Shutting Down the PT-80 Thedeviceshouldbeshutdowninthefollowingway:
UsethemenuinAndroidOS.Holdthepowerbuttonfor3secondsthenselectPowerOff/Shutdown.

Usingthephysicalpowerbuttontoturnoffthedeviceisnotconsidereda"clean"shut down,andisthusnotrecommendedunlesscompletelynecessarybecauseitcanharm yourdevice. Power Saving ThePowersavingsettingsinthePT80tabletarepresettooptimizethebatteryruntime. Using the Cameras Thetwobuiltincamerasallowyoutotakesnapshotsorvideoofitemsfacingthebackside ofthePT80deviceandfromthedisplayside. 8 Adjusting the Volume Toadjustthevolume,usetheVolumeUpandDownbuttonsontheuppersideofthePT80 device.Forpositionreferences,seethelayoutinChaptertwo. Temperature:20to60(4to140) Relativehumidity:10%to90%(nocondensationonthedevice) Transporting the PT-80 Device DisconnectallthecablesfromthePT80whilecarryingthedevice. Whenyoutransportthedeviceforanyreason,usetheoriginalcasingandpackagingmaterialswhere possible.ItisrecommendedtokeeptheoriginalpackagingmaterialsforthePT80. IfthedeviceneedstobereturnedtotheDeviceManufacturerforWarrantyrelatedissuesorrepair,itis recommendedthattheoriginalpackagingorequivalentisusedforshipping.Mostshippingcarriers recommendatleast2inchesofpackingmaterialaroundthedevice. DuetoJointCommissionregulations,anyshippingmaterialsincludingboxessenttotheDevice Manufacturermustbediscarded,andwillbereplaced. 6. Safety ThePT80devicehasbeentestedandapprovedascomplianttoalltheSpecificationsand StandardslistedinAppendixBComplianceInformation,andintheAppendixATechnical Specifications.Nevertheless,inordertoensuresafeoperationofyourPT80device,therearea fewsafetywarningstobearinmind:
Donotdisassemblethisproduct.Youmayreceiveanelectricshock,orforeignmattermayenter andresultinafire.Ifamalfunctionortroubleoccurs,immediatelyturnthepoweroffandunplug 9 anypowersource.Thencontactyoursupplierstechnicalsupportofficeforrepair. Donotserviceorperformmaintenanceonthedevicewhilethedeviceisinuse.Makesureto shutthedevicedownandunplugallcablesbeforestartingandserviceormaintenanceworkon thedevice. 2.1 PowerSupplyandBatteries ThePT80devicecontainsonerechargeablebattery.Allrechargeablebatteriesdegradeover time.Thus,thepossibleusagetimesforthePT80afterafullchargecanbecomeshorterover timecomparedtowhenthedevicewasnew. ThePT80deviceusesaLiionPolymerbattery. Ifyouareinahotenvironment,beawarethatitcanaffecttheabilitytochargethebattery.The internaltemperaturemustbebetween0/32and45/113forthebatterytocharge.If theinternalbatterytemperaturerisesabove45/113thebatterywillnotchargeatall. AvoidexposingthePT80devicetofireortotemperaturesabove60/140.Theseconditions maycausethebatterytomalfunction,generateheat,igniteorexplode.Beawarethatitis possible,inaworstcasescenario,fortemperaturestoreachgreaterthanthosestatedabovein, forexample,thetrunkofacaronahotday. OnlychargethePT80batteryinanambienttemperatureof0/32to45/113. UseonlythesuppliedpoweradaptertochargethePT80device.Usingunauthorizedpower adaptersmayseverelydamagethePT80device. ForsafeoperationofthePT80device,useonlychargerandaccessoriesapprovedbyDevice Manufacturer. IfthePowerSupplyCordisdamageditneedstobereplacedbyServicePersonnelonly.Donot usethePowerSupplyCorduntilreplaced. DisconnecttheACpowerplugofthePoweradapterfromthewallsocketwhennotchargingthe deviceanddisconnectthepowercablefromthedevice. SpecialregulationsapplytoshippingdevicescontainingLiIonPolymerbatteries.Ifdropped, crushed,orshortcircuited,thesebatteriescanreleasedangerousamountsofheat,mayignite, and/ormaybedangerousnearfires. Theplug/adapterplugpinsinsulatethedevicefromthepowersupply.Donotpositionthedevice inapositionwhereitisdifficulttodisconnectthedevicefrompowersafelyterminateoperation ofthedevice. 2.2Temperature 10 UseindirectsunlightorinanyotherhotenvironmentmaycausethePT80devicetodevelophot surfaces.Thereisabuiltintemperaturesensorthatmonitorsthedevicetemperature.Ifthe sensordetectshighinternaltemperature,thedevicewillautomaticallytriggeraShutDown.It maytakeawhilebeforePT80devicecanberestartedastheunitmayfirstneedtimetocool down. 2.3Electricity Thedevicecontainsnouserserviceableparts.DonotopenthecaseofthePT80TabletDevice. Doingsowillvoidtheproductwarrantyandmayexposeyoutoelectricalhazards. 2.4 Software Usinganantivirusprogramisstronglyrecommended. SoftwareotherthanthatwhichispreinstalledonthePT80isinstalledattheuser'sownrisk. ExternalsoftwarecouldcausethePT80tomalfunctionandmightnotbecoveredbythe warranty. 2.5 MagneticField ThePT80devicecontainsmagnets.Magneticfieldsmayinterferewithpacemakers, defibrillators,orothermedicaldevices.Asarule,maintainaminimumdistanceof6inches(15 centimeters)betweenanyitemwithmagnetsandaheartdevice. 2.6 ThirdParty AnyuseofthePT80outsidetheintendeduseandtogetherwithanythirdpartysoftwareor hardwarethatchangestheintendedusevoidstheresponsibilityofthedevicemanufacturer. 7. Trouble shooting Inmostcases,restartingyourdevicewillresolveanyproblem.Torestartyourdevice,holdthepower buttonfor5seconds,thenselectShutdown/Restart.Ifyourdevicehascrashed(anddisplaysnothingon thescreen),holddownthepowerbuttonfor10secondstohardshutdown.Pressthepowerbutton againtoturnthePT80backon.
