When prompted, select Doorbells, and follow the in-app instructions. Try it out. After setup, push the button on the front of your Ring Doorbell to see video from the camera in the Ring app. Download the Ring app. The Ring app walks you through setting up and managing your Ring Doorbell. (If youre installing on wood, skip this step.) Use four of the provided Short Mounting Screws to secure your Ring Doorbell directly to the wall. 8 9 Install the faceplate. Secure the faceplate. Place the faceplate on your Ring Doorbell by slotting it in at the top and clicking it into place. Lastly, use the included screwdriver to insert and tighten one of the Security Screws. Your Ring Doorbell is now ready to use. If replacing an existing doorbell or using the included Corner Mount, continue to page 12. Security Screw CAUTION!
If you use the wrong screws to secure the Ring Doorbell, you could damage the battery during installation, create a fire hazard, and be seriously injured. 11 10 Optional: Remove your existing doorbell Optional: Install the Corner Mount If replacing an existing doorbell, shut off power at the breaker. Then remove the doorbell button from the wall and disconnect the wires. If youre not sure which breaker controls your doorbell, turn off the master breaker for your home, or contact an electrician. Your Ring Doorbell is compatible with doorbell systems supplying 824 volts AC at 50 or 60Hz, 40VA max. The Corner Mount can angle your Ring Doorbell to improve motion detection and provide a better view Install the anchors. If installing on stucco, brick, or concrete, mark 2 drill holes using the Corner Mount as a template. Then, use a 1/4 masonry drill bit to drill holes in your wall, and insert the included anchors.

Do not wire your Ring Doorbell to a DC-powered intercom system or other DC power source. 12 13 Optional: Install the Corner Mount Optional: Connect to existing doorbell wires Connect the wires coming out of your wall to the screws on the back of your Ring Doorbell. It doesnt matter which wire goes to each screw, as long as both are connected. Install the Corner Mount Use the Medium Bracket Screws to secure the Corner Mount to your wall. Use the Short Bracket Screws to secure your Ring Doorbell to the mount. If connecting to existing doorbell wiring, feed the wires through the back of the Corner Mount before securing the Corner Mount to the wall.
