USB Type-A 16 17 Introduction Introduction Registering an Account For the administrator Register an account from the account issuance email sent from Pixie Dust Technologies. After registration is completed, invite members to use this service from Member Administration in the settings of the displayed VUEVO web app (https://app.vuevo.net). An email for account registration is sent to the invited members. For members who receive an account registration email Register an account by following the instructions in the email. The email address and password used for registration are used for logging in to the smartphone app and web app. Take care not to forget them. A member who has registered an account can invite new members to use this service in the same way as the administrator. Setting Up Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connections Turn ON the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions from the settings of the smartphone. For details on the operating procedure, refer to the instruction manual for your smartphone. Check whether the location and conditions of the environment where the VUEVO microphone will be used allow for a Wi-Fi connection. Installing the Smartphone App Download and install the VUEVO smartphone app from either App Store or Google Play depending on the OS of your smartphone. 18 19 Operating Procedure Operating Procedure 1 Turn ON the power of the microphone.
Press and hold down the power button until the status indicator lights*. Status indicator Power button
* The status indicator takes about 3 seconds to light. If the same operation is performed while the power is ON, the power will turn OFF. 2 Start the smartphone app and log in.
Enter the email address and password used for account registration, and tap
[Login]. 3 Register the microphone to the smartphone app.
Once you log in, a search for microphones is performed automatically. When New microphone found appears, tap [Register]. When Registration is complete appears, registration of the microphone is complete. Once the microphone is registered, it does not need to be registered by other users. From the next time, the microphone and smartphone app will connect automatically. Depending on the setting state of your smartphone, you may receive requests to grant various permissions from the smartphone app at the initial microphone registration and when connecting automatically after registration. If that happens, grant the permissions following the instructions displayed on the smartphone. 20 21 Operating Procedure Operating Procedure 4 Connect the microphone to Wi-Fi.
Tap [Go to Wi-Fi connections].
Tap the name of the network to which to connect.
Enter the password of the network and tap [Connect]. When Wi-Fi connection is complete appears, the connection is complete. 5
Tap [Start conversation].
When [Start conversation] is tapped, the URL to enable use of the web app is sent simultaneously by email to the user (email address used for smartphone app login).
When the microphone is used for the first time, an explanation about how to place the microphone is displayed. Carefully check the displayed explanation and the explanation on page 19, and then place the microphone correctly.
* A conversation cannot be started 22 from the web app.
| How to place the microphone Place the microphone in a stable location such as on a desk. Place the microphone around the center of the participating members. Sound is collected from all directions 360 degrees around the microphone. It is recommended to place the microphone within a distance of approximately 3 m of the participating members. Do not place any obstacles around the microphone. They will obstruct sound collection. If there is any obstacle that is difficult to remove, place the microphone where the obstacle will be avoided or place the microphone on a stand or the like so as to make sound collection easy. Once the conversation screen is displayed after the How to place the microphone explanation, speech-to-
text conversion will begin.
Tapping the top right of the screen allows you to invite a member to participate. 6 End the conversation from the smartphone app.*
Tap [ End].
After ending the conversation from the smartphone app, turn OFF the power of the microphone. (Reference: p. 16)
* A conversation cannot be ended from the web app. Note To end a conversation, the user who started the conversation must tap [ End] from the smartphone app (other than the user who started the conversation cannot end the conversation). Not ending a conversation correctly will result in the following:
