnetic disc adhere for at least 6-12 hours before mounting Kitchen Thermometermini. Place your Kitchen Thermometermini on the magnetic disc. The Kitchen Thermometerminis magnetic base is not designed to withstand high heat exposure. If the surface is too hot to touch, it is too hot for the Kitchen Thermometermini base!

NOTE:

3.6 Probe Use Acceptable Temperature Range: -22F to 572F (-30C - 300C). v1.0 iDevices, LLC Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual The Kitchen Thermometermini probes should always be inserted into the center of the item being cooked for an accurate temperature reading. The Kitchen Thermometerminis colored probe sleeve is for visual identification of the probe within the app. It is designed for cosmetic purposes only. It is not designed for heat safety. The Kitchen Thermometermini probe wraps allows for convenient storage of your probes and are magnetic so that they can be stored under your Kitchen Thermometermini when not in use. The Kitchen Thermometermini probe should be cleaned by hand with a dishcloth, standard dishwashing soap and warm water. The Kitchen Thermometermini probe is not dishwasher safe. Take precaution not to get the probes wiring wet. Be sure to avoid water exposure to the probe wiring, as well as the area where the probe wiring meets the probe. The Kitchen Thermometermini probe is not waterproof and damage may result from water exposure. Probe should never be submersed in water or be used as a liquid thermometer gauge. Be sure to route the probe wire where it will not be exposed to flames or temperatures exceeding 572. Temperatures below -22F or above 572F will not display in the iDevices Connected app and will cause the probe to disappear from connection. 3.7 Probe Wrap Use To wrap your Kitchen Thermometermini probe on the probe wrap:

Hold the probe wrap so that the clip segment is on the bottom left and the iDevices logo is legible in the center of the probe wrap. Snap the probe into the probe wraps clip, ensuring that the probes body follows the contour of the probe wrap and leaves a inch gap between the probe and the wire channel of the probe wrap. The tip of the probe should be pointed downward. Wrap your probes wire clockwise around the probe wrap. When you reach the adapter end of the probe wire, it can be inserted into the probe wraps wire channel to secure the wrapping. v1.0 iDevices, LLC Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual 4. Using the Kitchen Thermometermini 4.1 Smart LED The Smart LED allows the Kitchen Thermometermini to display the connected probe temperature reading through the use of color. Below is a list of all of the light combinations you will see on the Smart LED and their associated meanings:

Connection Solid White: Powering off or reset complete Solid Blue: Confirms pairing of new device Blinking Blue: Awaiting pairing or no alarm set Peak Preset Range Preset Solid Green: Initial temperature Solid Yellow: Target temperature is 15 F away Solid Orange: Target temperature is 5 F away Blinking Red: Target temperature reached Solid Red: Target temperature reached and alarm acknowledged Solid Green: Temperature inside range Blinking Red: Temperature outside range 4.2 Proximity Sensor The use of Bluetooth Smart allows the Kitchen Thermometermini to sense when a paired device moves in or out of range. The Kitchen Thermometermini will automatically wake and sleep at the below distances to conserve power:

Sleep 30 feet away Wake 5 feet away 4.3 Custom & Preset Alarms Manage Apple device alarms:

If you are having issues hearing the alarms from the iDevices Connected app, try these steps:

v1.0 iDevices, LLC Kitchen Thermometermini User Manual Open Settings on your device Tap Notification Center Choose the iDevices Connected app and make sure to enable notifications, including Sounds and Alerts. NOTE: Make sure the volume setting for your phone is properly set. If your sounds are off or set at a low setting, you may not hear the alarm properly. Manage iDevices Connected app alarms:

Within the app, tap the three dashes (---) to the right of the running temperature of the probe. This will bring you to your Choose Preset options. Preset Alarms:

The iDevices Connected app offers preset alarms for many types of meats and cooking temperatures. Tapping a preset alarm will set it. Custom Preset Alarms:

Custom preset alarms can be made in two styles, peak and range. Tapping Peak or Range at the bottom screen will switch between the range types. Peak: Alarm will sound when probe temperature reaches set peak temperature. Range: Alarm will sound when probe temperature is above the high temperature or below the low temperature. Creating a custom preset alarm:

Tap Create New in the Choose Preset screen Name your preset Set temperature(s) Tap Save NOTE:

Your custom preset will be saved in the My Peak Presets section of the The iDevices Connected app will not display temperatures below -22F alarm screen. or above 572F. Tap on Probe # to rename the probe Choose a probe color from the Probe Color Indicator if needed Tap Save when done 4.5 Timer Tool The timer tool allows users to set up timers. An alert will appear when the timer runs out. Create a new timer:

