Bluetooth keyboard with 'falcon' mouse USB charging cable Quick Start instructions Getting Started Perform charging from a PC or authorized power source not exceeding 5.0 DCV, using the USB charging cable provided with your keyboard until red charging light turns green. 1 Syncing: The falcon is a multi-platform keyboard, capable of being operated with any computer, iPAD, iPhone, or Tablet device equipped with Bluetooth chip set or Bluetooth dongle. The synced device must support the "Bluetooth HID profile. Microsoft 7 (or later), Android 4, and iOS 4.0 should work whereas the Blackberry will not. The Blackberry will require a third party "patch". Synching the with your falcon keyboard. Turn on your falcon using the upper left hand On/Off button. Turn on the device to be paired. Click Fn + F1 together to connect the first bluetooth unit Press the "synch" button on the upper right hand corner of the keyboard. The "synch" LED should start flashing blue. Go to the Bluetooth Control Panel on the device being paired Make sure Bluetooth is "on" and searching for devices When Falcon is found, instruct it to PAIR A number will show up with instructions to enter the code on
"falcon Keyboard", followed by the return or enter key. Be sure to press "Enter" to complete syncing. Once paired, it should remain paired on subsequent uses. If difficulty is encountered in synching, instructions for different types of units are provided in Appendix B of the Operation Manual. Set the cursor tracking speed to SLOW on the unit's control panel. Increase speed as you gain experience. (See below for cursor precision which is different from cursor speed) Repeat pressing Fn + F2 together, then sync to a second unit, and Fn + F3 together, then sync for a third unit. Helpful Hints:
The use of a mouse, thumb pad, or track ball is habit forming. To get the most from the falcon, hide your mouse where it cannot be reached and disable the track ball or thumb pad. You will have to form a new habit in the use of your thumb or finger tip to become proficient with the falcon to avoid reaching for the mouse or thumb pad. A right handed beginner may find that it is easier to have the left hand operate the select and pull down activation keys rather than doing it with the right hand as the thumb is maneuvering the cursor. Press Fn+L+R at the same time to switch back and forth for left or right hand operation. Either the down-side of the right or left thumb or a finger tip moving horizontally over the space bar lens can be used to move the cursor. The 105 keys with 1.9 cm (0.75 in) provide the feeling of a full keyboard. Ability to toggle back and forth for typing on either your PC, tablet or smart-phone. LED displays with different colors show status of key features. The LEDs, located above F1, F2, F3 flash blue when paired successfully with a Bluetooth component. By pressing Fn+F1 together, then pressing Sync, you connect with your first 2 unit. Fn + F2 together, then sync your second unit. Fn +F3 together, then sync for the third unit. Precise location of the cursor on the monitor can be assisted by varying the DPI (dots per inch-the accuracy of the picture being taken) Changing from 400, 600, 800 or 1200 DPI is performed by pressing Fn + S together. Repeating FN + S steps through each DPI in order. A very slight movement of the thumb or finger on the lens can show the change in movement speed from one DPI step to the next. If the keyboard turns off during periods of non-use, it can be restated by pressing any key. If the 3 devices have all paired successfully , you can press FN+F1, or FN+F2, or FN+F3 to switch from one device to another. If the keyboard is turned off, it should remain synced when it is turned on again. 3 II. Detail Instructions Other LED Displays:

This keyboard lets you create and communicate more easily on more devices. If the 3 devices have all paired successfully , you can press FN+F1, or FN+F2, or FN+F3 to switch from one device to another. For additional information on syncing specific Bluetooth components, see Appendix B. Post Syncing Operation:
If the keyboard turns off during periods of non-use, it can be restated by pressing any key. The keyboard will become active again after the KB re-connects. If the keyboard is turned off, it should remain synced when it is turned on again. Use the "Bluetooth" screen to remove any unwanted pairings if interference with them is occurring. falcon Operation:
The falcon keyboard has a built-in mouse operation that allows the user to move the cursor on the monitor almost identical to using a normal mouse. Instead of moving the mouse over a surface to move the cursor, the edge of the thumb or tip of a finger, is moved over the 'lens' in the space bar to move the cursor. By moving the down-edge of the right or left thumb over the cursor port at the space bar, the cursor is moved. Consequently, this cursor port along with the four small white activation keys are used to perform the exact same functions provided by a normal computer mouse (Left click, Right click, etc.). 4 When the cursor is over the spot desired, that item can be activated by using the index finger of the right hand to press the small white key just above the "H" key (Left Click). The middle finger can be used on the small white key just above the "j" key (Right Click) to pull down menus. Scroll up and down can be operated with the left hand index and middle finger respectively on the small white keys just above the "D" and "F" keys. By holding down both the Left and Right Click buttons, the thumb can be used to rotate an object (CAD use) on the monitor. By holding down both the up and down scroll buttons, the thumb can be used to zoom the object. NOTE: The software program being used on the connected unit has to have this feature of zooming or rotation for it to work with the falcon. Right or Left Hand:
The activation keys can be set for either right or left hand operation. Normally, the right two activation keys mimic the left-right click keys on a normal mouse. The left two activation keys provide scroll up and down operation. The activation keys can be reversed by pressing FN+R+L at the same time. Pressing FN+R+L again returns to normal. A new right hand user of the falcon may find it easier to use the Left Hand Keyboard Operation setup so that the left hand can be used for Left and Right click while the right hand thumb is used to move the cursor without worrying about the right hand finger activation of selection keys. 5 Appendix A falcon Specifications 105 Item Keys Specification 586 +/- 10 gm Product Name 1.6 mm +/- 0.2 mm Falcon BT Keyboard 380 x155 x 12 x +/- 2mm Operation Current (key & light) Bluetooth ver. 2.0, 3.0 &4.0 (HID) 45-60 gm Soft tactile rubber dome Key Travel Key Touch Dimensions Weight Interface Frequency Battery Size Battery Power The keyboard operation current is 2mA, and the LEDs current is 2mA.
