Window behavior Minimizing To minimize the application, use the minimize button or the close button to minimize the application to the system tray. Closing To close the application, right click on the MailMania logo in the system tray and click Exit. 14 3.4 POP3 In computing, local e-mail clients use the Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3), an application-layer Internet standard protocol, to retrieve e-mail. Many subscribers to individual Internet service provider e-mail accounts access their e-mail with client software that uses POP3. The POP3 protocol is used by most ISPs because the messages are transferred to the computer of the user. In default mode your e-mail client (e.g. Outlook) will check your e-mail account and pull the mail message off the server and onto your computer. If MailMania checks after your e-mail client has checked the account it wont see the new e-mail and will not activate the led on the receiver. To prevent synchronization issues with your e-mail client you will need to configure your e-mail client to leave new e-mail messages on the server for one day. 15 3.5 Automatically starting MailMania If you want to automatically start up MailMania every time you turn on your computer, you need to add MailMania to your StartUp folder. After that place the cursor over the open StartUp submenu and release the mouse button. 3.6 Specifications
