DIGITAL SPREAD SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY The DT-1TR features digital Spread Spectrum Technology (DSST) which virtually eliminates noise and other interference while greatly increasing operating range. DSST uniformly spreads the signal over one of 20 independent frequency ranges, or channels, for maximum range and clarity. The Baseunit and Handset share a pre-assigned digital code which interfering signals do not have, so any Noise gets filtered out and the user enjoys reliable, crystal-clear sound quality.
SPREAD SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY ADVANTAGES Smart Channel Hopping - During operation, the DT-1TR constantly monitors the transmission for interference. If interference is detected, the phone automatically scans for and hops to the next clear channel. This hopping is instant and does not interrupt normal conversation. Maximum Security - The security code is changed every, selected from one of 2^24million different codes making interception virtually impossible. 3 Level Power Output - The DT-1TR constantly monitors the strength of the signal from the TRANSIMITTER to the DOCKING STATION, selecting one of three transmission power levels for maximum range and extended battery life. INSTALLATION HOW to Install the li-ion Battery 1. Remove the battery compartment cover of the transmitter by sliding it down. 2. Connect the battery plug along the slot into the transmitters battery connector. 3. Insert the Li-ion battery pack into the battery compartment by sliding it up. NOTE : The Li-ion battery must be fully charged at least 4 hours before initial use. Please refer to the Charging the Battery (Full Charge) section. POWER CONNECTION CAUTON : You must use a 120Volt AC/9-12Volt DC adaptor that delivers at least 300-500mA for charger. The plug must correctly fit the machines DC 12V jack. 1. Plug the AC Adaptor into a standard AC outlet. 2. Plug the adaptor plug into the DC 12V jack on the rear of the docking station. CHARGING THE BATTERY (FULL CHARGE) 1. Once the docking station has power connection, place the transmitter in its cradle on the docking station. 2. Leave the transmitter on the cradle for at least 4 hours for a full charge. NOTE : The Li-ion battery is continuously charged when the transmitter is on the cradle of the docking station. PREPARING FOR INITIAL USE 1. setting the Battery on transmitter. 2. Ensure that the Li-ion battery is installed and fully charged before initial use. 3. Check line and power connections. 4. Push the transmitter TALK button to confirm. If you do not get a lcd display, please refer to the Troubleshooting chart. OPERATION To Start a record (TALK MODE) 1. Press TALK button on the transmitter. The IN-USE indicator will light up solid when it finds a clear channel. 2. Check the recording indicator (after the recorder is working). To End a record (Standby Mode) If you picked up the transmitter from the docking station:
Since the DT-1TR features Auto-Standby, simply return the transmitter to the docking station to end the record. The DT-1TR will automatically go to standby mode. If you picked up the transmitter away from the docking station:
Press the TALK button to end the record if you were away from the docking station when you picked up the record. The DT-1TR will go to standby mode. TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMTPOM SOLUTION No recording sign Check for the line cord connectors at both endsthat they are pushed in firmly until they click.(docking & recorder) IF you had a power failure or had unplugged the docking station, replace the transmitter on the docking station for two to five seconds to reset the system. Check the Li-ion battery pack connection inside the battery compartment on the transmitter. The transmitter rechargeable Li-ion battery pack may need to be charged. Make sure the charging contacts on both the docking station and the transmitter are in contact during charging. The charging contacts may need to be cleaned with an alcohol-moistened cloth. The Li-ion battery pack may need to be discharged first before a full charge. Raise or reposition the antenna on the docking station. The transmitter rechargeable Li-ion battery pack may need charging. You may be out of normal operating range. Move closer to the docking station.
