Keypad Programming Mode In this mode, a smartphone is needless when operating a Kapture lock. After the hardware installation, setting the lock and adding the users keypad code via the keypad. Voice assistant: You can access a registered lock through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Common Functions Users can access the lock via the physical kay or keypad. An initial access code, which is the master code, is 147369. Master code is a changeable six-digit code, we suggest that it is for master use only. Certified-communication between the Link and Kapture lock goes through TSL, guard against the malicious attacks from hackers. Each guest can access the lock without any registration via a unique keypad code which is granted remotely from the other users. Equipped with real-time alerts. The real-time alerts can be set by Owner and families on their own app to be notified of the interested lock status. The owner and Family can remote access the lock. Provide any of the status changes to the lock and real-time events all in the record. The privacy button will flash after a success press and the Led inside will light. 5 Short press the privacy button, and there are two statuses that can tell out from the lit led. Red LED flash x 2 - Privacy mode on Green LED flash x 2 - Privacy mode off Long press the privacy button for 5 seconds, and there are two statuses that can tell out from the lit led. Red LED flash x 2 + Beep x 2 tells the Privacy Mod is activated. Green LED flash x 2 + Beep x 2 tells the Privacy Mode is closed. The Privacy Mode will be closed if the lock is opened via ways or re-power on. Once the Privacy Mode is activated, the lock will lock. If the lock remains open, the Privacy Mode is not activated. When the lock is on Privacy Mode, only the physical key or the Owners Kapture app can unlock the door from the outdoors. The Kapture app will tell the lock status, the Privacy Mode is on, and be unable to cancel the Privacy Mode via the app. Stand-Alone Mode and LINK Mode. The settings of the Privacy Mose will be in the record. Low Battery Level 10% battery level goes to Low battery level. The interior Led flashes every 5 seconds till to run out of the power. Highly suggest replacing four new batteries to the lock. If the replacement still below 10% power level, the Led will keep flashing. In Stand-Alone Mode :
Low Battery Level will be recorded in the audit trail. In Link Mode Low Battery Level will be recorded in the audit trail, in the meantime, a real-time alert will be sent to the Owners and Familys app. Keypad Programming Commands In the Keypad Programming mode, you may follow below keypad commands to set the lock after entering the Master code and pressing button:

Stage 1: Three failed attempts lead to 3 minutes lockout. Stage 2: Continuously, another three failed attempts lead to 30 minutes lockout. Kapture Cloud Account Registration (Sign Up) First, you need to register a Kapture Cloud account and log in to operate the app. If the email ID is repeated, please try another one to register. Please note that a successful registration will no longer revise the email ID. Registration needs a valid email ID and its length can be up to 100 digits. The length of the user name can be up to 100 digits. The code length should be 8~10 digits with uppercase, lowercase, and at least one number(0~9). You may receive the confirmation email to the email address you registered. The confirmation code in the email has 6 digits, and the registration success when entering it to the app. If you fail to receive the confirmation email, please check the junk mail first. Besides, you may resend the confirmation email as well. The confirmation code is valid in 60 minutes. Log in the Kapture App Log in with your email ID and password. The app will remember your login information, needless to input again when you use the app in the next time. However, if you log out of the app, the login is necessary. An account allows you to log in a device, the new login will let the former one log out. Change Password function helps you to reset the password when you forget. Users can have all the information of the authorized locks in the app Paring the app to the lock via the Bluetooth (Adding A Lock) The pairing is needed between the Kapture app and the lock when you need the app to manage the lock. Please keep the QR code on the battery cover and the packing box. You will need the QR code to pair the lock when you reset the lock the other day. 9 A lock can be paired to a Kapture Cloud account. And the account will be the Owner to the lock. To change the Owner, please reset the lock and pair it to another new account. The former Owner account will no longer access the lock via the app and removal to the lock is recommended. The Link needs to re-pair as well if you have one. After completing the pairing, a Bluetooth icon will pop up on the app to the lock you set. The Bluetooth icon shows on the access page in the app and tells the availability to the lock through the app. Remember that some functions can not be used when out of the Bluetooth connection. The inviter can set an account for a user role by inviting, and an account can be invited once. The email ID is needed as an invitee. The invitee can be invited via the email to receive an invitation mail or a mobile phone number to receive an SMS. Inviter can invite or cancel permission when the Kapture app is connected with the internet. There are two user roles that can choose: Family or Guest. The Family has much the same user rights as the Owner, excluding removing the lock, adding a Link, removing themselves and Owner. Three types of Guests permissions:

The app is able to update the lock firmware when the smartphone is in connect with the lock via the Bluetooth. Please make sure the smartphone is close enough to the lock and leave before ensuring a successful update message shown on the app when updating the lock firmware.