Under More located at the bottom of the screen, tap the Timers icon. Tap Create New to create a new timer Add a timer title. Set desired time length using scroll wheels. Tap Save in the top right corner of the app. Start the timer by sliding it on in the Timers menu. 4.6 Globe Tool The globe tool will show other users of the iDevices Connected app. Tapping on a pin will display a user-posted message and picture*. 5. Problem Solving the FAQ page Kitchen Thermometermini The following information covers some of the most common troubleshooting issues with the Kitchen Thermometermini. If your Kitchen Thermometermini is brand new, please be sure to remove the plastic tab located in the battery compartment so that the battery can come into contact with the power terminals. If this does not resolve the issue or if your Kitchen Thermometermini is not brand new, please try replacing the battery with a single brand new CR2032 coin cell battery (available at local drugstores in the specialty battery section). Im having difficulty pairing my Kitchen If you see the Kitchen Thermometermini device in your Bluetooth settings with a

"Not Connected" status, follow these steps from your Bluetooth settings menu:

Tap the blue (i) to the right of the Kitchen Thermometermini device name. Select the option "Forget this Device". Turn Bluetooth OFF on your device. Completely shut down your device. Separate the Kitchen Thermometermini from its base by holding the base with one hand and pulling the Kitchen Thermometermini top upwards with the other hand. While still powered on remove the Kitchen Thermometermini battery cover and press the reset button down with a pin until the light ring illuminates white. Replace the battery cover, ensuring the battery is in place. If you do not see the Kitchen Thermometermini device in your Bluetooth settings, please ensure that you are using the iDevices Connected app since the Kitchen Thermometerminis pairing and connection are handled by the app. If you experience further problems, please contact our customer support team for further assistance. 5.3 Connected app for iOS. If you are experiencing a problem with the iDevices Connected app for iOS, please try following the steps below to resolve any potential problems on the device-side. The Kitchen Thermometermini does not have a screen to display its temperature readings and requires the use of the iDevices Connected app and a compatible Bluetooth Smart device. 6.2 What should I do if Im having trouble connecting?

If the pairing seems to be taking a long time or fails, return to your devices Bluetooth settings and select the (i) option next to the Kitchen Thermometermini. Now you can complete the following steps to pair your device:

Tap the Home button on the device (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch). From the Home screen, double tap the Home button. This will zoom out of the home screen and display any/all previously running apps on the Apple device from the Multitasking Bar. v1.0 iDevices, LLC iGrillmini User Manual 3. Getting Started iDevices Connected App 3.1 The iDevices Connected App provides all of the functionality and options youll need to use your iGrillmini. The iDevices Connected App is compatible with the following devices:

iPad (mini, 3rd & 4th gen) iPhone (4s, 5, 5c, & 5s) iPod touch (5th gen) Please visit the App Store to download the free iDevices Connected App. Once youve downloaded the app, youll have access to links for instructional videos, step-by-step instructions and FAQs for troubleshooting 3.2 Battery To prepare your iGrillmini for its first use, follow these steps:

Separate the iGrillmini from its base by holding the base with one hand and gently pulling the iGrillmini upwards with the other hand. On the underside of the iGrillmini, remove the battery door by twisting it counter-clockwise. Remove the Battery pull tab. Ensure the battery is in place and replace the battery door. To replace the iGrillmini battery, follow these steps:

Separate the iGrillmini from its base by holding the base with one hand and pulling the iGrillmini upwards with the other hand. On the underside of the iGrillmini, rotate the battery door counter-

clockwise to remove it. Replace the battery with a coin cell CR2032 battery and refasten the battery door. v1.0 iDevices, LLC iGrillmini User Manual 3.3 Powering On & Off To turn on the iGrillmini, follow these steps:

Turn the iGrillmini on by pressing the button in the center of the faceplate. The Smart LED will illuminate white and then blink blue while waiting for pairing. To turn off the iGrillmini, follow these steps:

Turn the iGrillmini off by holding down the button in the center of the faceplate for 3 seconds. The Smart LED will illuminate solid white and will then turn off. 3.4 Connecting To connect the initial iGrillmini, device to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch by turning on the Bluetooth on your device by following these steps below:

Open Settings Tap General Tap Bluetooth Set Bluetooth to On While turned on, place your iGrillmini next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected App. Your device will automatically recognize any available iGrillmini devices and display them in the device list. Select your iGrillmini from the list. Your device will automatically pair with the iGrillmini and you are ready to configure your settings and start cooking!

