EN User Manual Manuel Utilisateur FR Part Number 61912035000 USER MANUAL EN Dear Customer, the DEFCOM 3.2B alarm allows it to be installed on your vehicle quickly and in compliance with current regulations. The DEFCOM 3.2B device has possibility to be paired with a CARD B9.5 as ad ditionally accessory but it is mainly used with a smartphone APP whose functions are described in the manual available online and downloadable from the App menu. For a correct management of the product through the App we suggest to apply here the white self-adhesive label that seals the alarm control unit package. Keep these indications in a safe place, they will be useful for product updates and optional acces sories. OVERRIDE EMERGENCY CODE We suggest to write in this space the customized Password used to pair the smartphone in order to use it if you have to pair another smartphone to the same product. Password:
The usage of the mobile APP for arming/disarming the product temporarily excludes the functioning of the CARD B9.5 if it has been bought separately and has been memorized in a second time. SAFETY WARNINGS The graphic symbols placed on the equipment indicate that the specific information in this manual must be observed. The symbols are used to safe guard the health of users against the danger that the materials inside the product may cause. WARNING! DANGER OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED WITH A DIFFERENT OR UNSUITABLE TYPE. USED BATTERIES MUST BE DISPOSED OF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DESIGNATED DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS. Do not swallow the battery: danger of chemical burns. This product contains a coin/button cell battery. Swallowing coin/button cell batteries can cause severe internal burns and lead to death within 2 hours. Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children. Stop the use of the product and keep it out of the reach of children if the battery compartment does not close completely. Seek immediate medical attention if battery ingestion is suspected. 2 KTM | DEFCOM 3.2B User Manual 1. FIRST ACTIVATION AFTER VEHICLE CONNECTION 1. To activate the device, after battery connection, turn ON and OFF the vehicle instru ment panel. 2. The alarm unit emits 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP and LED start flashing quickly, within 1 minute activate the instrument panel, the alarm unit emits 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP again and activa tion will be completed; if the instrument panel activation dont occur within 1 minute the activation will be automatically and the alarm unit emits 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP to advise about it. NOTE: Whenever the vehicle battery will be connect (for example after disconnecting it for winter period or maintenance) to activate the device, repeat steps 1 and 2 above. 2. CARD B9.5 ACTIVATION ( OPTIONAL) The CARD B9.5 is not supplied in the package but is an option. To activate it please follow the specific procedure for add a card as in chapter 17. After a new Card B9.5 has been paired, to activate it, press its button for five times. 3. AUTOMATIC ARMING After turned OFF the vehicle instrument panel the alarm unit will be ready to arming, the com plete arming will happen 20 second after moved the Smartphone APP or the CARD B9.5 (op tional) out of the detection range, ar ming is signaled by a 2 BEEP sounds, 2 flashes of direction indicators and a quick flashing of the LED to indicate start of immunity time during that is pos sible check all the protection without triggering an alarm sounding (see chapter 6. IMMUNITY TIME). After immunity time all the alarm protections will be ready to produce an alarm trigger and the LED will flash slowly. 4. ARMING BY THE CARD B9.5 BUTTON (OPTIONAL) Press briefly the CARD B9.5 button close to the vehicle. Releasing button the alarm unit will arming and it will be signaled by 2 BEEP sounds, 2 flashes of direction indicators and a quick flashing of the LED to indicate start of immunity time during that is possible check all the pro tection without triggering an alarm sounding (see chapter 6. IMMUNITY TIME). After immu nity time all the alarm protections will be ready to produce an alarm trigger and the LED will flash slowly. 5. ARMING WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE INTERNAL MOVEMENT SENSOR The disarming of the sensor can be obtained by using the specific function in the APP menu or by press hold the CARD B9.5 button (if paired) for 6 seconds close to the vehicle. Once ac tivated by app or by releasing button on the CARD B9.5 the alarm unit will arming and it will be signaled by 2 BEEP+1BEEP sounds, 2+1 flashes of direction indi cators and a quick flashing of the LED to indicate start of immunity time during that is possi ble check all the protection without triggering an alarm sounding (see chapter 6. IMMUNITY TIME). After immunity time all the alarm protections will be ready to produce an alarm trigger and the LED will flash slowly. 6. IMMUNITY TIME During the first 26 seconds after the alarm arming, the LED flashing quickly to indicate that it is possible to test the protection functions of the system. Every alarm triggers doesnt produce an alarm sounding but just a BEEP sounds by the siren and the reset of initial immunity time that restarts again. When immunity time is over, the LED flashes normally and every alarm triggers will produce an alarm sounding. 3 KTM | DEFCOM 3.2B User Manual 7. ACTIVE PHASE This is when the alarm system is armed and after the initial immunity phase is over. Any alarm triggers will produce an alarm cycle that lasts 26 seconds: the direction indicators flash, the siren emits a distinctive modulated sound, and it will be impossible to start the en gine. 8. PROTECTION BY THE ALARM SYSTEM The alarm central unit protects the motorcycle against being started and an alarm cycle will be triggered every time:
The ignition key is turned ON An attempt is made to remove or move any part of the motorcycle which is protected by specific switches (for example if the seat or the storage compartment is opened...) The motorcycle is moved The alarm systems supply cables are disconnected or cut or if the motorcycles battery is disconnected. 9. DISARMING Coming back to the vehicle with Smartphone APP or with CARD B9.5 ( optional) the alarm unit recognize the Id Tag and turns off the LED to indicate that is ready to be disarmed turning ON the vehicle instrument panel. Turning ON the vehicle instrument panel the disarming is signaled by a 1 BEEP sound and 1 flash of the direction indicators. If the siren also emits a BOOP sound, this means that the alarm system was triggered. To find out how the alarm was triggered, consult the 10. ALARM MEMORY table. If visual and acoustic signals are given during arming or disarming that are different to those described above, consult the chapter 11. NOTIFICATION to find out what they mean. 10. ALARM MEMORY If various alarms have been triggered during your absence the ALARM MEMORY will signal them on the LED emitting a sequences of flashing with 3 seconds pauses between the sequen ces and will repeat the series of sequences every 6 seconds. The ALARM MEMORY is reset when the alarm system is armed with Smartphone APP or the CARD B9.5 (optional) again or when the vehicle instrument panel is ON but the alarms memo ry stay available for 1 minute also after instrument panel activation. NOTIFICATIONS The DEFCOM 3.2B alarm provides different signals (led, siren and flashing of the vehicle in dicators) according to the different commands received and different conditions which it is, following are reported the main signals. BUZZER ARMING/DISARMING DISABLE To deactivate the Arming/Disarming Buzzer, it is necessary to contact an installation center equipped with the PRG007 Programmer or use the smartphone App. 13. SERVICE MODE If needs excluding the alarm system for a time period, its possible enable the SERVICE MODE modality using Smarphone APP or the CARD B9.5 (optional). To enable the SERVICE MODE the function can be selected by the Smartphone APP Menu or by turn ON the motorcycles key and immediately after press hold the CARD B9.5 button (
optional) at least 6 seconds, the feature enabling is indicated by the LED flashing very fast when the motorcycles key is ON. To disable the SERVICE MODE the function can be selected by the Smartphone APP Menu or by turn ON the motorcycles key and immediately after press hold the CARD B9.5 button
(optional) at least 6 seconds, the feature disabling is indicated by the LED goes OFF. 5 KTM | DEFCOM 3.2B User Manual 14. SYSTEM TO PREVENT VEHICLE BATTERY DISCHARGE This product has one timed operation to protect the vehicle battery (STOP MODE) and an addi tional system to fast shut off if the battery voltage level goes down than 10,5V. 15. STOP MODE The alarm system automatically switches off in order to limit the consumption of current in the motorcycles battery, automatically excluding the alarm functions but maintaining the immo bilization of the engine: in this condition current consumption is nil. STOP MODE is activated 5 days after the system was armed last time if no alarms were trigge red in this time or if the motorcycles battery is almost flat (battery voltage level under 10,5V). To exit from STOP MODE, please select the specific function on mobile APP or turn the igni tion key ON: the siren will emit a series of BEEP sounds; Press the CARD B9.5 button (optional) within 20 seconds to disarm the alarm system. If the CARD B9.5 is not paried or its button is not pressed within 20 seconds, an alarm cycle for ignition key sen sing will be triggered. 16. OVERRIDE EMERGENCY CODE (PIN CODE) If the Smartphone or the CARD B9.5 (optional) is lost, stolen or damaged, it is possible to disarm the alarm system with a 5 digit emergency code called the OVERRIDE CODE and this code is found on the label applied on the alarm central unit body and is isnt changeable. Remove the label from the alarm unit body and keep it with you to be used if you needs it; keep the OVERRIDE CODE in a safe place and not with the motorcycle. The procedure is operational only after the initial immunity phase is over, and if the alarm fun ctions are operational, alarm cycles will be triggered while the override code is inserted. Perform the following procedure. With armed alarm system activate the instrument panel and immediately deactivate it; the LED will turn ON, turn off and then start to flash after 2 seconds. Lutilisation de lAPP mobile pour armer/dsarmer le produit exclut temporai rement le fonctionnement de la CARD B9.5 si elle a t achete sparment et a t mmorise une seconde fois. CONSIGNES DE SCURIT Les symboles graphiques apposs sur le dispositif indiquent quil faut sui vre les informations spcifiques figurant dans ce manuel. Ils indiquent le danger que les matriaux utiliss lintrieur du produit sont susceptibles de provoquer et ils sont utiliss dans le but de protger la sant de tous les utilisateurs. ATTENTION ! RISQUE DEXPLOSION SI LA PILE EST REMPLACE PAR UN TYPE INCORRECT DE PILE. LIMINER LES PILES USES EN SUIVANT LES INSTRUCTIONS SPCIFIQUES DDIES LLIMINATION. Ne pas avaler la pile, risque de brlure chimique. Ce produit contient une pile bouton en forme de pice de monnaie. En cas dingestion prsume de piles, sadresser immdiatement un mdecin. 9 Manuel Utilisateur KTM | DEFCOM 3.2B 1. PREMIRE ACTIVATION APRS LE BRANCHEMENT AU VHICULE 1. Pour activer le dispositif, aprs avoir rebranch la batterie du vhicule, activer et dsactiver le combin de bord. 2. Lunit antivol met 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP et le voyant commence clignoter rapidement. Ensuite, dans la minute qui suit, activer nouveau le combin de bord, lunit antivol met nouveau 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP et lactivation est termine. Si le combin de bord nest pas activ dans la minute qui suit, lexpiration de ce laps de temps, lactivation aura lieu automatiquement et elle sera signale par 2 BEEP + 2 BOOP.. REMARQUE: chaque branchement de la batterie du vhicule (par exemple aprs lavoir dbran-
che pour lhiver ou pour des oprations dentretien), pour ractiver le dispositif, il faut rpter les points 1 et 2 illustrs ci-dessus. 2. ACTIVATION DE LA CARD B9.5 La CARTE B9.5 nest pas fournie dans lemballage mais est une option. Pour lactiver, veuillez suivre la procdure spcifique dajout dune carte dcrite au chapitre 17. Aprs avoir appari une nouvelle carte B9.5, pour lactiver, appuyez cinq fois sur son bouton. 3. ENCLENCHEMENT AUTOMATIQUE Aprs avoir teint le tableau de bord du vhicule, lunit dalarme sera prte sarmer, larme ment complet se produira 20 secondes aprs avoir dplac le Smartphone APP ou la CARD B9.5 (en option) hors de la zone de dtection, larmement est signal par 2 BIP, 2 clignotements des indicateurs de direction et un clignotement rapide de la LED pour indiquer le dbut du tem ps dimmunit pendant lequel il est possible de vrifier toutes les protections sans dclencher une alarme (voir le chapitre 6. TEMPS DIMMUNIT). Aprs le temps dimmunit, toutes les protections dalarme seront prtes produire un dclenchement dalarme et la LED clignotera lentement. 4. ENCLENCHEMENT LAIDE DU BOUTON DE LA CARD B9.5 (OPTIONEL) Appuyer brivement sur la touche de la CARD B9.5 proximit du vhicule. Au relchement du bouton, lantivol senclenchera en mettant 2 BEEP, les clignotants effectueront 2 clignotements et le voyant clignotera rapidement pour indiquer le dbut de la priode dimmunit initiale au cours de laquelle il est possible de vrifier lefficacit des protections sans provoquer une alarme (voir chapitre 6. IMMUNIT INITIALE ). la fin de la priode dimmunit, toutes les fonctions de lunit seront actives et le voyant clignotera. 5. ENCLENCHEMENT SANS CAPTEUR DE DPLACEMENT Le dclenchement du dtecteur peut tre obtenu en utilisant la fonction spcifique dans le menu APP ou en appuyant sur le bouton de la CARD B9.5 (si jumel) pendant 6 secondes pro ximit du vhicule. Une fois active par lapplication ou en relchant le bouton de la CARD B9.5, la centrale dalarme sarme et est signale par 2 BEEP+1BEEP, 2+1 clignotements des indicateurs de direction et un clignotement rapide de la LED pour indiquer le dbut du temps dimmunit pendant lequel il est possible de vrifier toutes les protections sans dclencher dalarme (voir chapitre 6. TEMPS DIMMUNIT). Aprs le temps dimmunit, toutes les protections dalarme seront prtes produire un dclenchement dalarme et la LED clignotera lentement. 6. IMMUNIT INITIALE Lors des 26 premires secondes partir de lenclenchement de lunit, le voyant clignote rapide ment pour signaler quil est possible de tester les protections de lalarme. Les excitations ventuelles dalarme ne provoquent pas dalarmes, mais seulement des BEEP de la sirne et la priode dimmunit initiale repartira de zro. la fin de la priode dimmunit, toutes les fonctions de lunit seront actives et le voyant clignotera. 10 Manuel Utilisateur KTM | DEFCOM 3.2B 7. PHASE ACTIVE Cestdire lunit enclenche, une fois la priode dimmunit initiale termine. Les excitations ventuelles dalarme provoquent un cycle dalarme dune dure de 26 secondes:
les clignotants clignotent, la sirne met un sono modul caractristique et il sera impossible de faire dmarrer le moteur. 8. PROTECTIONS DALARME Lunit dalarme protgera la moto contre toute tentative de dmarrage et un cycle dalarme sera lanc chaque fois que :
la cl de contact de la moto sera tourne sur la position ON ;
on essaiera denlever ou de dplacer une pice de la moto protge par des contacts spcifiques (par exemple, ouverture de la sella, compartiment de rangement, etc.) ;
la moto sera dplace ;
les cbles dalimentation de lunit dalarme sont dbranchs/coups ou si la batterie de la moto est dbranche. 9. DSENCLENCHEMENT En revenant au vhicule avec lapplication Smartphone ou avec la carte B9.5 (en option), lu nit dalarme reconnat le badge didentification et teint la LED pour indiquer quelle est prte tre dsarme en allumant le tableau de bord du vhicule. En allumant le tableau de bord du vhicule, le dsarmement est signal par un BIP sonore et un clignotement des indicateurs de direction. SYSTME DE PROTECTION DE LA BATTERIE DU VHICULE Le produit a un mode de fonctionnement temporis prvu pour protger la batterie du vhicu le (STOP MODE) et un systme supplmentaire dextinction rapide si la tension de la batterie descend sous les 10,5 V. 15. CODE DURGENCE OVERRIDE (PIN CODE) En cas de perte, de vol ou dendommagement du Smartphone ou de la CARD B9.5 (en option), il est possible de dsarmer le systme dalarme laide dun code durgence 5 chiffres appel CODE OVERRIDE. Ce code se trouve sur ltiquette appose sur le corps de la centrale dalar me et nest pas modifiable.
