OPERATION The Minilink 5.8 transmitter is designed to be used in conjunction with a compatible receiver. Refer to the instructions accompanying your receiver for proper installation of that unit. LOCATION:
e The Minilink has been designed to be mounted against a flat surface for support and stability. (Vote: The location selected for mounting the Minilink should be protected form immersion in water unlesss enclosed in a watertight enclosure, and should have a moderate shock protection.) POWER:
e The Minilink is powered by a 6-14.5 VDC power supply connected to the Power In connector on the rear of the case. The transmitter incorporates internal reverse voltage protection. Channel Select:
e Channel selection is accomplished by programming of the 4 position dip Switch located at the rear panel. Switch and frequency settings are listed on the label adjacent to the switch access. Audio Select:
e Audio mode selection is enabled by programming the 2 position dip Switch located at the rear panel. Switch settings are listed on the rear label adjacent to the switch access. The Audio In connector can be used for either line or microphone input levels. If an electret microphone is used, the second switch position can be selected to supply +5 V to the electret element. The +5V microphone supply should be disabled for dynamic microphone or line input uses. SETUP & OPERATION:
Select Frequency and Audio mode. Connect Power, Video and Audio inputs. Position for desired polarity using rear label arrow as a reference, transmitter and receiver polarity must match one another. MAINTENANCE Your Microtek Electronics product is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help to ensure maximum operational life. e Keep the product dry. If it does get wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liquids may contain minerals than corrode electronic circuits. e Use the system only within the environmental specifications indicated below.
