The main purpose of PAN4555 are ZigBeeTM (www.zigbee.org) applications based on BeeStack of Freescale Inc.. For details on ZigBee application software see chapter 21. Proprietary networking solutions on top of the IEEE802.15.4 MAC/PHY software package

(available at www.freescale.com/zigbee) could be implemented instead of ZigBee as well. As Integrated Development Environment (IDE) the MetrowerksTM CodeWarrior IDE from www.metrowerks.com is required. For device flash programming via the BDM port of PAN4555 the USB HCS08/HCS12 Multilink from www.pemicro.com is recommended. TM TM 4.
