Ingenix is an advanced media platform capable of Lightning fast processing, picture in picture or split screen information display, dual zone multimedia playback for rear seat entertainment, Bluetooth hands free calling and music playback, GPS navigation and much more. Many of the features of Ingenix have never been available for in car use until now. Ingenix was designed to anchor your vehicles entertainment system. Along with the convenience of GPS navigation and the safety of a rearview camera. Ingenix offers everything you need and desire. More to come READ BEFORE USE:

Please make certain that all persons using this In-dash system carefully read these precautions and the following instructions fully. Read this manual carefully before using this system components. They contain instructions on how to use this product in a safe and effective manner. This product is not a substitute for your personal judgment. Any route suggestions made by this navigation system may never supersede any local traffic regulations or your personal judgment and/or knowledge of safe driving practices. Do not follow route suggestions if the navigation system instructs you to perform an unsafe or illegal maneuver, places you in an unsafe situation, or routes you into an area which you consider unsafe. Glance at the screen only when necessary and safe to do so. If prolonged viewing of the screen is necessary, pull over in a safe and legal manner and location. Do not input destinations, change settings, or access any functions requiring a prolonged view of the monitor and/or remote control while you are driving. Not all locations of emergency services such as police and fire stations, hospitals and clinics are contained in the database. Please use your own judgment and ask for directions in these situations. The map database is designed to provide you with route suggestions and does not take into account the relative safety of a suggested route or of factors which may affect the time required to reach your destination. Use your own personal judgment if the navigation system is unable to provide you with an alternate route. There may be situations where the navigation system displays the vehicles location erroneously. Use your own driving judgment in this situation, taking into account current driving conditions. Please be aware that in this situation the navigation system should correct the vehicles position automatically. However, it is possible you may have to correct the position yourself. If this is the case, pull over in a safe and legal manner and location before attempting operation. Make certain that the volume level of the navigation system is set to a level which still allows you to hear outside traffic and emergency vehicles (see navigation operation page ???). Avoid exposing the LCD panel to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Extended exposure can result in premature failure due to temperature outside normal operation limits. +45C (+113F) and 0C (+32F) Cellular phone antennas should be kept a minimun of six inches from the LCD panel to prevent disruption of LCD video signals. This can cause colored strips, spots and other effects of this nature. To protect the LCD panel be certain to touch the panel with only your fingers. Do not use any rigid or metal objects as they can damage the panel. Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, dampen the cloth with water only. See the options below and contact your nearest Ingenix Authorized dealer for more information. Ipod interface cable IP-5C : this optional cable will allow direct control of your Ipod displaying both audio and video on your Ingenix Source unit. Reverse view camera: Your Ingenix source has connections for a reverse view camera. This dedicated connection will display an onscreen rearview whenever the vehicles reverse gear is engaged. Remote control: included with non OEM units. Optional only on OEM units. A remote control is available for you Ingenix source unit. The remote comes in very handy for control while driving as you do not need to take your eyes off the road enter commands. Starting to use Ingenix Ingenix is an advanced product. Take some time to read this manual and get familiar with your new Ingenix Multimedia source unit. While Ingenix is quite intuitive this manual will help you better understand the capabilities of Ingenix and get the most out of your purchase. More information about start up OPERATION:

