After removing the protective film from the double-sided adhesive tape, preserve the tape so that it doesn't get dirty. If touching the tape with a hand or foreign materials get on it, its adhesive strength can be significantly deteriorated. 2. The adhesive tape will have full adhesive strength after the 24 hours from its placement. Please do not use the products right after its placement. 1. How to install and connect S Pen & Camera Launch Kit to the smartphone If the Samsung Retail Mode is not installed on Note8, download and install the Note8 Retail mode package through PVI or retailsamsung.com. Without Samsung Retail Mode, normal Kit setting is unavailable. 1 Click Internet on the smartphone that you are going to connect to the kit( a ) and access retailsamsung.com. (To access with Internet, the Wifi is connected.) Search for S pen on the website. a 2 Select, download and install [Global] Galaxy Note8 S pen - Camera Kit Experience app Patch. 3 Using the screwdriver( i ), remove the screw holding the button cover on the bottom surface of the Kit( a ).
Take care not to lose the disconnected screw. a i a i Turn counter-clockwise Button cover Button cover 5 Connect the exclusive adaptor connector( h ) for the Kit to the the power terminal on the bottom surface of the Kit( a ) and organize the cable along the the cable guide as shown in the figure. Connect the exclusive adaptor( h ) for the Kit to an electric outlet. Please use the supplied power adaptor in this package. Otherwise, the device may damaged. a h h h Make sure that the adaptor be push and inserted completlely into power outlet. Power Terminal h h b Electric outlet 7 Enable the Bluetooth and NFC (basic mode) function on the smartphone. Place the smartphone on top of NFC chip of No. 1 (S Pen) button for tagging as shown in the figure below. Both of the two buttons will be connected by a single NFC tagging. 4 6 8 1 2 Connect all buttons( e ) to the connector inside the Kit( a ) where the button cover has been removed. a e e e e Open the switch cover on the back of Kit( a ) and check whether the switch is ON. If it is in OFF position, change its position to ON. a Switch cover Switch ON After tagging, press 'Yes' when the NFC connection confirmation message window appears. When the device is connected normally, NFC is detected, Pairing Succeed(Button1), Pairing Succeed(Button2) and Service is launched will appear and then disappear on the screen in sequential order. 3 4 It may be different from the actual image of the phone. NFC chip 9 Execute Button Launcher by touching it and check whether pairing has been completed normally. is displayed when pairing with the smart button has been completed normally. 10 Align the position of 1(S Pen) and 2(Camera) inside the Kit( a ) with the position of button as shown in the figure and insert them so that the certification label is shown at the top. Check the number on the label for installation to ensure that you do not change the button position. 3 Insert the button cover and assemble it again using the screw separated from and the screw driver( i ). i a e a 12 e Button cover i Turn clockwise If you press the S PEN button, please check Live Message Experience video is played. 11 When the button is pressed for the first time, the full screen guide information is displayed, this will be closed when you swipe up or press the NEXT and OK buttons. 13 Check whether the Optical 2x Zoom introduction video is played back when the Camera button is pressed an odd number of times and if Live Focus introduction video is played back when the Camera button is pressed an even number of times. 14 Remove the protective film from all double-sided adhesive tapes at the bottom a surface of the Kit( a ). 15 Put the price tag in the price tag groove on the first page of the Flip Book and cover the price tag window( ) to the groove. The price tag is not included in this package. Please print the price tag locally and put it on tag groove. Remove the price tag in the same way. m6 g m6 m6 g When replace the display smartphone 1. Turn off the Kit and the control box. 2. Remove the charging & security cable connector previously connected to the smartphone and turn off the smartphone.
(Refer to the back page of this manual for information on how to separate the connector.) 3. Install a new smartphone by following the instructions in this manual. Media file does not exist message This error message is displayed when a video file for operating contents does not exist in the device. Confirm that video files are normally distributed to the relevant device through RMS. 2. How to Assemble and Install the Device The manual is described and prepared with Kumoh's Recoiler Charging & Securty connetor installation method. For Invue security installation, please refer to Invue's connector installation manual separately supplied. 1 Pull the connector to a length that will allow you to connect the charging & security cable connector( ). c c 2 Release the back screw of charging & security cable connector( ) with supplied screw driver( ), and connected the connector( ) with smartphone. c c i c Turn counter-clockwise i Take care not to lose the disconnected screw. c Adjust the surface where the connector( ) is attached to make it horizontal as shown in the figure, and then press it so the whole surface is attached evenly. c O When connector( c ) installation is complete, remove the winding prevention sheet by spreading it in the opposite directions and mount the device on the mounting groove. c 3 Remove the protective film from the double sided adhesive tape of connector. Rotate the back of the universal sensor cable connector( ) to make it horizontal with the smartphone. c 4 c Remove the protective film a c After attaching the connector( ), press and hold the whole attached surface evenly and firmly for more than 30 seconds to attach it. Reassemble the screw which is released during assemble process with supplied screw driver( ). c 6i 2 PRESS IT EVENLY 30 SECONDS MORE!
Turn clockwise c c 5 7 8 c c i Remove the winding prevention sheet Before installing the security wire for S-Pen, assemble the S-Pen by extruding the S-Pen head as shown in the figure. Place the head of the S-Pen into the groove on the bottom plate of the security lid( ). Insert it in such a way that the surface with no SAMSUNG logo becomes the top side, as shown in the figure. Align the security holder( ) with the locking clip insertion hole of the combined security lid, and assemble the security holder( ). Mount it in the way that the SAMSUNG logo of S-Pen is shown in front. Combined security lid f4 3 Completed assembled Security wire 10 Connect the charging & security cable connector( ) to USB port on the control box, and turn ON the control box. In case of SES/SIS Preview Kit, connect all 2 charging & security cable connectors. After turning ON the control box, check if LED of the control box is ON. b Turn ON the switch. LED S-Pen mounting hole Control box b How to separate the charging & security cable and S-Pen security wire Before separating the charging & security cable, make sure to turn OFF the control box. 1 Turn OFF the control box, separate the security cable( ) and loosen the screw assembled to the charging & security cable connector( ). In case of SES/SIS Preview Kit, separate all 2 charging & security cable connectors. If you separate the cable( ) without turning off the control box, an alarm will sound. 2 b b c Detach the bonded part at the back of connector( ) using a remover( ), and separate the connector. Since the remover head is sharp, make sure to wear gloves and use it carefully. m5 c Turn OFF the switch. 1 Turn counter-clockwise 3 1 m5 2 c 3 Control box 2 b c i Take care not to lose the disconnected screw. 3 Separate the locking clip( ) by using a gimlet. The gimlet or the pointed tool is not included in this package. f4 4 Take the product apart in the reverse order of its assembly.
