The description on this page illustrates how to install PMP, GPS antenna, stand, power cable in the car. 1. Dust off the area of the windshield. You should mount the stand in a position that will not hinder your vision. 2. Attach the main body to the installed stand. 3. Plug in the adaptor to vehicle DC charger Caution The DC 12V adaptor supplied may be used exclusively. General adaptors are not applicable and may cause electrical failure. Begin installation with your car parked and the engine shut off. 5 Safety Precautions
The Safety Precautions are to prevent any damage to the GPS device, by using the product properly. Follow the guidelines below.
Car Use Operation prohibited while driving If you operate the product while driving, it may cause a traffic accident due to carelessness in fixing your eyes on the front. Stop at a safe place for operation. Continuous watching prohibited Drivers continuous gazing at the screen may cause a traffic accident. The driver should pay attention to driving and road environment once he/she starts driving. If the product is used for an extended period of time without a running engine, be advised that your automobile battery may become depleted. Poor reception due to areas with extensive electrical signals or from areas with interfering landscape will recover into normal mode once you are out of the blacked out areas. Extreme seasonal temperature changes may affect the GPS product. Do not store the device in your automobile when temperatures exceed 120 F or falls below 40 F. 6
Power Supply For electrical stability, use only AC power adaptors approved for this product. If an irregular smell emits from the device or adaptor, stop the usage immediately. Unplug the adaptor and contact the service center. Do not excessively bend the adaptor cord or allow the head to come under a great deal of pressure. Firmly insert the adaptor plug so that it will not be loose. Do not plug too many A/C adaptors in one outlet; it may cause abnormal heating and a fire. Take hold of the plug and adaptor with a dry hand while handling; otherwise, it may cause an electric shock. When you are not using the device, unplug it at all time. On occasion of thunder or lightning, remove the plug. 7
Use If foreign substance or liquid permeates through the device, immediately turn off the power supply, take out the AC adaptor from the outlet, and contact a qualified engineer for inspection. Do not disassemble, repair, and remodel. It may cause damages and your warranty will be voided. Do not put this device in a place with much humidity, dust or black dirt. Do not place the device around a heat source or in an area of extremely high temperatures. Do not use around any magnetic devices. The device may be damaged by a magnetic object such as magnet, CRT TV, monitor and speaker, etc. Do not spray water on the device or wipe the device with chemicals such as benzene, thinner etc. It may deteriorate the surface or peel the coating. 8 Do not put heavy objects on the device. It may cause damage to the LCD display. Do not put a metal (coin, hair pin etc.) or a flammable foreign substance in the product or drop them onto the device. Do not drop the device or allow it to incur heavy impact. Reduce the volume or power off the device if the sound is uncomfortable (shaking sound). Do not use earphones or speakers to listen to loud music for a long period of time; otherwise, the hearing may be hurt. Do not listen to music using earphones when riding a bicycle, motorcycle or driving a vehicle. It is dangerous and it may be against the law in some regions. When storing important data, please make a back-up copy. POINT-Five, Inc will not be responsible for any data loss due to any reason except troubleshooting in the manual. 9 Chapter 1 Before Use

Portable Entertainment Separable lithium polymer (Li-Polymer) charging battery The battery is rechargeable even if the product is used by connecting the DC 12V adaptor. The battery has an extended life, approx. An extra Li-Polymer battery may be purchased to further extend the usage of the device. Built-in speaker With the built-in speaker, you can hear play sound without needing to connect an earphone. 3. Battery Charging
Fully charge the battery when you purchase a new device or battery for 2.5 hours. 1. Connect the power cable as shown in the figure. 2. Put the plug in the outlet. 3. Once charging is started, the charging LED on the right top becomes red. About 2.5 hours are needed to fully charge. How to use the battery Maintain room temperature(5 - 35) while charging. As the battery is used for an extended period of time, the periods between recharging may increase. When using solely for the multimedia functions or in an area with an outlet, it is recommended to use the power supply adaptor. While the battery is fully charged, the available time to play media and music may vary according to user environment. 16
Battery Removal/Installation
If a malfunction occurs, remove the battery and re-insert it. If the battery life decreases due to extended use, replace with a new battery. Press and hold the power switch to the right (POWER) for about 3 seconds to turn off the power supply. 1. Removing the Battery Remove the battery while pressing the Separate/Lock unit toward and carefully pulling the charging battery to . 2. Press in the battery until it clicks. Caution Charge and store the battery at room temperature. Do not disassemble the battery or store it near a heat source. This may result in decreased lifespan of your battery. If the battery contact fracture is short-circuited by a metal such as coin or key, it may cause damage or an explosion. If you leave it as is for a long period of time, fully charge it prior to use. As the battery is consumed, the available period becomes shorter. If a child or a pet bits the battery, it may cause elements within the battery to become exposed. In such cases, contact your Poison Control Center immediately. 17

