The sensor has two metal prongs underneath and will sound an alarm when both prongs come into contact with water. 4 The sensor has silicon feet to prevent it from moving around so there is no need to use double-sided tape or any other adhesive that may obstruct the flow of water. Testing the alarm We recommend testing the alarm to familiarize yourself with the way it sounds. Place the sensor in a bowl of water to test the alarm. The alarm will stop when the prongs underneath the sensor dry out. Adding more sensors You can connect as many sensors as you like to the DIRIGERA hub and IKEA Home smart app. To add a new sensor follow the instructions in the IKEA Home smart app. Battery care When its time to replace the battery, a red LED indicator will light up three times on the sensor and in the IKEA Home smart app you will be notified when the battery is low. Changing the battery Open the back of the sensor, insert a new AAA/HR03 battery and close it again. Please note the safety information in this document concerning battery usage and disposal.
