Canvia setup & app features Login/password Log into the Canvia app with your account username and password - if you have not yet registered an account, you can do so via the app itself by clicking on Sign up or alternatively via https://www.palacio.life/members/#/login and clicking on the Dont have an account? link. Connecting to your device 1. Canvia by default is in AP mode a. This means Canvia is generating its own local network called Canvia-AP. b. To confirm whether or not your Canvia is in AP mode, search for available Wi-Fi networks and look for a network name containing Canvia-AP.... 2. Open the Canvia mobile app and log in with your account username and password 3. Go to Settings from the apps main menu and check that you are connected to your home network (this will be listed under Wi-Fi at the top of the Settings page). If not, connect your phone/tablet to your home network. 4. Go to Device Setup from the apps main menu. You should see that you are connected to your 5. home network. Click Continue In the next window, select Settings and then go to the Wi-Fi settings of your phone/tablet. Select the available Canvia-AP... network. 6. Return to the Canvia mobile app by selecting Canvia or the back arrow icon at the top left corner (depending on your phone/tablet). You should see this message at the top of the screen:
Your selected Canvia Device name: Canvia-AP.. 7. Click Continue and on the next screen, enter the password for your home Wi-Fi network. Click Continue. A confirmation popup will appear on most devices asking whether Canvia can join your home Wi-Fi network - select Join Note: the home Wi-Fi network to which you wish to connect your Canvia must be password protected in order for device registration to work 8. You will then be taken to the home screen of the app. Note: it might take several seconds for the connection to your Canvia to be established. Display features 1. Click on Personal or Favorite Playlists. You will be taken to a screen listing the available playlists. Select a playlist. Note: if you do have yet have any Personal or Favorite Playlists associated with your account, please add them via the Canvia website:
https://www.palacio.life/members/#/login. See the Canvia website features doc for more details 2. Select the artwork you want to display. 3. Swipe up from the bottom to display the caption of the selected artwork. Swipe down to remove. 4. If the device Display Mode is set to Norma, click on the zoom icon on the bottom right to zoom and reposition the artwork on Canvia. a. After clicking on the zoom icon, you will see the icon change. You can then zoom and reposition the artwork by touch - coordinate with the artworks appearance on Canvia b. Lock the artwork position by clicking on the zoom icon again. 5. Swipe left to see the previous artwork in the playlist; swipe right to see the next artwork Settings features 1. Select Settings from the apps main menu 2. Under Orientation, you can alternate between portrait and landscape orientations of artwork on Canvia 3. Under Artwork captions, alternate between None, Partial or Full caption overlays on Canvia. This selection will remain for all displayed artworks. a. Use the Partial setting for a permanent, unobtrusive display on information (e.g., artist signature). b. Use the Full description for additional detail about the artwork. 4. Under Artsense and Equalization, use the sliders to adjust Canvias display so as to make it look more or less realistic. 5. Under Playback interval, use the slider to adjust the duration an artwork remains displayed before Canvia automatically advances to the next artwork in the playlist 6. Under Display Mode, you can choose between:
a. Normal: this displays the artwork at its original aspect ratio (with letter- or pillarboxing). In this mode, you can use the Canvia app to manually zoom and resposition the image b. Pan & scan: this scales up the artwork to fill the entire display 7. Under Wi-Fi mode, select Set AP to switch Canvia back to AP mode, i.e. disconnect from your home network and restart Canvia as a local network. Once youve done this, youll need to reconnect your Canvia again as described in the above steps. FCC Warning This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules.
