Install the booster either under the dashboard or under seat so you can easily access to the ON/OFF and Hi/Lo band switches. Avoid direct sunlight to the unit. 2. Connect the cell phone antenna adapter with the TNC male to the booster antenna TNC female connector input marked PHONE and the other end to the phone. 5. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Observe the signal bar on the cell phone. It should be either the same or increase by one or two bars. If it decreases, switch the HI/LO switch to HI position. If the signal bar is still low, re-check the installation again. Note:
Typically signal bar will change within 10-20 sec. Notes: If a roof mount antenna is used, it should be located near the center of the roof to optimize the antenna performance. If a glass mount antenna is used, it should be located according to the manufacturers recommendation. Typically it will be located near the top of the rear window. Install the booster in the dry area where the water can not get to the unit. It can be in the instrument console or anywhere near by. To minimize the signal loss from the phone to the booster, the cell phone adapter cable should not be longer 6 feet. Avoid direct sunlight to the unit. 2.
