10012437A-2GIG-RPTR1-345-INSTALL-INSTR-en-PRT, 09/16/2016, BLACK, 20LB MEAD BOND, 8.5X11, TOL. +/- 0.125, SCALE: 1:1, FRONT & BACK, FOLD TO FIT BOX PRINTERS INSTRUCTIONS 2GIG-RPTR1-345 WIRELESS INDOOR REPEATER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS The2GIGWirelessIndoorRepeater(2GIGRPTR1345)isaremotely poweredwirelessindoorrepeater.Therepeaterisaperipheraldevice thatcommunicateswiththe2GIGPanelusingaproprietary345MHz transmissionprotocol.Therepeaterreceivesandrecognizesmessages fromother345MHzdevicesthatareunabletodirectlycommunicate withthesystem,andrepeatsthosemessagestoextendtherangeof thesedevices. Therepeaterwilltypicallybeinstalledatthemidpointbetweenthe panelandthewirelessdevicesbeingrepeated.Whenatransmission fromadeviceisrepeated,therepeateraddsabittothemessageto indicatetothesystemthatthemessageisnotcomingdirectlyfrom thedevice.Therepeaterwillnotrepeatalreadyrepeatedmessages. TherepeaterispoweredbyanACadapterandisequippedwitha rechargeablebatterywhichsupports24hoursofbatterybackup underconditionsoflocalpowerfailure.Whenthepowersourcefor therepeaterchangesfromACpowertobatterybackup,orfrom batterybackuptoACpower,therepeaterwillautomaticallysenda messagetothesystemwithintwo(2)minutes.Inaddition, supervisorymessagesaresentapproximatelyevery70minutesthat indicatetherepeaterstatus. TherepeaterisequippedwithastatusindicatorLEDvisiblefromthe frontoftheunit,andalearnbuttonislocatedonthesideoftheunit. 1 Opentherepeatercase. 2 Attachthebasetothedesiredwalllocationwiththefour(4) Phillipsheadscrewsandanchorssupplied(seeFigure2). 3 Installthetamperscrew(seeFigure2).Withthetamperscrew installed,removingthecasefromthewalltriggerstamper. NOTE: Forthetampertoworkcorrectly,thetamperscrewmust beinstalledintoawallstud.Donotuseawallanchor. 4 Installthebattery.Observebatterypolarity. 5 Connectthe2conductorwiretothepowersupplyandtothe terminalconnectoronthecircuitboard.Makesurethewire passesthroughthegrommetandholeontherepeaterbasebefore connectingtotheterminal. 6 Attachtherepeatercovertothebaseandsecuretheassembly withthePhillipsheadcaselockingscrew.
