Important Safety Information and Warnings FCC Part 15 Compliance Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. Revision Number: 0.3 3 Home Deployment Intel Clane User Manual Safety Notices The FCC with its action in ET Docket 96-8 has adopted a safety standard for human exposure to radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy emitted by FCC certifi ed equipment. "Intel Corporation and Clane" meets the Human Exposure limits found in OET Bulletin 65, 2001, and ANSI/IEEE C95.1, 1992. Proper operation of this radio according to the instructions found in this manual will result in exposure substantially below the FCCs recommended limits. The following safety precautions should be observed:
Do not touch or move antenna while the unit is transmitting or receiving. Do not hold any component containing the radio such that the antenna is very close or touching any exposed parts of the body, especially the face or eyes, while transmitting. Use in specifi c environments:
The use of wireless devices in hazardous locations is limited by the constraints posed by the safety directors of such environments. Do not open the Clane sensors. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Do not spill liquid on the Clane sensors. Do not operate the Clane sensors near water. Getting Started Introduction The Clane system transforms eldercare with advanced sensor technology that learns the daily living patterns of senior residents. The care staff sends you a series of questions that facilitates the delivery of personalized care to help improve response times and identify potential problems before they become emergencies. Starting a Session When you fi rst get the prompt on your touchscreen, simply touch the screen to start the session and follow the instructions on the screen. For any question if, you are not ready to respond, you may defer the session by pressing the "Ask Later" button on the screen and you will be prompted later. When ready, answer each question by pressing the appropriate button (Yes or No) on the screen. A F T R D Ending a Session After the session, leave the touchscreen on.