To connect additional iGrillmini, devices to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch:

While turned on, place your iGrillmini next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected App. Select your additional iGrillmini from the device menu. Your Apple device will automatically pair with the additional iGrillmini and you are ready to configure your settings and start cooking!

v1.0 iDevices, LLC iGrillmini User Manual 3.5 Mounting The iGrillminis base is magnetic for convenient attachment to a nearby metal surface. The iGrillmini can be taken out of its base, rotated 180 and placed back into its base for two different viewing angles. The iGrillmini comes with a magnetic disc that can adhere to any surface to allow the iGrillmini to be mounted. To mount your magnetic disc, please follow the below steps:

Clean the surface thoroughly where the magnetic disc will be adhered to ensure proper bonding. Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the magnetic disc. Adhere the magnetic disc to your desired surface. Let magnetic disc adhere for at least 6-12 hours before mounting iGrillmini. Place your iGrillmini on the magnetic disc. 3.6 Probe Use The iGrillmini probe should always be inserted into the center of the item being cooked for an accurate temperature reading. The iGrillmini probe sleeve is for visual identification and cosmetic purposes only and is not designed for heat safety. The iGrillmini probe wrap allows convenient storage for your probe and is magnetic so that it can be attached to your iGrillmini when not in use. The iGrillmini probe should be cleaned by hand with standard dishwashing soap and warm water. The iGrillmini probe is not dishwasher safe. Please be sure to avoid water exposure to the probes wiring as well as the area where the probe wiring meets the probe since the iGrillmini is not waterproof and damage may result from water exposure. Probes should never be submersed in water. NOTE: Be sure to route the probe wire where it will not be exposed to flames or temperatures exceeding 500. v1.0 iDevices, LLC iGrillmini User Manual 4. Using the iGrill 4.1 Smart LED The Smart LED allows the iGrillmini to display the connected probe temperature reading through the use of color. Below is a list of all of the light combinations you will see on the Smart LED and their associated meanings:

Troubleshooting The following information covers some of the most common troubleshooting issues with the iGrillmini. If this has been done, please contact our customer support for further assistance. 5.3 Connected App If you are experiencing a problem with the iDevices Connected App, please try following the steps below to resolve any potential problems on the device-side. Im experiencing a problem with the iDevices Make sure the iGrillmini is paired with the Apple device via Bluetooth and a temperature probe is plugged into the unit. Tap the Home button on the device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch). From the Home screen, double tap the Home button again. This will zoom out of the home screen and display any/all previously running apps on the Apple device. Swipe to locate the iDevices Connected App. Touch the iDevices Connected App image and swipe it upward to close the existing session. I dont have a device with which to pair my iGrillmini. 6.1 Can I still use it?

The iGrillmini does not have a screen to display its temperature readings and requires the use of the iDevices Connected App and a compatible Bluetooth Smart device. 6.2 What should I do if Im having trouble connecting?

If the first pairing seems to be taking a long time or fails, return to your devices Bluetooth settings and select the Not Paired option next to your iGrillmini. Doing so will display the following screen:

Press and hold down the power button located at the bottom of the faceplate between the < and > buttons for 3 seconds. The display will show OFF. Upon releasing the power button, the iGrill2 will turn off. Auto Shut-Off The iGrill2 will stay powered on for 5 minutes before automatically turning off if there are no probes installed and it is not connected to a smart device. The iGrill2 will stay powered on for 8 hours before automatically turning off if not paired to a smart device and probes are installed. The iGrill2 will stay powered on until the battery is depleted if at least 1 probe is installed and it is paired with a smart device. 3.4 Connecting To connect your iGrill2 to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, follow these steps:

Open Settings Tap Bluetooth Set Bluetooth to On While turned on, place your iGrill2 next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected app. Your device will automatically recognize any available iGrill2 devices and display them in the device list. You can view your device list by tapping the iDevices logo at the top of the app. Select your iGrill2 from the device list menu. You will then be sent a pairing request. When you accept, your device will pair with the iGrill2 and you are ready to configure your settings and start grilling!

v1.0 6 iDevices, LLC 7 iGrill2 User Manual To connect an additional iGrill2 (or other iDevices product) device to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch follow these steps:

While turned on, place your iGrill2 (or other iDevices product) next to your Apple device and open the iDevices Connected app. Tap on the grey bar located at the top of the screen to expose the device menu. Select the product you would like to pair with from the device menu. Your Apple device will display a pairing request. Once accepted, your Apple device will pair with the additional product and you are ready to configure your settings and start grilling!

3.5 Mounting The iGrill2s base is magnetic for convenient positioning on a cool portion of your grill, smoker or other magnetic surfaces. The iGrill2 can be taken out of its base, rotated 180 and placed back into its base for two different viewing angles. The iGrill2 comes with an optional magnetic disc with adhesive on one side. This allows the iGrill2 to magnetically mount to a non-magnetic surface. The magnetic disc has a protective cover on its face to protect it from being scratched. To mount your magnetic disc, please follow the below steps:

Clean the surface thoroughly where the magnetic disc will be adhered to ensure proper bonding. Remove the film covering the adhesive on the magnetic disc (not the scratch protection film on the face of the disc). Adhere the magnetic disc to your desired surface. Let the magnetic disc bond to the surface for at least 24 hours before mounting the iGrill2 to it. NOTE:

The base of the iGrill2 is not designed to withstand high heat and it must be placed on a cool surface. If the surface is too hot to touch, its too hot for the base!

