1. Before storing the batteries, discharge them and charge the again (see instruction manual) - DONT FULLY CHARGE. 2. Turn off C - Pack battery and disconnect them from the charger and insole 3. Store in a cool, dry environment at 5C/41F to 20C/68F 4. Avoid longer periods of non-use. If the storage exceeds a longer period, repeat the procedure of discharging the batteries and charging them halfway again every 6 months!

Please retain these instructions and pass them on to other users. The Winterheat battery supply energy for the Surefoot heated insoles. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS General safety precautions:
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or without adequate experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by or receive instructions on how to use the device from a person in charge of their safety. Children should be supervised to make sure that they are not using the device as a toy. If you have problems sensing hot or cold objects (e.g. diabetics, disabled persons etc.), please consult your doctor before using the unit. Check your feet regularly for reddening of the skin. Excessive heat levels over prolonged periods of the time can lead to burns. Children may use the unit only under the supervision of adults. It must only be supplied at SELV. The device may not be used to warm animals. IMPORTANT: For recharging, only use the supplied USB Surefoot charging cable. Charging is optimized using Surefoot DC switching adaptor 5V/2A. It is designed for indoor use and may not be exposed to damp surroundings. Never try to open the battery packs! Improper handling of the lithium-ion batteries can lead to an explosion!
Damaged batteries must no longer be used and must be disposed of immediately. If damage to charging cables or other parts of the unit is found, do not use the unit. Do not make any modifications to the unit or use it for any unintended purposes. Always have any repairs to the battery packs carried out by the manufacturing only. Damaged chargers or charging cables cannot be repaired. Dispose of the charger in accordance with local regulations at a collection site for electrical waste. The Winterheat battery must be charged before using them for the first time. Preparing a USB power supply. Slide your adapter into the slot on the back of the charger until it locks in with an audible click. USB cable charging process:
1. Please ensure that the Winterheat is switch OFF while charging. 2. Plug the USB cable into the USB port. The charge indicator (1.6) will light up red. Lift up metal clip to access to charging trap. Next, you plug the charging connectors of the cable into the batteries (1.5 1.7). The charging process will start automatically and the charge indicator
(1.6) will light up in red during charging. 3. Once the Winterheat batteries are fully charged, the charging process is automatically concluded and the LED on the charge indicator (1.6) will switch back to green. 4. Remove both Winterheat batteries from the charging connectors. Important note:
Recharge the Winterheat battery after each use. This extends the service life of the batteries and ensures that the device is always ready for use. The battery consists of lithium ion cells and can be charged in any state. For this reason, the battery does not need to be fully discharged before charging. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE / ENGLISH When starting the charging process, the Winterheat battery should be in POWER OFF mode. The full charging capacity of the Winterheat batteries can only be conserved if the Winterheat batteries are removed from the charging station after the charging station after the charging procedure is complete. HOW TO USE THE WINTERHEAT BATTERY When using the WINTERHEAT, connect the cord from the heated insole firmly to the WINTERHEAT. The Winterheat battery can be controlled with button
(1.3) or with a iOS and Android app (only for Winterheat Bluetooth enabled). IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Do not allow the highest heat level to be switched on for more than a few minutes at a time. This could produce too much heat during operation, which may cause burns. Always set Winterheat battery to low or moderate heat levels to maintain comfortable foot warming (heating should be almost undetectable). INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE / ENGLISH The optimum heat output is only reached when the socks, boots or soles are dry. Never used the heatable sock and the heatable insole together; this can result in too much heat risk of burning!
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Winterheat without Bluetooth The Winterheat battery have a 4 operating modes:
POWER OFF IN USE LEVELS 1-2-3. They are indicated with the heating level display on the Winterheat battery. The LED flashing modes corresponds to the selected heat setting. WINTERHEAT with Bluetooth Using the phone App: Please refer to the Bluetooth app Turning the device on:
Press the control button (1.3) for a long period of time
(approx. 3 sec) to turn on the Winterheat battery at the lowest heat level. If the control button is pressed for too long period of time (approx. more than 6s), the Winterheat will remain OFF mode. Turning the device off:
Press the control button for a longer period of time (3 seconds) (1.3) to turn off the Winterheat battery. The Winterheat battery switches into POWER OFF mode. No LED is illuminated on the heat setting display (1.2). The heat is off. Changing the heat setting:
Press the control button briefly (approx.1s) to switch to next heat settings (Level1, Level2, Level3, Level1) Level1: A Flash, lower heat settings. Level2: 2 flashes, moderate heat settings. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE / ENGLISH HEAT LEVEL HEATING PERIOD The following table shows the heating period for the heat levels, which can be set using the control buttons. Therefore heating times are provided for information only and are not contractual. WINTERHEAT BLUETOOTH SYNCHRONIZATION Free Bluetooth app: Only available on Android and iOS systems. MAINTENANCE STORAGE AND CARE OF THE WINTERHEAT BATTERY To ensure a long life, we recommend storing the Winterheat battery in a cool room (at temperatures ranging from 5C / 41F to 20C / 68F) in a semi-
charged status. The Winterheat battery must be turned off (heat setting display (1.2) dark) and disconnected from the insoles and charger for storage. For long-term storage, the Winterheat battery must be discharged and recharged half at least every 6 months
(Charge for about 1/3rd of the time indicated on the charging time table). This ensures that the maximum battery power is preserved for many years!
Cleaned the parts as needed with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent. Caution:
Always remove the charger from the outlet before cleaning it. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE / ENGLISH DISPOSAL If the device can no longer be used, pleased disposed of it and its packaging in an environmentally-friendly way that is in accordance with current regulations. Do not throw the charger or the battery packs away with normal household trash. Instead, dispose of the parts at a collection site for electrical waste. Packaging materials are raw materials and can be recycled. For this reason, please recycle that packaging. Battery packs must be disposed of at intended collection sites. Please contact your local authority for more information. ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTS When subsequently purchasing accessories or spare parts, please make to provide the exact Surefoot model designation. Ideally, take the part to be replaced with you to your dealer. We offer a number of accessories. All items (accessories and spare parts) are also available individually. GUARANTEE As the manufacturer we guarantee for this product for a period of one year after the date of purchase. Within this guarantee period we will remedy any defects arising from faulty material or manufacture, free of charge, either by repairing or exchanging the device at our discretion.
