During manufacturing the devices Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is enlcosed into the external plastic shell, this is then completely filled with black liquid epoxy potting compound. The device is then baked inside an oven in order to harden the epoxy leaving only the 4 core RS-485 interface cable exposed. Therfore there is no possible way for the end user to open or dismantle the product in order to visually inspect or identify the PCB.
