Use the power-saving mode or a dynamic screen saver or power off the product to prevent afterimage burn. Afterimage burn should not occur through normal operation. Normal operation refers to continuously changing images on the screen. Stationary images for an extended period of time can cause a slight voltage difference between electrodes in pixels that control liquid crystals. Such voltage differences can increase over time and the liquid crystals become thinner. As a result, an image can remain on the screen when the pattern changes. However, afterimage burn-in should not occur when the above mentioned precautionary steps are taken.
