Digital signal and power are provided to the Transmitter on the matching cable. Set Up Overview 1. Professional Installation Only 2. Select the best location for your Transmitter and Receiver 3. Connect the Transmitter to the scrambled digital audio source 4. Connect the Receiver to digital audio decoder 5. Turn the system on 6. Adjust the position of the Transmitter and Receiver antennas (the antennas are internal, facing out of the ends opposite of the connectorized panels) so they face each other. Adjust for best reception. Placement It is best to place the Transmitter and Receiver as high as possible in an area where there will be the least traffic. Operating the Transmitter Professional Installation Only The Transmitter operates automatically. There are no adjustments to be made. There are no switch settings on the Transmitter, and no options. The maximum distance from the Transmitter to the Receiver is about 200 feet. Operating the Receiver The Receiver operates automatically. There are no adjustments to be made. Important FCC Information This equipment must be professional installed. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Part 15 of the FCC Rules in order to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Make certain that the AC power is supplied to the scrambled digital audio source and the digital audio decoder. The system is not receiving a signal. Make certain both units are powered on and that your audio source is turned on and operating. Make certain the LED on the Transmitter is illuminated. Make certain the LED on the Receiver is illuminated. Reorient the antennas. The audio is distorted Make certain the audio going into the Transmitter is not distorted. Turn down the Level into the Transmitter. Reorient the antennas. The system has noise Check that the Transmitter and Receiver antennas are in clear line of sight with each other. Metal objects, such as some building structural supports or heating ducts, may cause interference. Try reorienting and relocating the antennas.