Home Screen Day screen Night screen Text and better picture to replace above Access to source unit options The above picture displays the two main areas of the home menu. The lower section is the slider which can access any option of the radio with a simple swipe of your finger from left to right of right to left. To access the option it must be centered. Swipe the slider until you can see the option desired is in one of the five locations. If the desired option is not center simply touch the option and it will center. Once centered touch again to open the option. Creating you quick access links The second main area of the home screen of the quick access links in the upper section of the screen. Source options from the slider can be moved to the quick access links for quicker access to often used sources. A total of six source options can be placed in the quick access links. Follow steps below to add source options to the quick access links. The option from one section will always switch places. Ex. If Bluetooth music is moved from the slider to the quick access links whatever option the Bluetooth music source replaces will be moved to the slider where Bluetooth music was located. To move source options to quick access links swipe the slider with your finger either left or right to locate the desired source option. Once the option is visible in any of the five locations on the slider press and hold the option with your finger and slide it up to the quick access location desired. Repeat this with all six quick access links to create your list. This can be changed at anytime in the future following the same steps. Marquee banner The Marquee banner can be customized to display any statement. Touch the Marquee banner to access the keyboard. Type whatever statement you like then press enter. The Home screen will be displayed with your statement running across the Marquee. Pull down menu in Home Screen. Pull down menu At the very top of the almost every source you will notice a small icon pic needed. This icon will access the pull down menu. The options in the pull down menu differ slightly from one source to another. See the section of the desired source for more information. In this menu you can access six options. Need better icon images. These look bad and have different sizes. Home screen the Home screen icon will return the system to the home screen from whatever source is active. The Navi PIP button will open the Navigation source provided it has been started and the safety notice has been agreed to. Note: The Navi PIP button has a slightly different effect in different sources. see instructions on each source for more information. Brightness allows control over the brightness of the display. This icon also allows you to turn the screen off by pressing the ON button. Clock settings this icon will open the clock settings menu. Need screen shot of clock settings, not the same as the given manual. Info center as the unit does not display trip info icon image needed. the info center icon will display OEM information (OEM Ingenix only) including clock, multi disc changer, CD, AM/FM tuner information, and climate control information. Screen saver the screen saver icon will allow you to display the screen saver. Simply touch the screen in any location to return to the previous source. For aftermarket this section will have button by button layout for both the main unit and remote control. The OEM unit will have layout of factory controls. Navigation NAVI MENU on the unit to activate the navigation system. From navibox-1 with a few minor changes. Using Navigation

Volume down/up Bluetooth BLUETOOTH is a wireless technology allowing communication between a mobile device or personal computer over short distances. This enables a hands-free call between BLUETOOTH compatible devices. How to connect to a BLUETOOTH compatible device (Pairing) add screen shots for each step. Pairing sequence: Pair ->New device -> Product Name PIN code XXXX Entered to Bluetooth mode Press to begin pairing and select New Device Product brand name and PIN code will be displayed on the upper left side of the display screen. The system will remain visible to searching phones for 90 seconds. Select search for device from you mobile phones Bluetooth options. Note: wording and process may differ from one phone to another. See owners manual for your particular phone for more information on searching for Bluetooth devices. Follow instructions listed on your mobile device and enter the displayed PIN when prompted. You may need to set your phone to automatically connect to your Ingenix source unit for ease of use. This will allow your mobile device to auto connect each time the source unit is powered up providing the phone is within range. The phone will also auto disconnect each time the source unit is powered down. Note this may also be considered adding as a trusted device please consult your mobile device owners manual for more information. Using Bluetooth Phone Functions Making a call: calls can be made through the various methods listed below. The first option is simply call from your phone as you normally would. All sound will be heard through your source unit. Calls can be ended or started through either the phone or the onscreen display. The second option is on screen dialing. Use the keypad on the Ingenix touch screen to dial the desired phone number. Press send to begin the call. The third option is through phone book. Press the button on the display. This will access the phonebook stored on your phone and allow direct calling of contacts listed. Searching your phonebook through Ingenix On some mobile devices you may need to transfer contact data manually. This is sometimes called force or push. Consult you mobile devices operation manual for more information. Searching through contacts on your Ingenix source unit is rather simple. We need to decide on a letter search or just the slider. Pull down menu in Bluetooth Phone source While operating in the Bluetooth phone source the Navi PIP button will switch to full screen Navigation when selected. Note: the Navi PIP button will not switch back to Bluetooth Phone when pressed from the Navigation source. All other pull down buttons have standard function as listed in the page ???

Control Interface Pressing the Play button will begin playback of media stored on your mobile device Pressing the Pause button will pause playback. Press Pressing the Forward button will skip the current track and begin the next. Pressing the Reverse button will skip back to the beginning of the current track. If the track is fewer than three seconds into the song this button will skip to the previous track. Press the Stop button to stop music playback Pressing the Mute buton will mute the playback When muted the icon will change to Press the again to resume the volume level. Pressing the volume up or down will also resume the volume level. Press the Volume button to increase volume and the Volume button to decrease volume Volume level will be displayed between the volume up and down buttons. Pull down menu in Bluetooth Music source When the Bluetooth music source is started Ingenix will determine if Navigation is running. If Navigation is running the small Bluetooth music menu will display in the upper right hand side of the screen. This window will allow you to access the controls of your Bluetooth device without leaving the navigation screen. Pressing the down arrow on the menu will enlarge the window and display full control over Bluetooth music functions. The PIP button in the small Bluetooth menu will run Bluetooth music in full screen. While in the Bluetooth music screen the Navi PIP button will switch between the Bluetooth music and navigation sources. Pressing the PIP button on the lower section of the Bluetooth music source will switch to Navigation and display the small Bluetooth music menu in the upper right hand side. AM & FM Tuner controls To come after testing SD/ USB playback controls Playback of audio files stored in USB, SD, or Hard drive. Music Player Main control interface This section will help you get the most out of your Ingenix source units media playback. Take some time to familiarize yourself with buttons located on the main control interface.. While the interface is quite intuitive it may take some time to understand all the options available at your fingertips. The main control interface is located on the bottom half of the screen. Pressing the large center button will pause playback and change the button to

