Rechargeable Batteries Rechargeable lead-acid batteries are the same type used in automobiles. As with your car battery, how you use this battery has a significant impact on its lifespan. With proper use and treatment, a lead-acid battery can last for years. Here are some recommendations for getting the longest life from the internal battery. General Usage Charge fully before use. Charge fully before storing. Storage Repair For best product longevity, do not store at exceedingly hot (greater than 90F / 32C) or exceedingly cold (less than 32F / 0C) temperatures. It is acceptable to leave your sound system plugged in. This will not overcharge the battery. If you leave the battery level low and do not charge it for 6 months, it may permanently lose capacity. If the battery fails to charge, check the fuse near the power cable input. If the fuse is not intact, please replace it. The battery can be replaced (details in the Technical Specifications). Aux Input 1: Connect a line-level device, such as a CD player, laptop, smartphone, or media device, to this 1/8 (3.5 mm) input. 2. Aux Input 2: Connect a line-level device, such as a CD player, tablet, smartphone, or media device to these coaxial inputs. 3. USB Ports: Both USB ports are capable of 2.1A charging. The top USB port also supports USB flash drive playback of MP3 and WMA files. 4. SD Card Slot: Connect a SD card here to play your MP3 and WMA files. 5. XLR+1/4: Connect dynamic microphones to these mic inputs. 6. Mic/Line Switch: Press this switch in to have the gain set for mic level sources. Have the switch in the outward position for line-level sources. 7. Line Output: Connect this 1/4 TRS (6.35 mm) output to another Audio Commander. 8. Wireless Receivers: Select the wireless mic channel using the Up/Down buttons and press the Set button to link the channel to the wireless mic. 1. Ensure 2 new AA alkaline batteries are installed in the wireless microphone. 2. Pair the wireless microphone (found in the side compartment) to W. Mic Receiver 01 on Audio Commander. a. Turn on Audio Commander and the wireless microphone. b. Select a channel with the best reception using the Up/Down buttons on the receiver. c. Place the wireless microphone IR sensor (found above the power button) near the receivers IR LED and press the Set button on the receiver. Wait for about 3 seconds until the IR LED stops flashing. When it finds an interference-free channel, the RF LED will illuminate on the receiver showing the mic is matched to that channel. 3. Adjust the wireless microphone gain using the W. Mic 1 knob on Audio Commander. 4. As you speak, watch the AF indicator on W. Mic Receiver 01 to make sure a signal is being received. Note: Make sure to turn the Browse knob and select the appropriate W.Mic source in order to output a signal. To set up the second wireless microphone, follow the same steps above for pairing to W. Mic Receiver 02. Headset Microphone Setup To use the included headset microphone, follow these setup steps:
1. Ensure new batteries are installed in the beltpack transmitter. 2. Connect the headset microphone to the beltpack transmitter. 3. Pair the beltpack transmitter to the wireless receiver on Audio Commander. a. Turn on Audio Commander. b. Turn on the beltpack transmitter. c. Select a channel with the best reception using the Up/Down buttons on the Audio Commander receiver. d. Lift the cover from the compartment and place the beltpack transmitter IR sensor near the receivers IR LED. Press the Set button on the receiver. Wait for about 3 seconds until the IR LED stops flashing. When it finds an interference-free channel, the RF LED will illuminate on the receiver to show that the beltpack transmitter is matched to that channel. 4. Adjust the microphone gain using the W. Mic knob on Audio Commander. 5. As you speak, watch the AF indicator on the receiver to make sure a signal is being received. Note: Make sure to turn the Browse knob and select the appropriate W.Mic source in order to output a signal. 8 Playing Music from a USB Flash Drive 1. Connect your USB flash drive to the top USB port on the rear panel. 2. Press and release the Mode button until the USB device appears on the display screen. 3. Use the |<< and >>| buttons to scroll through your files and press Play to select the track to play. Playing Music from a SD Card 1. Insert a SD card into the card slot. 2. Press and release the Mode button until the SD card appears on the display screen. 3. Use the |<< and >>| buttons to scroll through your tracks and press Play when a file is selected to play. Playing Music from the Aux Input 1. Connect your media devices output to one of the Aux inputs on Audio Commander. 2. Play your music device and adjust the source volume if needed. Note: A source played through the Aux inputs will be blended along with the USB, SD, Bluetooth, Mic/Line inputs, and W.Mic 1/2 sources. Adjust the Aux In volume as needed. Pairing a Bluetooth Device 1. Turn on your Bluetooth device. 2. Navigate to your Bluetooth devices setup screen, find Audio Commander and connect. Note: If your Bluetooth device prompts for a pairing code, enter 0000. Note: Use the Mode button to select Bluetooth as the source. To disconnect pairing while the Bluetooth icon is lit solid, press and release the Bluetooth button. To connect to another Bluetooth device, repeat step 3. 9 Pairing a Bluetooth Device Using NFC NFC (near-field communication) allows data exchange from devices, such as pairing, by gently bumping them together. Check in your devices manual to see if this feature is supported. To use NFC to pair with Audio Commander:
