Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division Declaration Letter for Low Power Indoor Access Points (6ID) We, NETGEAR, INC., attest that this device under FCC ID: PY326200664 complies with device protocol requirements and operational restrictions for Indoor Access Point Devices (6ID). a) The method used by this indoor access point to control the associated client/subordinate power control is as follows: As a IEEE 802.xx compliant device, the Transmit Power Envelope element transmitted by the product contains information fields on transmit power limits. The connecting client/subordinate device uses these TPE information to ensure it operates within the regulatory transmit power limits. The device beacon and probe response also ensure the connecting client/subordinate knows what type of device it is connecting to. b) This Low-Power Indoor Access Point operates in the 5.925-7.125 GHz band only when supplied power from a wired connection. Operation in this band is permitted only when the device is in plugged-in mode, as described in the user's manual. Before this band can be enabled through the device or web user interface, the end user must remove the battery and connect the device to a wall adapter. Accordingly, when operating in the 5.925-7.125 GHz band, the device is powered from a wired connection, is not battery-powered, has an integrated antenna, and does not have a weatherized enclosure. c) We acknowledge this device is subject to and in full compliance with the device restrictions listed below. All users are notified of these restrictions through the user manual. This device's operation will not be allowed on oil platforms, cars, trains, boats, and aircraft, except that operation of this device is permitted in large aircraft while flying above 10,000 feet only in the 5.925-6.425 GHz band.