The playback button has three steps Repeat all will repeat all tracks Repeat will repeat the current track Random will randomly select tracks from your playlist to playback Pressing the file manager button will access the file manager. see the section labeled Creating and accessing a playlist on page Press the playlist button to access your current playlist. In this menu you can directly skip to a song in your playlist for playback. Touch the up or down buttons to move through your playlist. You can also touch the slider to move through your playlist faster. Press the X on the upper right side to exit the playlist. Lined section with description below for each button Creating and accessing a playlist To create a playlist for listen you must first access the files you wish to add. Come back to this after testing To save music to a playlist all songs must be in the same folder Files can be moved to different folders to allow for larger playlists. Equalizer The EQ icon will access the equalizer options. There are ten Equalizer presets as well as two user presets Press any desired Equalizer preset to adjust the different sound options. When finished press the X on the top right of the equalizer window to return to the music player. Equalizer user presets User presets can be set at any desired levels and will automatically save for future use. To set a user preset first select either User 1 or User 2 then adjust the equalizer band by pressing the level you desire. To increase the frequency press a higher point to decrease press a lower point. When finished press the X on the top right of the equalizer window to return to the music player. Main display The main display shows information about the media you are listening to. Song title and track number will be displayed at the top of the screen. Album art will be displayed in the center of the screen for the current, previous, and next track. Time status bar is located at the bottom of the main window. Time played will be displayed on the left and total track time is displayed on the right. Pressing the time status bar will allow for skipping to any point on the track. Secondary display The display at the bottom center of the screen can display one of two options at a time. Either the spectrum analyzer or file captions can be displayed. Spectrum analyzer will display a graph showing frequency responses from the music playing. Lower frequencies are to the left while higher frequencies are to the right. The Caption option is the second option which will display text information from the file currently playing if the file contains supported information. Ex: song title, artist etc. Display options to access display options. It is possible to change the colors of both the spectrum analyzer and the Text of Captions. Press the The spectrum analyzer has three color options. Blue, Violet, and emerald. Caption text has five color options. Yellow, Blue, Red, Black, and White. Touch the button with current color list to cycle through the other color options. Pull down menu in the Music player source When the Music player source is started Ingenix will determine if Navigation is running. If Navigation is running the small Music palyer menu will display in the upper right hand side of the screen. This window will allow you to access the controls of your SD,USB, or hard drive device without leaving the navigation screen. Pressing the down arrow on the menu will enlarge the window and display full control over the Music Player functions. The PIP button in the small Music Player menu will run Music Player in full screen. While in the Music Player screen the Navi PIP button will switch between the Music Player and navigation sources. Pressing the PIP button on the lower section of the Music Player source will switch to Navigation and display the small Music Player menu in the upper right hand side. Set up should be labeled Settings Set up will allow the user to access Ingenix system settings. Main screen There are five tabs to the set up screen. Display, Brightness, Screen Saver, Sound, and software Display:

Start-up Mode the display tab allows the user to choose which screen is loaded during system start up. If Last is selected the last source that was running will be loaded at system start up Driving Alert Selecting driving Alert to on will enable ?????