7 v1.0 iDevices, LLC 8 iGrill2 User Manual 3.6 Probe Use Acceptable Temperature Range: -22F to 700F (-30C 371C) The iGrill2 probes should always be inserted into the center of the item being cooked for an accurate temperature reading. The iGrill2 colored probe indicators are for visual identification of the probe(s) within the app and cosmetic purposes only. They are not designed for heat safety. The iGrill2 probes should be cleaned by hand with a dishcloth, standard dishwashing soap and warm water. The probes are not dishwasher safe. Take precaution not to get the probes wiring wet. The iGrill2 probe wraps allows for convenient storage of your probes and are magnetic so that they can be stored under your iGrill2 when not in use. NOTE:

Be sure to avoid water exposure to the probes wiring as well as the area where the probes wiring meets the probes. The iGrill2 probes are not waterproof and damage may result from water exposure. Probes should never be submersed in water. When using a Pro Meat Probe, be sure to route the probe wire where it will not be exposed to flames or temperatures exceeding 572 or 300C. iGrill2 comes equipped with two Pro Meat Probes which can be exposed to temperatures as high as 700F or 371C. Temperatures below -22F or above 572F (-30C 300C) will not display in the iDevices Connected app and will cause the probe to disappear from connection. 3.7 Probe Wrap Use To wrap your iGrill2 probe on the probe wrap:

Hold the probe wrap so that the clip segment is on the bottom left and the iDevices logo is legible in the center of the probe wrap. Snap the probe into the probe wraps clip, ensuring that the probes body follows the contour of the probe wrap and leaves a inch gap between the probe and the wire channel of the probe wrap. The tip of the probe should be pointing downward. Wrap your probes wire clockwise around the probe wrap. When you reach the adapter end of the probe wire, it can be inserted into the probe wraps wire channel to secure the wrapping. 8 v1.0 iDevices, LLC 9 iGrill2 User Manual 4. Using the iGrill2 4.1 Display The iGrill2s display contains the following:

Display Displays temperature of currently active probe. Displays DC for temperatures below set range or below -22F (-30C). Displays DH for temperatures above set range or above 572F (300C). Displays OFF during power off sequence. Animates during power on sequence and during reset. Blinks blue when discoverable and awaiting pairing. Illuminates solid blue when paired. Bluetooth LED Probe Indicator LEDs Far left side LED illuminates to indicate Probe 1 temperature being Middle left side LED illuminates to indicate Probe 2 temperature being Middle right side LED illuminates to indicate Probe 3 temperature being Far right side LED illuminates to indicate Probe 4 temperature being displayed. displayed. displayed. displayed. 4.2 Probe Toggle Buttons The iGrill2 has two buttons adjacent to the power button to toggle between probes when there is more than one probe connected. Pressing the < or > button will switch from the currently displayed probe temperature (as indicated by the illuminated probe indicator LED) to the next probe temperature in that direction. Holding either the < or > button down for 1 second will activate a cycle that will continuously cycle through displaying each probes temperature. Pressing the <, >, or power button while the alternating display cycle is activated will disable the display cycle. 9 v1.0 iDevices, LLC 10 iGrill2 User Manual 4.3 Proximity Sensor The use of Bluetooth Smart allows the iGrill2 to sense when a paired device moves in or out of range. Custom preset alarms can be made in two styles, peak and range. Peak: Alarm will sound when probe temperature reaches set peak temperature. Tap Create New. Name your preset under Alarm Title. Set temperature(s). Tap Save. NOTE:

Your custom preset will be saved in the My Peak Presets and My Range Presets sections of the alarm screen. The iDevices Connected app will not display temperatures below -22F

(-30C) or above 572F (300C). When your target temperature has been reached, the iGrill2 will produce an audible tone and the iDevices Connected app alarm will alert you with a notification. I dont have a device with which to pair my iGrill2. 6.1 Can I still use it?

The iGrill2 has a display to show its temperature readings and it can be used to view the current temperature from the inserted probes. The alarm settings, timer tool, globe tool, graph tool and probe renaming features for the iGrill2 require the use of the iDevices Connected app and a compatible Bluetooth Smart Ready device. 6.2 What should I do if Im having trouble connecting?

If the first pairing seems to be taking a long time or fails, please ensure that you are using the iDevices Connected app to pair your iGrill2. The iDevices Connected app handles the connectivity of the iGrill2, so it will not appear in your devices Bluetooth menu until it has been paired within the app. Visit the App Store to download the iDevices Connected app. If the re-pairing seems to be taking a long time or fails, return to your devices Bluetooth settings and select the (i) option next to the iGrill2.
