What is covered and for how long?

ALL PRODUCTS: inMusic Brands, Inc. ("inMusic") warrants to the original purchaser that ION Audio products and all other accessories are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period commencing upon the date of purchase from an authorized ION Audio dealer and continuing for the following period of time after that date factory-refurbished merchandise to be free of material and operational defects for a period of ninety (90) days from the original date of retail sale. This refurbished merchandise warranty is not transferable. ION Audio warrants

(90) days. for ninety 2. What is not covered? This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon proper use of the product by the purchaser. This Limited Warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by improper installation or improper connection to any peripheral Damage caused by an external electrical fault Damage from use of parts not manufactured or sold by ION Audio Product purchased from anyone other than an ION Audio authorized dealer Modifications to product not approved in writing by ION Audio Equipment that has the serial number removed or made illegible Normal cosmetic and mechanical wear Damage or loss during transit to an Authorized ION Audio Repair Center Units that are purchased and/or located outside of the continental USA 3 3. What are inMusic's obligations? During the applicable warranty period, ION Audio will repair or replace, at ION Audio's sole option, without charge to the purchaser, any defective component part of the product. To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, purchaser must first contact ION Audio and obtain a return authorization number ("RA#"). Purchaser must then return the product to ION Audio in an adequate container for shipping, accompanied by purchaser's sales receipt or comparable proof of sale showing the date of purchase, the serial number of the product, and the seller's name and address. To obtain an RA# and assistance on where to return the product, contact ION Audio customer service at 401-658-3743. Upon receipt, ION Audio will repair or replace the defective products. ION Audio may, at ION Audio's sole option, use rebuilt, reconditioned, or new parts or components when repairing any product or replace a product with a rebuilt, reconditioned, new or comparable product. Repaired products will be warranted for a period equal to the remainder of the original Limited Warranty on the original product or for 90 days, whichever is longer. All replaced parts, components, boards, and equipment become the property of ION Audio. If ION Audio determines that any product is not covered by this Limited Warranty, purchaser must pay all parts, shipping, and labor charges for the repair or return of such product. 4. What are the limits on inMusic's liabilities? THE WARRANTIES GIVEN IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, TOGETHER WITH ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES COVERING ION AUDIO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. 7 RETURN INFORMATION A Return Authorization number must be obtained from your local ION Audio Representative. For your representative go to ionaudio.com. A copy of the original sales receipt must also be included for the equipment to be repaired under warranty. The faulty equipment must be packed in its original packaging. One additional outer layer of packaging must be included to ensure product safety. Failures to do so may inadequately protect the equipment in transit and, therefore, jeopardize the customer's warranty. ION Audio will not accept C.O.D. shipments and no call tags will be issued for merchandise return. ION Audio will not return repaired merchandise to customers by priority service, unless by written request at the customer's cost. Requests must be submitted in writing with merchandise returned. With proper use and treatment, a lead-acid battery can last for years. Here are some recommendations for getting the longest life from the internal battery. GENERAL USAGE STORAGE REPAIR DISPOSAL FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE USING IT. CHARGE THE BATTERY COMPLETELY AFTER EACH USE. For best product longevity, do not store at exceedingly hot (greater than 90F (32C)) or exceedingly cold (less than 32F (0C)) temperatures. It is acceptable to leave your sound system plugged in. This will not overcharge the battery. If you leave the battery level low and do not charge it for 6 months, it may permanently lose capacity. If the battery fails to charge, check your fuse near the power cable input. If your fuse is intact and it still will not charge, contact ION Audio at ionaudio.com. Microphone Input with Volume Control (1/4"): This mono input accepts a 1/4" input such as a microphone, guitar, or other musical instrument. Auxiliary input: This stereo 3.5mm (1/8) input can be used to connect a CD player, MP3 player, or other audio source. Bluetooth: The Paired LED will be lit when a device is paired to EXPLORER BLUETOOTH. This LED will not be lit when EXPLORER BLUETOOTH is first powered on (unless it was previously paired with a device). Press the Disconnect button to disconnect a paired Bluetooth device. Master Volume Control: This adjusts the speakers main mix volume, which includes the Microphone Input, Auxiliary Input, Tuner, and the audio of a paired Bluetooth device. AM/FM Presets: Store a favorite radio station and quickly tune to a preset radio station. There are 6 numeric positions for AM stations and 6 numeric positions for FM stations. To add a preset:

