Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow them . If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately . The batteries may explode if mistreated . Do not attempt to recharge or disassemble the batteries . Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type . Unzip the pillow cover and inner shell to access the battery compartment . 2 . Remove the battery compartment from the Pillow . Slide the BATTERY
(SPEARER PART) COMPARTMENT cover in the direction of the arrow to open . 2 . Insert four AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators inside the compartment . 3 . Replace the BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER and tuck the battery compartment into the Pillow and re-zip both the inner shell and pillow cover zippers . Pillow Cover Inner Shell Battery Compartment 9 TransmiTTer/PilloW seT uP The Transmitter must be within 30 feet of the Speaker Pillow for the RF (Radio Frequency) to work properly . 1 . Insert one end of the Transmitters POWER ADAPTER into the USB INPUT on the Transmitter, and the other end into an electrical outlet . 2 . a . If your audio source has left and right RCA output jacks, use the Y ADAPTER to 3 .5mm CABLE (included) . Insert one end of the Y ADAPTER to 3 .5mm CABLE into the appropriately colored R/L Line-in jacks on the audio source and the other end into the transmitters AUDIO JACK . b . If your audio source has a 3 .5mm stereo headphone jack, use the 3 .5mm to 3 .5mm CABLE (included) . Insert one end of the 3 .5mm CABLE to 3 .5mm CABLE into the audio sources headphone jack and the other end into the transmitters AUDIO JACK . 3 . To turn the Transmitter on, press and hold the POWER button on the Transmitter until the POWER/AUTO SCAN LED illuminates . 4 . To turn the Pillow on, press and hold the POWER button on the Pillow until the POWER LED illuminates . 5 . The POWER/AUTO SCAN LED on the TRANSMITTER and the POWER LED on the Pillow will start flashing as they start to search the RF frequency, it may take several seconds to match the signal . 6 . When the Pillow and Transmitter are matched, the POWER LED on the Pillow and the POWER/AUTO SCAN LED on the Transmitter will illuminate solid and audio will be heard through the Pillows speaker . 10 7 . To turn the Pillow off, press and hold the POWER button until the POWER LED turns off . To turn the Transmitter off, press and hold the POWER button until the POWER/AUTO SCAN LED turns off . Note: If the transmitter and Pillow do not match within a few minutes, press the aUtO ScaN button on the pillow to perform a new search. You may need to move the transmitter closer to the location of the Pillow. sPeaker PilloW oPeraTion 1 . Position the pillow with the Controller at the top right for optimal sound . 2 . Press the + button to increase the volume . Press the - button to decrease the volume . 3 . Press the SLEEP TIMER button to select the SLEEP TIME . Press to scroll through 30, 60, 90, 180 minutes, or Off . An LED will illuminate to show the selected auto shutoff time . If no LEDs are lit the SLEEP TIMER is off . 4 . To turn the unit off, press and hold the POWER button until the Power LED turns off . Notes:
after a button is pressed, the lEDs will auto shutoff after 3-5 seconds. If the sound source is shut off, the pillow speaker will auto shutoff after 4-5 minutes to preserve battery life. 11 care clEaNINg tHE PIllOW Power-off and remove batteries before cleaning. Foam insert: Spot-clean foam with a clean, damp cloth, and allow to air dry completely before use Removable pillow cover: Remove from foam insert and machine wash warm using delicate cycle, tumble dry low, do not use bleach Note: Pillow may retain a slight odor when first removed from the package. this is easily eliminated by allowing the pillow to air out. clEaNINg tHE traNSmIttEr Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth . There is no sound coming from the Pillow Speaker . Confirm the Pillow Speaker and the Transmitter are powered on and the Power/Auto Scan LED on the Pillow Speaker and the Power LED on the Transmitter are flashing . Press the Auto Scan button on the Pillow to perform a new search . Confirm the Pillow Speaker and the Transmitter are paired (Auto Scan LED on the Pillow Speaker and the Power LED on the Transmitter are solid) . Check the cable connections between your audio source and the Transmitter . Try removing and reinstalling the batteries . 14 one (1) Year limiTed WarranTY Brookstone warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (Warranty Period) . If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product .
