(hereinafter referred to as Radio Systems) warrants to the original retail purchaser, and not any other purchaser or subsequent owner, that its Product, when subject to normal and proper residential use, will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the purchase date. An original retail consumer purchaser is a person or entity who originally purchases the Product, or a gift recipient of a new Product that is unopened and in its original packaging. When serviced by Radio Systems Customer Service, Radio Systems covers labour and parts for the first three years of ownership; after the first three years, a service or upgrade charge will apply relative to replacement of the Product with new or refurbished items at Radio Systems sole discretion. The limited warranty is non-transferable and shall automatically terminate if the original retail consumer purchaser resells the Radio Systems Product or transfers the property on which the Radio Systems Product is installed. This Limited Warranty excludes accidental damage due to dog chews; lightning damage; or neglect, alteration, and misuse. Consumers who purchase products outside of Australia, New Zealand, or from an unauthorised dealer will need to return the Product to the original place of purchase for any warranty issues. Please note that Radio Systems does not provide refunds, replacements, or upgrades for change of mind, or for any other reason outside of these Warranty terms. Without a proof of purchase, Radio Systems will not repair or replace faulty components. Radio Systems requests the Consumer to contact the Radio Systems Customer Care Centre to obtain a Warranty Return number, prior to sending the Product. Failure to do so may delay in the repair or replacement of the Product. If the Product is deemed to be faulty within 30 days from date of original purchase, Radio Systems will organise for a replacement to be sent in advance of returning the faulty Product. A Post Bag will be included with the replacement Product for the return of the faulty Product. The Product must be returned within 7 days of receiving the replacement. If the Product is deemed to be faulty after 30 days from the date of original purchase, the consumer will be required to return the Product to Radio Systems at the consumers own expense. Radio Systems will test and replace the faulty device or its components and return to the consumer free of charge, provided the Product is within its said warranty period. It can be used with or without an audible tone and also has a Fixed/Variable setting for the treats/kibble. Nutritionally balanced diet for your dog It is important that your dog is already on a nutritionally balanced feeding program before you begin using the Teach & Treat. If you are using dry dog food/kibble, ensure it is the correct size and can be used in the Teach & Treat for training. Note: If you free feed your dog and he shows no interest in the kibble from the Teach &

Treat, change to specic meal feeding times during the day while training with the Teach

& Treat. This should make the dispensed kibble more enticing. If you use treats instead of kibble, your training sessions should be extended over a longer period, and the total calorie intake should be subtracted from your dogs daily intake of food. For most dogs, treats should make up less than 10% of a dogs daily food intake. 1 Install the batteries 2 Load treats or kibble 3 Turn on and test the dispenser A A B B C A B Carrying handle Carrying handle B B B A Power switch A. Remove the battery door on the bottom of the dispenser and insert 4 D-cell alkaline batteries (not included). Replace the battery door. B. Remove the screw securing the battery cover to the back of the remote. Insert two 3V Lithium CR2032 batteries (provided). Replace the battery cover. The LED on the remote glows green when the batteries are good, and red when the batteries are low. For best results, perform these steps away from your dog:

Power switch light will glow green. A. Press the power switch on the back of the dispenser to turn the unit on (|). The status B. If your dog is in the room with you, open the lid and set the Volume switch to Off. It is best to let your dog get used to the sound of the dispenser before adding a tone. C. Press the dispense button on the remote to dispense the food. You may need to press B. Once the treats/kibble start dispensing, press the dispense button several more times to make sure the food size is compatible with the disc you selected. 4 Introduce your dog to the Teach & Treat The Teach & Treat has moving parts and some dogs can be startled by the sounds when training begins. Follow the steps below to introduce your dog to the Teach & Treat:

A. Place the Teach & Treat in the location where you will be training. Place a few treats from your hand into the tray for your dog to eat. Repeat this until he eats from the tray without any hesitation. B. With the Volume switch set to Off, press the dispense button on the remote to dispense treats/kibble. The dog should already be at the tray; if he does not immediately eat the food, show him the treats/kibble by pointing. Repeat this step until your dog eats the food without hesitation. Note: If your dog is afraid of the Teach & Treat, start by letting your dog stand further from the dispenser as you dispense the treats/kibble. Each time your dog eats the treats/

kibble, move the dispenser a little closer, until he can stand next to the dispenser without hesitation. C. Move the Volume switch to Low. Press the dispense button on the remote. The dispenser will emit a tone and dispense treats/kibble. If your dog does not immediately eat the food, show him the treats/kibble by pointing. Repeat this step until your dog learns that treats/kibble follow the tone and eats the food without hesitation. D. Once your dog understands the tone, start dispensing only when he is looking at you. Some dogs become very attentive to the Teach & Treat; however, they must also learn who is controlling the food dispensing. If your dog automatically looks at you for reassurance between rewards or because he knows who is controlling the food dispensing, you are ready to move on to additional training. Ensure you reward him each time he looks to you by toning and rewarding. If your dog has not learned you are controlling the rewards, get his attention by calling his name and when he looks, press the dispense button reward. Repeat until your dog is consistent. When your dog focuses on you and then immediately goes to the Teach & Treat after hearing the tone, he is ready for additional training. to tone and Note: To ensure your dog has learned the tone/treat association, practice in different locations and add distance. My dog is barking or pawing at the dispenser. Begin by giving treats from your hand. After providing a few treats/

kibble, make a trail of treats/kibble leading to the Teach & Treat. Do not dispense any treats but allow your dog to walk up to the Teach

& Treat. After repeating this several times, your dog will learn to walk up to the Teach & Treat without hesitation. If your dog barks or paws at the Teach & Treat, his attention needs to be refocused on you. Do not dispense any treats/kibble if your dog is barking or pawing at the dispenser. When your dog is quiet or not pawing, give him a treat/kibble from your hand. Repeat, giving him a treat/kibble from your hand several times until he is quiet or not pawing. Gradually increase the interval between treats/kibble, this will extend the time of not pawing and not barking. Once he consistently waits for his treats/kibble, begin treating him from the Teach & Treat. I put the Teach & Treat system in Down/Stay mode and it shuts off after one minute. Why?

You must set the Fixed/Variable switch to Variable if you want the machine to dispense until its empty. When the Fixed/Variable switch is set to Fixed, treats will dispense at the rate determined by the treat rate dial, but only for one minute. How do I clean the Teach & Treat?

The Teach & Treat works up to 30 feet. My Teach & Treat is dispensing slowly. My Teach & Treat is not dispensing when I press
