Change ID & Channel PointMaster User guide Hardware Setup 1. Connect USB RF receiver to an available USB port. Windows: Windows will detect new hardware and install appropriate software automatically via New Hardware Wizard. Please also have your Windows System CD-ROM ready in case the Wizard ask for it. Macintosh: No software installation required 2. 3. 4. Push and slide down to open the battery compartment lid. Insert two AAA batteries as indicated. Reinsert the battery compartment lid and slide up to close. Use tip of a pen to press the Connect button on the USB RF Receiver. Then press the Connect button on the RF remote control for wireless link. Repeat step 1 & 3, when new batteries are changed or RF interference encountered. New channel and ID will be issued and wireless link reestablished. Using the PointMaster The PointMaster has two modes of operations that is set by the MODE button. Using the PointMaster in PRESENTER Mode. (When Green LED is off) 1. In this mode, the PointMaster act as an USB mouse with Laser pointer function activated to facilitate your presentation. For detail operation, please refer to the Quick Start Reference Table. Using the PointMaster in MEDIA Mode. (When Green LED is flashing) Multimedia speed buttons are implemented for easy control of Windows XPs Media Player. This mode is not supported for Mac OS, Windows 98, Windows 2000. For detail operations, please refer to the Quick Start Reference Table. 2. Notes: DO NOT point laser pointer into eyes or stare into laser beam!
