Quick Setup Guide Whats in the box Open your new KSN guardian by first breaking the seal and lifting the front flap. You can then lift out the unit from the packaging. In the box, you will find the following items. 1 x KSN Wifi Router 2 x Wifi Antennas 1 x Multi Voltage plug pack and plug adaptor 1 x Quick Setup guide Quick setup The first thing to do is take everything out of the box and check its all there. If something is missing, please let us know at support@kidssafetynet.com and we will sort it out. The first thing you need to do it to attach the two wifi antennas to the back of the box. They both screw on to the gold connectors on the back to the unit. Screw them up firm but do not over tighten them. Once they are fitted, you can rotate them to orientate the antenna for best performance but more on that later. The next step is to put the power plug clip onto the power supply. This will slide on and make a firm click when it is on properly. Connecting it to your internet The next step is to install the unit and connect it to your current wifi router or modem. The first thing to do is to find a place to put the unit. It should be located near you existing internet box close enough for the cable to reach. Even though the KSN-100 runs very cool, it should not be placed under anything or tucked in the back of a cupboard. The antennas should also be clear of walls and cables to make sure you get the best wifi coverage. Using the supplied network cable, first plug it into the network socket on the back of the KSN-100. The other end plugs into a spare port on the back of your existing Wifi Router or modem. The spare sockets are generally numbered from 1 to 4. Dont unplug and existing cables, just use an empty one. The next step is to plug the plug pack in and switch on the KSN-
100. When first turned on, both of the orange lights on the front panel will illuminate. When the unit is running, the left hand light will flash if there is a problem with your setup. Dont turn the unit on just yet. First you need to log in to our web portal at:

To configure your KSN Guardian, select the customer option, click on My Guardians and the guardian control panel will appear. Here you can set up the age limits for you service, set on and off times and many other things. Just follow the onscreen instructions. Switch on!
After your account is set up and your KSN Guardian is configured, its time to switch on. Switch the unit by switching on the power pack and then switch on the KSN Guardian at the power switch on the rear of the unit. Both lights on the front panel should light up and the unit will start to boot up. During boot the left hand light may blink but once the unit is ready, the left hand light will stay off. You should now have a new WiFi service available called KidsSafetyNet or whatever name you chose during the previous setup procedure. You can now connect your childrens devices to this new WiFi service. The first step when doing this is to make sure you forget your main wifi service on each device. This is to stop your children from accessing your unfiltered connection. Details on how to do this vary from device to device so please consult the user manual if required. And thats all there is to it. Your children can now access safe filtered internet on all their devices. Note:
