Bluetooth GPS Receiver User Guide Before connecting PBT-111 to your Pocket PC:
1. Make sure that your Bluetooth package include Bluetooth 6. Note that the Bluetooth function should be on automatically when you initialize your Pocket PC. In the Bluetooth Connection Wizard, select Explore a Bluetooth device then tap Next. 9. Tap Next to continue Bluetooth Connection Wizard. 2. Before using, making sure your batteries have been charged at least for 8 hours. 3. Go to Polstars website at www.polstargps.com to download GPS tester tool to your PC/laptop and then transfer to your PDA. 4. In order to link PDA and GPS together, install the connecting software first. Connect PBT-111 to your Pocket PC. 1. Load 3 fully charged AAA NiMH batteries into PBT-111; make sure the batteries are loaded in their correct polarity (+ or -) of the terminals. 2. Turn the PBT-111 switch on. A Red LED glitters to signal the GPS function and another blue LED glitters to signal the Bluetooth function. 3. Secure your PBT-111 in a stable place under an unobstructed open sky. If you use PBT-111 in your vehicle, place PBT-111 on the dashboard with the front surface facing the sky. 4. To access Bluetooth communication between PBT-111 and Pocket PC, power on your Pocket PC first. After initializing, you will see the Bluetooth icon on the right down corner of your screen. 5.Tap the Bluetooth icon; select Bluetooth Manager 5. 10. Await Pocket PC searching for Bluetooth devices. You will see POLSTAR in your Bluetooth Browser window. Tap the icon to continue. 11. Waiting for Bluetooth device searching, you will see the POLSTAR icon appearing in the following list. Tap POLSTAR icon to continue. 12. In Bluetooth Device Pairing window, enter Passkey 0000 and then tap Enter. 13. Select Bluetooth available service SPP in the Service Selection menu, and tap next to continue. 14. Now you successfully create Bluetooth Connection shortcut. Tap Finish to close the Connection Wizard program. 15. Now in the Bluetooth Manager menu, you will see the POLSTAR shortcut in the list. Tap the icon still and select the Connect option. 16. Bluetooth connection is completed. Then notice that Bluetooth LED is steadily on right now. In the Active Connection window, you can check the Bluetooth connection is on or not. 17. Await TTFF simultaneously, the GPS status LED will be Red to indicate GPS position fixed. 18. PBT-111 will now automatically and continuously receive the satellites GPS NMEA data and transfer to Pocket PC via Bluetooth for navigation application. You have to wait for 10 more minutes until the unit forced to cold start search, or you can down load PDA Tester from our website to send cold start command at the power-up.