MENU deleted Touch Screen Calibration Press Start to begin touch screen calibration need screen shots Press and hold the + mark on the screen for a brief moment As the mark moves around the screen continue to press and hold briefly until the screen reads New calibration settings have been measured Touch screen calibration is now complete. Rear Monitor Set up Press the Rear Monitor Set up button to begin set up. The Rear monitor menu allows the user to change position and size of the image on the external monitor if needed. Position will allow the user to move the image to a different location on the external monitor. Press the up, down, left, and right arrow to move the image to the desired location. Size will allow the user to change the shape and size of the image. Press the + or buttons at the upper or lower part of the interface to increase or decrease the height of the image Press the + or buttons on the left or right of the of the interface to increase or decrease the width of the image. Language Press the Language button to switch between English or Spanish. Brightness:

Automatic Dimmer The Automatic Dimmer tab allows the user to set times for the brightness to change. Select the time you wish the dimmer to adjust in the upper location Select the brightness of the screen adjustment in the location directly below the time The first setting will affect the brightness in the morning and should be set to approximately the same time as sunrise. the second setting will affect the dimmer in the evening and should be set to approximately the same time as sunset. The On/Off button to the right allows the user to defeat the Automatic dimmer feature. Manual The manual setting allows the user to select the desired brightness at any time. Press the left arrow to dim the screen and the right arrow to increase brightness. Save and Reset After changes are made you must save to have the changes take effect. Reset allows the user to bring all Brightness settings back to factory default. Screen Saver:

The screen saver tab allows the user to select the image or function to be displayed during screen saver operation. Use the up and down buttons to move through store pictures and functions to locate your desire saver. You can also use the slider to move through pictures more quickly if needed. Save and Reset After changes are made you must save to have the changes take effect. Reset allows the user to bring all Brightness settings back to factory default. Sound: need screen shot Volume Press the + to increase volume and to decrease volume. You can also directly touch the point of the volume bar you wish to set volume for faster response. FMT Function deleted FMT allows for use with external radio tuners. See your authorized Ingenix dealer for more information on how this feature will function with your radio. This option should not be present on Honda unit. Keep hidden or replace with EQ controls Save and Reset After changes are made you must save to have the changes take effect. Reset allows the user to bring all Brightness settings back to factory default. Software The software tab displays the software version currently installed. Software upgrades should only be installed by an Ingenix authorized dealer

