The device is intended to provide ambient lighting in bathtubs or swimming pools, and is not suited to illuminate rooms in your household . tions from the packaging . Remove all packaging material . The following components are included in the delivery (see foldout page for illustrations):

If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the customer service hotline (see section 3 year limited warranty). US-EN17 SLBP 5 A1 Charging the internal battery Before using the speaker, the internal battery must be fully charged. Charge the devices internal battery only in dry indoor areas . Due to high power consumption, a USB power supply must be used to charge the device . Do not charge the device on a desktop computer or laptop USB port . Only use the supplied USB charging cable e to charge the Disconnect the USB charging cable e when charging is integrated battery . complete . Make sure that the speaker is turned off . To turn the speaker off, press and hold the 2 seconds . button q for approx . Connect the type A USB plug of the USB charging cable e to a connected USB power supply (5 V, min . 950 mA) . 18US-EN SLBP 5 A1 Remove the protective cover 3 from the speaker to reach the USB-C charging socket DC 5V 2 . Pull the protective cover 3 off the device and slide it to the side . Connect the USB-C plug of the USB charging cable e to the USB-C charging socket DC 5V 2 on the speaker . LED 1 0 lights up orange during charging. When the battery is fully charged, LED 1 0 turns off. Charging takes about 5 hours at a charging current of 950 mA. When the battery is fully charged, you can play back music at medium volume (50%) for up to 16 hours. The playback time may vary depending on use (volume/
lighting). The battery can also be charged during operation (music playback/lighting). However, charging takes longer in this case. When the battery is empty, you will hear a beep every 10 seconds and LED 1 0 will flash orange once. When the battery is too weak, the speaker will turn off automatically. US-EN19 SLBP 5 A1 Handling and operation The speaker floats and can be used in bathtubs or swim-
ming pools floating on the surface of the water. Place the device on the surface of the water so that only the light w is in the water. When you use the speaker in water, make sure that the top part of the device is not submerged in the water . Longer or repeat periods of submersion can damage the device . Turning the speaker on/off Press and hold the button q for approx . 2 seconds to turn the speaker on and enable the Bluetooth func-
tion . You will hear a beep and LED 1 0 will flash orange twice . LED 1 0 will then flash alternating between blue and orange . The speaker is now in pairing mode . Press and hold the button q for approx . 2 seconds again to turn the speaker off and disable the Bluetooth function . You will hear a beep and LED 1 0 will flash orange twice . 20US-EN SLBP 5 A1 Pairing the speaker with a Bluetooth device Before you can use the speaker to play music via Bluetooth, you must pair it with a Bluetooth compati-
ble playback device . Press and hold the button q for approx . 2 seconds to turn the speaker on and enable the Bluetooth func-
tion . You will hear a beep and LED 1 0 will flash orange twice . LED 1 0 will then flash alternating between blue and orange . Set the Bluetooth playback device so that it scans for Bluetooth devices . A detailed description of how to do this can be found in the operating instructions of your Bluetooth playback device . Select the entry SLBP 5 A1 from the list of devices found on your Bluetooth playback device and, if prompt-
ed, enter the code 0000 to pair the two devices . The Bluetooth playback device is now automatically connected to the speaker via Bluetooth . If pairing is successful, you will hear a beep and LED 1 0 will flash blue once every 3 seconds . US-EN21 SLBP 5 A1 To terminate the Bluetooth connection, either disable the Blue tooth function on the Bluetooth playback device or briefly press the Bluetooth pairing button You will hear a beep and LED 1 0 will flash alternating between blue and orange . The speaker is now in pairing mode again . 4 . Alternatively, turn the speaker off as described above to disable the Bluetooth function . The next time you turn on the speaker, it will automatically connect to the last Bluetooth playback device that was connected. If your Bluetooth playback device does not automatically reconnect to the speaker, you will have to re-establish the connection manually. A detailed description of how to do this can be found in the operating instructions of your Bluetooth playback device. 22US-EN SLBP 5 A1 If no Bluetooth connection can be established with the last Bluetooth playback device that was connect-
