DOCKING MASTER IS A WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEMS USED IN MANEUVERING BOATS WHEN DOCKING, ANCHORING OR MOORING. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROPER KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OPERATION CONTROLLING A YACHT WHEN PERFORMING THESE PROCEDURES. Page 3 PRELIMINARY DRAFT Introduction 1. Docking Master, developed by Marine Automation Systems Corp., is an electronic wireless remote control which enables you to control a boat and its basic maneuvering and mooring functions. Severe and rugged tests conducted in various types of vessels have proven the resistance and reliability of Docking Master in marine environment. With Docking Master, maneuvering of your boat, controlling the bow thruster, stern thruster, both engines, multiple anchors or winches is as easy as pressing buttons. This equipment is electronically safe, it is linked in parallel with the existing controls, allowing uninterrupted full manual control should the need arise. In the rare event that communication between Docking Masters transmitter and receiver fails, an acoustic signal informs the user immediately about the need of manual control of the boat. 2. General transmitter features The transmission unit is similar to a remote control with two control buttons. Every transmitter has a unique code. Docking Master is housed in a grey ABS casing that is waterproof and water resistant providing form, fit, function and protection. The control is made of two parts that snap together. The lower cover is removable to replace batteries. The unit is also equipped with two luminous LED indicators, a yellow light shows transmission and a red light indicated batteries replacement. Page 4 PRELIMINARY DRAFT 3. Docking Master operation The Relays on the receiver are activated by the buttons placed on the transmitter. It cyclically transfers position status of the switches to the receiver. The command will remain active as long as it is pressed. In the event of communication failure between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver will automatically place the engines in neutral and activate the acoustic signal. IMPORTANT:
It is not possible to simultaneously command the same receiver from several transmitters. Warnings Docking Master should only be used by qualified adults to ensure the proper operation and management of the boat. Docking Master must be kept away from the reach of children. Never use the transmitter if you are not on the vessel you are commanding, if this occurs product warranty will be immediately void and there can be serious legal implications. Activation procedure 4. Follow step by step this procedure in order to activate Docking Master:

The transmitter will turn OFF automatically approximately five minutes from the last pressing switch. IMPORTANT:
The receiver will generate a high audible sound (ALARM) if communication was interrupted. This signal should stop after the link is re-established. 5. Deactivation procedure To deactivate follow this procedure:
Turn transmitter OFF by pressing the proper button for at least 3 second. At this point transmission light should turn off (yellow) and the alarm signal will start because a break of communication between transmitter and receiver. Deactivate the receiver by pressing appropriate ON/OFF switch installed on the boat. IMPORTANT:
In case of emergency you can deactivate Docking Master receiver by simply turning off the receiver ON/OFF switch without turning the transmitter OFF. Page 7 PRELIMINARY DRAFT 6. Maintenance 6.1. Replacement of batteries When the batteries are discharged the RED light will flash. Replace both transmitter batteries as soon as possible. Always keep aboard two first quality AAA alkaline batteries. IMPORTANT:
Before working on the transmitter, make sure the receiver is OFF. Accidental pressing on a transmitter switch can activate an unwanted boat function and will result in a dangerous situation. To access the battery, remove the six screws that keep the lower and top cover together Page 8 PRELIMINARY DRAFT Once the cover is off, remove the old batteries and replace them with new ones. IMPORTANT:
Be sure to properly insert the batterys right polarity in the transmitter. Check the white markings on the board (+ / - ) 6.2. How to clean the transmitter After using Docking Master, remove any salt residue by wiping it with a soft cloth using fresh water. Docking Master system has 12 months warranty from date of purchase. This warranty is extended only to the original owner. A receipt or other proof of purchase will be required before warranty performance is rendered. This warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship, manufacturing defects, or malfunction of device not caused by user. This warranty explicitly does not cover malfunction due to poor maintenance, improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, modification or natural events. Such warranties are the sole warranties, expressed or implied pertaining to this order. It is understood and agreed that no warranties expressed or implied, are made by seller/dealer including implied warranties of MERCHANTABILITY and FITNESS FOR USE.
