Connection ports Power [1]: use the provided power supply unit to connect to the power port. Line [2]: connect landline service phone cable to this port, the other end of the cable should plug-in to wall phone outlet. Phone [3]: connect telephone set to this port with the provided phone cable. LED signals POWER [4] LED: green power LED turns on when power supply is connected. BT [5] LED: the Bluetooth LED is used to indicate various mobile or landline connection status. LINK [6] button The LINK [6] button is used to register Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, up to three different mobile phones can be registered with U118. Auto pair-up function enables U118 to search for registered mobile phone in range when U118 is in standby mode. To register a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone 1. When BT LED is in flash green light state, press on the LINK button for one second until the LED turns steady ON for one second, release the button and start to pair up mobile phone with U118 following the next two steps. 2. Turn on and activate the Bluetooth function of your mobile phone, and search for device name of U118_BT, enter password 0000 to pair up with U118. 3. The BT green LED on U118 will turn off once a mobile phone is connected via Bluetooth function.
(To register another mobile phone with U118, first disable the Bluetooth function on the connected mobile phone to release U118 back to the standby mode. Then, repeat procedures 1 3 to register another Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. Up to three different mobile phones can be registered.) U118 operational mode For incoming call: the connected regular telephone set will ring for incoming call from landline and mobile phones. Simply pick up the handset and answer incoming call from landline service or mobile service. User will hear a busy signal sound when a second incoming call comes in, while the user is talking on the other line. For dialing out: the default outgoing call route is though mobile service. However, the U118 can also dial out using landline service by adding 9 before dialing the phone number. Using mobile service: any outgoing calls, dialed out from the connected regular telephone set, are routed through the connected mobile phone using mobile service. Using landline service: when a mobile cell phone is connected with U118, dial 9 + phone number will route the out-going call through landline service. When U118 is not connected with mobile phone, then user can just dial the phone number without adding 9 before it. Dial emergency call: user can just dial emergency number like 911 (USA) or 112 (Europe) or 119 (Taiwan) for emergency call, without adding 9 before it, regardless of mobile phone connection status. (U118 needs to be connected to at least one of the two services, mobile phone service and/or landline service, to enable outgoing emergency calls.) For switching the default route from mobile service to landline service for out-going calls:
with both landline service and Bluetooth mobile phone connected with U118. User can dial the command #987* on a connected house phone keypad to switch the outgoing call default route from mobile service to landline service. After the setting change, all outgoing calls will be routed through landline service without adding 9 before dialing phone number. (Power off and power on cycle can reset the out-going call default route back to mobile phone service.) Line busy signal: U118 will send a short line busy sound to the handset of connected house phone when a second incoming call from landline or mobile is present while U118 is in use by mobile or landline call. User can hang-up the first call, and wait for the ringer to pick up the incoming second call. Specifications