ed within 3 minutes, the pairing attempt stops and the speaker returns to pairing mode. After 3 minutes, LED 1 0 switches from fast blue flashing to flashing alternating between blue and orange. If no Bluetooth connection can be established within 10 minutes, pairing mode ends and the speaker turns off automatically. If no tracks are played within 10 minutes, the device turns off automatically. Ensure that the speaker is no more than 10 meters (10.9 yards) away from the Bluetooth playback device. Make sure that no barriers or electronic devices are placed between them. Press again/repeatedly to change or turn off the LED lighting (see also the section LED lighting) . Press briefly to turn on the TWS function . Press again briefly to turn off the TWS function . Press briefly to unpair the external play-
back device currently connected via Bluetooth from the speaker (only with active Bluetooth connection) . The speaker is now in pairing mode again and can be paired with a Bluetooth playback device again . US-EN25 SLBP 5 A1 Depending on the Bluetooth playback device used and its operating system, it may be possible that the volume on the speaker and on the Bluetooth play-
back device are set independently from one another. For example, if the volume of the speaker is set to maximum and the volume of the Bluetooth playback device is set to minimum, you will not hear anything coming from the speaker. Depending on the Bluetooth playback device used and its operating system, it may be possible that not all functions are supported. The most recently selected volume setting is saved and applied the next time the speaker is turned on. 26US-EN SLBP 5 A1 TWS function The TWS function (True Wireless Stereo) allows two speak-
ers to be paired . The left speaker is the main speaker connected to a Bluetooth playback device . This speaker transmits the au-
dio signals received from the Bluetooth playback device to the right speaker . With a second speaker of the same type SLBP 5 A1
(IAN 397052_2107), you can turn on the TWS function to pair the two speakers and use them as a stereo speaker system . A second speaker can be purchased at If it is unavailable, you can alternatively purchase another speaker from www.kompernass.com . Turning on TWS mode If you turn on TWS mode, no Bluetooth connection between a speaker and a Bluetooth playback device may be established. Make sure to place the left and right speakers as close together as possible for pairing in TWS mode. US-EN27 SLBP 5 A1 Turn both speakers on . Briefly press the TWS button 6 on the first speaker, which will act as the left speaker . LED 2 5 flashes green during pairing . Once both speakers have been paired successfully, you will hear a beep . LED 2 5 on the left speaker lights up green and LED 2 5 on the right speaker flashes green . Pair the left speaker with a Bluetooth playback device . Start playing a track on the Bluetooth playback device . If you do not pair the two speakers within 3 minutes, TWS mode is ended on the left speaker. In this case, you will button 6 on the left speaker have to press the TWS again before starting pairing again. Make sure to position the left and right speakers correctly for playback in TWS mode. In TWS mode, the play/pause/next/previous/volume/LED lighting buttons work on both speakers. 28US-EN SLBP 5 A1 Turning off TWS mode Briefly press the TWS button 6 on the left or right speaker to turn off TWS mode . You will hear a beep and LED 2 5 will turn off on both speakers . Playback will continue on the left speaker during operation . Briefly press the TWS button 6 on the left or right speaker to turn on TWS mode again. LED lighting The LED light is not suited to illuminate rooms in your household!

ble playback device, proceed as follows:
Possible cause The Bluetooth func-
tion is disabled on the Bluetooth playback device . The speaker is more than 10 meters (10 .9 yards) away from the Bluetooth playback device or there are bar-
riers or other electronic devices between them . The speaker is not turned on . Solution Enable the Bluetooth function on the Bluetooth playback device . Decrease the distance between the speaker and the Bluetooth playback device . Make sure that there are no barriers or other electronic devices that could be interfering with the connection . Turn the speaker on . US-EN31 SLBP 5 A1 The following table helps identify and solve other potential problems:
