Coiled Ethernet Cable Kit Flatbed only This section describes the installation of a flexible and extendable coiled Ethernet cable for providing Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) connections to one or more IP cameras on moving flatbeds. It is designed for installation on the outboard right or left side of the moving bed and vehicle chassis to allow for full movement of the bed. It is critical that all mounting recommendations be followed to prevent damage to the cable from snagging or being over-

extended. The mounting surface's material thickness (vehicle body or firewall) must be no thicker than 1/4" to fully thread and properly fasten the antennae. Event Switch and Power Takeoff Installation This section describes the installation procedures for a drivers side dashboard-mount Event Switch assembly and for connecting an MDVR sensor input to the vehicles power takeoff activation circuits. The Event Switch can be used by the driver to place a mark in the recording for later access when a significant roadway event has occurred which cant be detected by system sensors. The Power Takeoff (PTO) connection will automatically mark the recording everytime the system is activated for loading and unloading events. Event Switch Assembly Installation Steps 1) Choose an appropriate mounting location on the drivers side dashboard which has room behind for the switch. Remove any trim panels to gain access. 2) Drill a hole just large enough to accommodate the Event Switch. 3) Install the Event Switch through the hole and secure with the included nut. 4) Route the wires to the MDVR and connect per the schematic. 5) Determine if the vehicle has a PTO switch which switches +12V in the dashboard and connect the IO_SENSOR 2 wire to that switch. Our company signs a sales contract with a commercial vehicle customer and we generate a design specifically for this customer and ship the assembled kits. We arrange for our own trained installers to perform the installations on their vehicles, or, when a customer is capable, we provide documentation and training for their installers to follow specifically. We monitor their installation remotely and ensure correct performance upon completion. No component substitutions are permitted by our customers. The MDVR which we purchase is designed and manufactured outside of the US by a major supplier which sells these devices to distributors globally for commercial vehicle applications. We benefit from this arrangement (i.e. cost and leadtime) due to using their off-the-shelf product without making any changes. This MDVR contains a 4G cellular radio and a GPS radio and can be purchased with an optional 802.11 WiFi radio (not used in this particular application), all of which require the use of externally-mounted antennas on the commercial vehicle. All three of these external connectors are standard SMA connectors and the antennas which our manufacturer has specifically selected for compatibility with the MDVR also use standard SMA connectors. Once the MVDR is professionally installed in a vehicle, end users are not able to modify or change antennas installed with the system. We understand that standard connectors are not generally permitted on FCC-certified devices, but we request that the FCC allow these connectors to be used with our devices given that we do not sell to the public or allow our trained installers to make any substitutions. If we have to make changes to the connectors on the MDVR and antennas, we will lose all of our cost and leadtime advantages by creating custom components.
