Base Bee aweenye Installation Instructions Please note: Positioning the pushbutton or door chime on or near metal structures or reinforced PVC doors or doorframes will reduce the transmission range. Open the Extender as shown in Figure 1. eee . Remove the front cover by inserting a flat blade w screwdriver into the slot and twisting gently (A). Figure 1 Install the battery (Refer to Figure 2) 4 Position the front cover as shown and slide the CR 2032 Lithium battery into the as holder as shown, with the + side of the Figure2 battery facing you. Option 1: To Use With Existing Wired Door Chime and Doorbell Pushbutton (Refer to Figure 3) Cc Disconnect the power supply to your existing chime. Connect one end of wires to each of the terminal on the existing doorbell pushbutton. Route the other end of wires through wire entrance holes (B) in the base. Connect the wires to each screw terminal (C) on the Figure 3 eT Option 2: To Replace Existing Doorbell Pushbutton gue) With The Extender (Refer to Figure 3) Disconnect the power supply to your existing chime. Remove the existing doorbell push. Route the BELL wires through wire entrance holes in the base (B). Connect the wires to each screw terminal (C) on the Extender. Mount the Base and Install the Extender (Refer to Figure 3 & 4) Ensure the wall surface is flat, clean and dry. Mount the base using the screws and wall plugs provided (Figure 3). Do not mount the Extender on or near large metal objects as this can block signals from the wireless Extender. Hook the top of the pushbutton over the base as shown in Figure 4 and then press down at the base to snap in place. When the pushbutton is pressed, the confidence light (D) in Figure 4 will illuminate providing indication that it is working. Use of the Door Chime Plug the Plug-in Chime in any plug sockets within the house. The chime must be within transmission range of the Extender. Programming Extender (Refer to Figure 5) The Chime will play all of the tones that are available when itis first powered up. Press the Extender, the base will respond with a chime. This indicates that the extender has been programmed to the chime base. Reset the Chime Programming Press and hold button A and B until the chime sounds. The chime will play all of the chimes available indicating that previous programs have been erased. Return to the Programming Extender and repeat this section. Extender may be positioned out of range of the door chime. Move the Extender closer to the door chime. Note: During the programming cycle, the transmission range may be reduced and will resume after 5 minutes. A metallic object may be blocking the signal to the door chime from the Extender position. Experiment with the location of the door chime to see if you can move it to a more suitable place. Battery in the Extender may need replacing. The Extender LED will flash 5 times wen the battery needs replacing. See instruction for Installing the Battery. Note: In cold conditions, poor location or environment, operating at maximum range it is advisable to replace the battery more frequently (i.e. every 12-18 months) to maintain formance.
"Your Extender and chime haven't been programmed. Resct the automatic programming, of your chime and Extender by Pressing and holding down chime selection buttons A and B (Figure 5) for 5 seconds. The chime will sound all ofthe sounds available indicating the programming has been erased. Program the Extender following the installation instructions.