SD / MMC Card SD / MMC Card Insert With the direction of the contact on the SD/MMC card facing the back, insert exactly as shown in the figure. SD / MMC Card Removal Slightly press the edge of the SD/MMC card. The SD/MMC card automatically pops out. Caution If any SD/MMC(SD/MMC Card) not complying with the specification is used, it may be damaged. Do not remove the SD/MMC while reading, formatting, deleting, recording or reading text. Do not insert the SD/MMC in any other manner than stated above. Please be advised that the manufacturer shall not be responsible for any data lost as a result of a damaged SD/MMC.
Stylus Use Touch: Gently press the desired icon in the screen. Pressing gently instead of tapping will greatly prolong the life of any touch screen monitor. Drag: Drag the icon or screen while pressing down on the icon with the stylus and simply remove the pen when the object is at your desired location. If you do not have a stylus, you can use many blunted objects in its place such as your finger. If the icon pressed by the stylus is not the target icon, please set Touch Set in Set menu. 19 Chapter 2 Use of Media Player
Media Player Menu 1. Power on the device and enter the main menu. 2. Click the Media (multimedia) menu. 3. Display media menu. 4. Select the desired movie file to play. 20
File List Select all the playable movie files and music files in the list, or cancel all the files (this function is unavailable in IMAGE and TEXT)) Display the selected movie files (this function is unavailable in IMAGE and TEXT).) Display the list name, and the first one is the root list. Move the window upwards. Move the window downwards. Indicate the selected movie files. Press this list and the relevant interface will be displayed. Only display present windows when select several files, if you want to move to next file please select drag key.

- Press OK to confirm and press Cancel to resume to previous setting. The starting speed for some Files may be slow. Some files in inappropriate Audio format can only be played with images, but with no sound. When some character display is abnormal, use Region and Subtitle to set proper languages. 23

Check the Following Points before Referring to the Customer Service Center
- If the device is not operated properly, check the following points.
- If the problem is not solved, contact the Customer Center. Troubles Check & Solutions The power supply is not switched on. When the battery is fully consumed, the power supply is not turned on. Charge it and try to turn on the power sup ply. Operation failed even when the on button is pressed down. The screen is not viewable. The power supply is switched off. Battery needs frequent recharging. Sound is not played. Files (data) are lost. The device is heated. No movie files are displayed, and it returns to the file list. The image file is not played. The TEXT files appear fragmented. If the HOLD button is locked, the function is not selected. See if the button is proper or not and press it again. If it is used under direct sunlight, the screen may not be viewed well. In LCD OFF state, no interface can be seen. (POWER LED shows blue) When the battery is fully consumed, the power supply is automatically switched off. See if the battery needs to be recharged. Also check your settings to see if it is at stop status. As the battery is a consumable, the battery life may shorten gradually. If the charged product is left at high or low temperatures, the available period may be shortened. The available period may also decrease according to frequency of use. See whether or not a playable file is saved. See whether or not there is a music file saved in the SDMMC (SDMMC Card). Check battery level. See if or not power supply/USB cable is removed while the files or data are transmitted. Then, a fatal error as well as loss df a file or data may occur. Our company is not responsible for damage from data loss. The device may be heated during charging. However, it does not influence the life and performance of the product.. See whether or not a playable file is saved. See whether or not there is a movie file saved in the SDMMC (SDMMC Card). Check battery level. Some image files not conforming to the product specification may not be played. See the product specification. Some Text files may be displayed abnormally. Please confirm again after the files are converted to UNI CODE format or REGION. 35