1. In order to use NFC, your device must be turned on and unlocked. 2. Enter your devices Settings menu and check that NFC is turned On. 3. Power on Audio Commander. 4. Press and release the Bluetooth button on Audio Commander. 5. Touch and briefly hold your device to the NFC logo. 6. Follow the pairing instructions that appear on your phone. If a passcode is required, enter 0000. Note: Use the Mode button to select Bluetooth as the source. To unpair, gently bump your device against the NFC logo located on top of Audio Commander. Linking Two Audio Commanders 1. Power on each Audio Commander. 2. Connect a 1/4 (6.35 mm) audio cable from the Line Out of the first Audio Commander to the Line In of the second Audio Commander. 3. Ensure the Line/Mic switch is set to Line. 4. Play your music on the first Audio Commander. 5. Para conectarse a otro dispositivo Bluetooth repita el paso 3. 18 Cmo aparear un dispositivo Bluetooth usando NFC La tecnologa NFC (comunicacin de campo cercano) permite el intercambio de datos entre dispositivos, tal como el apareamiento, juntndolos suavemente. Compruebe en el manual de su dispositivo si se soporta esta caracterstica. Cmo usar NFC para aparearse con el Audio Commander:
1. A fin de usar NFC, su dispositivo debe estar encendido y desbloqueado. 2. Abra el men Settings (Configuracin) de su dispositivo y verifique que NFC est On (Activado). 3. Encienda el Audio Commander. 4. Pulse y suelte el botn Bluetooth del Audio Commander. 5. Toque y acerque brevemente su dispositivo del logo de NFC. 6. (Denon Pro) products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period commencing upon the date of purchase from an authorized Denon Pro dealer and continuing for the following period of time after that date for (1) Year. 2. 4 Return Information A return merchant authorization number must be obtained from your local Denon Pro representative. For your representative go to denonpro.com. A copy of the original sales receipt must also be included for the equipment to be repaired under warranty. The faulty equipment must be packed in its original packaging. One additional outer layer of packaging must be included to ensure product safety. Failure to do so may inadequately protect the equipment in transit and therefore jeopardize the warranty. Denon Pro will not accept COD shipments and no call tags will be issued for merchandise return. Denon Pro will not return repaired merchandise to customers by priority service except by written request at the customers cost. Requests must be submitted in writing with returned merchandise. The defective Denon Pro equipment should be sent freight prepaid with the return merchant authorization number printed clearly on the outer packaging and original sales receipt enclosed to your local service center. For optimum performance:
All slide faders are subject to wear. Excessive force can wear out the faders quickly. User-
replaceable slide faders are not covered by our warranty. Never use spray cleaners on the slide controls. Residues cause excessive dirt build-up and this will void your warranty. In normal use, slide controls can last for many years. If they malfunction
(usually because of a dirty or dusty environment), consult a professional technician. Always make sure that AC power is off while making any connections. Use appropriate cables throughout your system. Do not use excessively long cables (i.e. over 32 feet / 10 meters). Be sure plugs and jacks are tightly mated. Loose connections can cause hum, noise, or intermittents that could easily damage your speakers. Make the input and output connections with readily available low-capacitance stereo cables. Cable quality makes a big difference in audio fidelity and punch. See your Denon Pro dealer or an electronics or audio specialist store if you are not sure which cables to use. Never attempt to make any adjustments other than those described in this manual, or repairs. Take the unit to your dealer or to an authorized Denon Pro service center. Always remember: turn amps on last and off first. Begin with master faders or volume controls on minimum and the amplifier gain/input control(s) down. Wait 810 seconds before turning up the volume. This prevents transients which may cause severe speaker damage. Use restraint when operating controls. Try to move them slowly. Rapid adjustments could damage equipment due to amplifier clipping. Avoid amplifier clipping at all costs: this occurs when the red LEDs (usually on the front panel of most professional power amplifiers) start flashing. Clipping is when the power amplifier is distorting and working beyond its limits. Amplifier distortion is the main cause of speaker failure. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. Never place cans of beer, soda, glasses of water or anything wet near or on top of the unit!
Headphone outputs can be set to levels which can cause damage to your ears. Use caution. This unit may contain a microcomputer for signal processing and control functions. In very rare situations, severe interference, noise from an external source, or static electricity may cause it to lockup. In the unlikely event that this should happen, turn off the unit, wait at least five seconds, and then turn it back on again. Under rare circumstances, if this product is exposed to electromagnetic interference during use, there may be a slight drop in signal-to-noise ratio. 8 Informacin sobre devoluciones Debe obtenerse un nmero de autorizacin de devolucin (RMA) del representante local de su fabricante. Para informacin sobre su representante, visite denonpro.com. Alle Schieberegler unterstehen der Abnutzung. bermige Kraftanwendung kann zu einer vorzeitigen Abnutzung des Schiebereglers fhren. Fr durch den Benutzer ersetzte Schieberegler kann keine Haftung bernommen werden. Benutzen Sie keine Sprayreiniger fr die Schieberegler. Die Rckstnde verursachen die bermige Ansammlung von Schmutz und dieses wird Ihre Garantie annullieren. Bei normaler Benutzung knnen Schieberegler viele Jahre betriebsfhig bleiben. Bei unsachgemem Funktionieren (gewhnlich wegen schmutziger oder staubiger Umgebung) wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann. Versichern Sie sich immer, dass der AC Power-Schalter in Position Off (aus) ist, whrend Sie jedwelche Anschlsse machen. Benutzen Sie passendes Leitungskabel in ihrem gesamten Stromnetz. Benutzen Sie keine allzu langen Versorgungskabel (z.B. ber 10 Meter / 32 Fu). Versichern Sie sich, dass die Stecker fest in den Steckdosen angeschlossen sind. Versuchen Sie nicht, irgendwelche sonstige Vernderungen oder Reparaturen am Gert zu unternehmen als jene, die in diesem Handbuch beschrieben sind. Bringen Sie das Gert zu Ihrem Hndler oder zu einem autorisierten Denon Pro Service Center. Vergessen Sie nicht: Schalten sie Verstrker zuletzt ein und zuerst aus. Beginnen Sie den Betrieb des Gertes mit den Schiebereglern und Lautstrkereglern auf Minimum und dem Verstrker-Input in niedrigster Position. Warten Sie 8-10 Sekunden, bevor Sie die Lautstrke aufdrehen. Dies verhindert Transiente, die zur Schdigung der Lautsprecher fhren knnen. Bettigen Sie die Regler mit Vorsicht. Versuchen Sie, diese langsam zu bewegen. Schnelle Bewegungen knnen das Gert durch clipping (Abhacken) des Verstrkers beschdigen. Vermeiden Sie ein clipping des Verstrkers um jeden Preis: dies geschieht wenn die roten LED-Anzeigen
(gewhnlich an der Vorderseite der meisten professionellen Verstrker angebracht) zu blinken beginnen. Durch clipping entsteht eine verzerrte Wiedergabe durch den Verstrker, der berfordert ist. Verstrkerverzerrung ist die Hauptursache fr Schdigung von Lautsprechern. Fr die Vorbeugung von Brand oder Stromschlag stellen Sie das Gert nicht im Regen oder in feuchter Umgebung auf. Stellen Sie niemals Bierdosen, Soda, Wasserglser oder sonstige nasse Gegenstnde auf das Gert!

Dieses Gert enthlt einen Mikrocomputer fr die Signalverarbeitung und die Bedienfunktionen. In sehr seltenen Fllen knnen starke Interferenzen, Rauschen von externen Quellen oder elektrostatische Aufladung Funktionsstrungen hervorrufen. Schalten Sie das Gert in diesem unwahrscheinlichen Fall aus, warten Sie mindestens fnf Sekunden und schalten Sie das Gert dann wieder ein. Stromquellen: Dieses Produkt sollte nur an eine in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschriebenen oder einer auf dem Gert gekennzeichneten Stromquelle angeschlossen werden. 13. Interne/Externe Spannungswahlschalter (falls zutreffend): Schalter fr die interne/externe Spannung sollten, falls vorhanden, ausschlielich durch Fachpersonal zurckgesetzt und mit entsprechenden Anschlusskabeln fr alternative Spannungsquellen versorgt werden.