Reset The reset button resets all of the software to original factory settings. AV IN Selects rear camera or AV unit to connect. Photo Allows user to display images and set wallpaper Photo Viewer controls Selecting photos When the photo viewer first started Ingenix will ask you select photos you would like to see. First select where the photos are located. Press one of three tabs on the left. SD for SD cards, HDD for hard drive. Or USB for USB memory stick sometimes called thumb drive Select the folder the desired photos are located in Note: folders may be inside of other folders Once a photo is selected all photos in the same folder will be accessible through the main control panel. Main control panel The left and right and right arrows will move forward and back through all images in the current selected folder. Screen saver The screen saver button will save the current selected image to the Ingenix Screen saver. Zoom feature The and + buttons will allow the user to zoom in and out of the current selected image. While zoomed, touching the image will center the image at the location touched. Pressing reset will reframe the image back to the original location and size. Pressing the fade out option will render new images during slideshow from center toward the top and bottom. Save Cancel and Reset After changes are made you must save to have the changes take effect. Cancel will disregard changes currently made to slideshow settings. Reset allows the user to bring all slideshow settings back to factory default. Image display Window The image display window will show an example of your slideshow including settings that have been made. Press the image display window to enlarge the slideshow to full screen. Touching the screen while in full screen mode will return the user to the Main control Panel. Games, Biorhythm check, World clock, Calculator, and Scheduler Utility Utility options Inside the utility source you will find six programs The utility source is a list of programs. Texas Holdem, Biorhythm check, World clock, Scheduler, Car Organizer, and Calculator To select the program you would like to open touch either the left and right arrows or the icons in the lower option bar. Once selected touch either the main display window or Execute to begin the program. While highlighted in the main display window program options will be available. Execute will begin the program. Registration information will display program information including title, version, producer, and file size. Registration information will also allow the user to initialize the program Update will allow the user to update the program. initialization will reset any saved data on the program. Texas Holdem style poker game Biorhythm Biorhythm is an attempt to predict various aspects of a person's life through simple mathematical cycles. According to believers in biorhythms, a person's life is affected by rhythmic biological cycles which affect one's ability in various domains, such as mental, physical, and emotional activity. These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a steady sine wave fashion throughout life; thus, by modeling them mathematically, a person's level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day. To begin tuning your biorhythm by selecting one of the five user presets. Enter the your year, month, then day of birth. After birth date is entered press Enter to save information to that user location. Press OK to display Biorhythm information. The arrow keys at the top of the screen will move forward or back through the calander and display your biorhythm at different dates. The key will move by year, the key will move by month. And the key will move by day. Pressing User Select will return to the user selection screen. Pressing Monthly Biorhythm will display your biorhythm sine wave. Calculator The calculator program is a standard calculator Car Organizer The Car Organizer will allow the user to enter vehicle records in the calendar. First select a date. The arrow key will move through months The arrow key will move through years Lastly select the day you wish to enter information. Press the Enter Contents key You will have four options in which to enter information The four options are Payment status, Repair status, Tax related, and Option status Each option will have sub categories. Select the sub category that applies to the information to be entered. Press OK to select the sub category. A data table or tables will be displayed. Enter the data and select OK Data will be entered to the organizer and the daily information screen will be displayed. Press OK again to return to the monthly display. View list will display the daily information screen. View Graph will display the annual graph. To exit Car Organizer at any time press the X in the upper right corner. Need screen shots Scheduler The Scheduler allows the user to enter their daily schedule and future appointments. First select a date. The arrow key will move through months The arrow key will move through years Lastly select the day you wish to enter information. Press the Enter Schedule key The enter schedule menu has five sections to customize your appointment information. Importance allows the user to label the appointment with four levels of importance labeled A,B,C, and D. Classification allows the user to label the type of appointment in one of three groups labeled Work, Individual, and Miscellaneous. Date allows the user to change the date of the appointment. Time allows the user to select a start time and end time of the appointment. Note: after highlighting the time press again to select that time. Content allows the user to enter text information regarding the appointment. After entering the desired information press OK to save or Cancel to disregard. After pressing OK or Cancel the daily information screen will be displayed. In the daily information screen you can modify current appointments, delete current appointments, or add new appointments. Pressing OK will return to the monthly information screen. While viewing the monthly information screen the return arrow key will return the user to the current date. While viewing the monthly information screen the View Schedule button will access the currently selected daily information screen. World Clock The world clock program allows the user to see the current time in twenty five different cities around the world. Four cities can be saved into the main screen. To change one of the listed cities press the Flag button for the city to be replaced. The full list of available cities will be displayed press the desired city to replace the previously selected city. Pressing the location on the map will display that cities current time in the top location. Need more user screen shots. File manager Managing files To begin managing files first select the location of the files. Select form the three storage devices available. SD for SD cards, HDD for hard drive. Note: folders may be inside of other folders All file types will be displayed unless the user selects a specific file type. To select a specific file type press the Video, Music, or Photo buttons on the bottom of the screen. Files will be tagged with the following images indicating the media type. Video file Music file When selected only files of that type in the selected folder will be displayed. To deselect the specific file type press the currently selected button again. Once the desired files are visible the user has the option of selecting files one by one or all the Image file files available. To select files one by one touch the file name. When selected the file name will be highlighted. To deselect the file press the highlight file name. Pressing Select all on the bottom left of the screen will select all files available in the currently selected folder. Once the desired files have been selected the user has the option of opening the file/files, moving them to a different location, or deleting the selected file/files. To open the selected file/files press the play button. To delete the selected file/files press the delete button To move the file/files press the After selecting the move option Moving selected file will be displayed. The move button will change to paste Select the location you would like to move the file/files to using the USB,HDD, or SD tabs on the move button. left and the folders inside each storage device. Pressing the Sub title list sub title button will shift though sub title options. Pressing the source button will test Pressing the picture in picture button will access the GPS navigation. If GPS navigation is currently running the DVD playback will appear in the upper right side of the screen while GPS information will be displayed in the remainder of the screen. Glossary Troubleshooting In Case of Difficulty If you encounter a problem, please turn the power off, then on again. If the unit is still not functioning normally, please review the items in the following checklist. This guide will help you isolate the problem if the unit is at fault. Basic No function or display. ACC on a vehicle, please make sure it is. Make sure the Multi box is switched on. No sound or unnatural sound. Car audio is muted the sound does not come out. Check the AUX cable connection is normal. Screen not displayed. Brightness control is set at the minimum position.

-Adjust the Brightness control. Temperature in the vehicle is too low.

-Increase the vehicles interior temperature to operation temperature range. The remote control is inoperative. Are there any cabling problem?

Check the batteries of the remote control. The vehicles position is erroneous. The GPS reception is poor.

-Drive the vehicle in an area of good GPS reception to allow the unit to recalibrate itself. Move to a location where strong GPS reception is possible.
