Use of mobile phones If an App (application) is being used on a mobile phone to monitor a system on the vehicle while it is motion:
1. Mount the phone securely in a holder such that:
it does not obscure the view of the road. it does not restrict access to any vehicle controls. it does not obscure the view of any instruments or mirrors. it can be easily reached from the normal driving position. 2. Before driving ensure that the display on the phone is set to the desired screen. Use of reversing camera When using the iTAP Reversing Camera it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle at all times 5 iTAP is a means of providing wireless control of certain features of the Bendix TABS-6 Advanced MC brake system on trailers.
>> iTAP User Manual INTRODUCTION The iTAP ECU is mounted on the trailer chassis and connected physically to the TABS-6 Advanced MC Brake Module. The iTAP ECU provides the interface for wireless communication with a device having the iTAP App (application software) installed on it. The iTAP App can be installed on suitable iPhones, iPads, iPods* or SmartPhones and Tablets using the Android#operating system. The software in the TABS-6 Advanced MC Brake Module is individually configured for each trailer using the Diagnostic Software program ACOM. Firstly ensure that the device is using the operating system iOS9* or higher and you have an iTunes* account. On the device select App Store to access the Apple* applications store. In the search window at the top of the screen enter iTAP Bendix then press the Enter button. The Bendix iTAP application should appear with the iTAP icon. Select this. The iTAP page will appear giving basic information about the App. Press the Download button and, although the App is free, you will be asked to enter your iTunes account details. This will facilitate replacing App should it become deleted. Once the App is downloaded the iTAP icon should appear in your Apps list.