A. Select either the AM or FM band and then use the Tuner buttons to select the desired radio station. B. Press and hold a numeric preset button to assign the current station to that preset number. To use an added preset, tap a preset number once lightly to go to the stored radio station. Radio Selector: This switch sets the tuner to AM or FM or turns the tuner off. (Note: This switch does not turn the unit's power off just the tuner.) LCD: Displays the current radio station. Tuner: Use these buttons to search for a radio station. To "seek"

(jump to the next available station), hold this down for a few seconds until it starts to seek a station. The unit will remember the last station you were on and start at that station when you power off and power on again. Power LED: Indicates whether EXPLORER BLUETOOTH is on or off. 9. 10. USB Charge: Connect your devices charge cable here to charge it. USB charging only functions when the units power is turned on. Note: To charge your smartphones and tablets faster, put your devices screen to sleep. 11. Device Cradle: Place your iPad/iPod touch/iPhone, Android or other device here to be held. These can be connected via Bluetooth or to the aux input using the included 3.5mm (1/8) to 3.5mm (1/8) cable. Note: It is recommended to remove your iPad or other device from the cradle before transporting or traveling with EXPLORER. 12. Antenna: Adjust this FM antenna to get the best radio reception. Note: To prevent accidental damage, we recommend rotating the antenna only when it is positioned horizontally. Also, retract the antenna when the Tuner is not in use. Note: When using AM radio if you have a Bluetooth device that is paired, this will cause poor AM reception. Unpair your Bluetooth device in order to listen to AM radio. 13. NFC: Tap your NFC (near-field communication) supported and enabled device here to pair your phone by gently bumping on the N logo. Power ON/OFF Switch: Turns EXPLORER BLUETOOTH on or off. Please note that while EXPLORER BLUETOOTH is 16. connected to a power source, it does not need to be powered on to charge the battery. 18. Battery Level Indicator: While the unit is powered ON and unit is not plugged in, these four lights indicate the power left in the battery. Battery life varies based on volume and usage. 19. Charging LED: This illuminates when the unit is attached to wall power and is in the process of charging. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 4 Troubleshooting If the sound is distorted: Try lowering the volume control of your sound source or musical instrument. Also, try to reduce the overall volume of EXPLORER BLUETOOTH. If there is too much bass: Try adjusting the tone or EQ control on your sound source to lower the bass level. This will allow you to play the music louder before clipping (distortion) occurs. If there is a high-pitched whistling noise when using microphones: This is probably feedback. Point the microphone away from the speaker. If there is poor AM reception: To adjust AM reception, move entire unit. If you cant hear the microphone over the music volume: Turn down the music volume from your source. Pairing a Bluetooth Device 1. 2. Turn on your Bluetooth device. Power on EXPLORER BLUETOOTH and it will automatically go into pairing mode to search for Bluetooth devices. You will know you are in pairing mode when the LED is blank. If your Bluetooth device is not able to pair to the amp, press the disconnect button on the amp to break previous Bluetooth connections and reset the Bluetooth module. Navigate to your Bluetooth devices setup screen, find Explorer BT and connect. Note: If your Bluetooth device prompts for a pairing code, enter 0000. EXPLORER BLUETOOTH LED will light up solid when it is 'paired'. Note: If you experience trouble pairing or playing music, update your device's OS. Problemen Oplossen Het geluid is vervormd: Probeer het volumeniveau aan de geluidsbron of het muziekinstrument lager te zetten. Probeer ook om het hoofdvolume van de EXPLORER BLUETOOTH te verminderen. Er zijn teveel bassen: Probeer op de toon- of EQ-bedieningsknoppen aan uw geluidsbron het niveau van de lage tonen te verlagen. Dit stelt u in staat de muziek luider te zetten vooraleer afgeknipte (vervormde) klanken optreden. Er is een hoge fluitende pieptoon bij het gebruik van microfoons: Dit is waarschijnlijk feedback. Richt de microfoon weg van de luidspreker. Bij slechte AM-ontvangst: Verplaats heel het apparaat voor het verbeteren van de AM-ontvangst. Als u de microfoon niet kan horen boven het geluid van de muziek: Verlaag het volume van de muziek van uw geluidsbron. Een Bluetooth-Apparaat Koppelen 1. 2. Zet uw Bluetooth-apparaat aan. Bij het aanzetten van EXPLORER BLUETOOTH zet het zich automatisch in koppelmodus, om te zoeken naar Bluetooth-apparaten. U merkt wanneer u zich in koppelingsmodus bevindt als de LED niet brandt. Als uw Bluetooth-apparaat zich niet kan koppelen aan de versterker, druk dan op de knop Verbinding verbreken op de versterker om de vorige Bluetooth-verbindingen te verbreken en de Bluetooth-module opnieuw in te stellen.
