2 This accessory can be worn at all times. Whenever an emergency arises, the transmitter will send an alarm to the SLU and then immediately communicate that emergency to the control center, and a two-way HFM* session will be automatically activated. THE MAN DOWN:
This man down operates by the position of the unit. Whether the client wears the unit on his belt or as a pendant, should this unit not be in a vertical position for a period of 10 sec it will begin to beep for another 10 sec before transmitting a signal to the control center. The client can abort the transmission during this time by pressing the button on the transmitter. THE TETHER:
This unit is worn as a pendant or clipped on to a belt. It transmits a signal to the SLU every 15 seconds. Should the client wonder outside the perimeter, the SLU will transmit this info to the control center advising that client has wondered off. This unit doesnt require away installation. They maximum rage of this unit is 100Ft (31Meters) open air. It is important that the receiver (SLU) is located on a non-metallic surface. LOW BATTERY:
In the event of a low battery condition this unit will transmit to the control center a low battery signal approximate every 11 hours or until the battery is replace in the transmitter. The Warranty is only valid if full particulars are filled in by the distributor at the time of purchase and does not cover damage caused by misuse, or neglect or use of non-approved accessories. The Industry Canada Label identifies certified equipment. The department does not guarantee the equipment will operate to the users satisfaction. The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of connection. The customer should be aware that compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some situations. Repairs to certified equipment should be coordinated by a representative designated by the supplier. Any repairs or alterations made by the user to this equipment, or equipment malfunctions, may give the telecommunications company cause to request the user to disconnect the equipment. Users should ensure for their own protection that the electrical ground connections of the power utility, telephone lines and internal metallic water pipe system, if present, are connected together. This precaution may be particularly important in rural areas. Caution: Users should not attempt to make such connections themselves, but should contact the appropriate electric inspection authority, or electrician, as appropriate. NOTICE: The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) assigned to each terminal device provides an indication of the maximum number of terminals allowed to be connected to a telephone interface. The termination on an interface may consist of any combination of devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the Ringer Equivalence number of all the devices does not exceed 5. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request that you disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved. For repair/warranty information. The telephone company may ask you to disconnect this equipment from the line network until the problem has been corrected. This equipment cannot be used on public coin phone service provided by the telephone company. Connection to party line service is subject to state tariffs. Your telephone company may discontinue your service if your equipment causes harm to the telephone network. They will notify you in advance of disconnection, if possible. During notification, you will be informed of your right to file a complaint to the FCC. Occasionally, your telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operation, or procedures that could affect the operation of your equipment. If so, you will be given advance notice of the change to give you an opportunity to maintain uninterrupted service.
