Installation Using the AC Adapter We recommend the use of the AC Adapter instead of the Main batteries for the best. possible performance. Note: The AC Adapter plug must be disconnected from the DC Input Jack in order to operate the unit on batteries. Battery Backup If the Backup (CR2032) Battery has been installed and a power failure occurs or the AC adapter cord is accidentally disconnected and AA batteries are missing, the current time and alarm time settings will be maintained. Also, Sure Alarm feature to ensure that Buzzer alarm to wake you up in the time alarm come if backup battery is installed. If the Backup Battery have not been installed or are dead, the battery low icon at lower left-hand corner of the display will appear. It is time to replace the battery by following step. 1. Remove the battery compartment cover and remove all AA batteries. 2. Remove the CR2032 battery door by screwdriver. 3. Install a CR2032 battery. Please make sure the polarity is correct as shown within the battery compartment. 4. Close the battery door and re-install AA batteries. Important: Unit MUST be connecting to AC Adapter while replacing CR2032 battery. Otherwise time and alarms setting may lose. DC Operation 1. For DC operation, 3 AA battery must be installed. 2. Gently turn the unit over and remove the battery compartment door. 3. Install 3 AA alkaline batteries, while making sure that the polarity is correct as shown within the battery compartment. 4. Close the battery compartment door, turn the unit over and plug in the AC adapter. AC Operation 1. Unit came with a DC6V 350mA adapter, just plug it in the unit and AC socket. Important: DO NOT USE OTHER ADAPTER OTHER THAN THE ONE CAME WITH THE UNIT. Battery Low Indicator There are two kinds of batteries employed by the unit. The CR2032 battery is pre-installed for time keeping and 3 x AA batteries for DC operation. Battery low icon is located in lower left-hand and right-hand corner of the display. When the icon lights up it is time to replace showing kind battery. Note: You should replace batteries if battery low icon appeared. Maintenance Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
@ Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture. Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzine, thinner or similar materials can mar the surface of the case. Setting Clock Time and Calendar :
Important ~ While setting the time or calendar, if you do not press the appropriate buttons (as explained below) within approximately 8 seconds, the display will stop flashing. If this happens you must follow the instructions again from step 1. Setting the Clock Time 4. Press and hold the Time Button until the display begins flashing. 2. Press the << or >> Button to select correct time. Remember to set the correct AM or PM. The PM Indicator is located on the upper left side of the time digits. 3. Press the Time Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also allow the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode. Note: . While setting the time, if you press and hold the << or >> Button the minutes will begin counting at a moderate pace, the get faster. This will assist you in easily setting the time both fast and exact. Setting the Calendar Press and hold the Calendar Button until the display begins flashing. Press the >> Button to set the month. Press the << Button to set the day. Press the 7-5-2 Button to set the day of the week. Press the Calendar Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also allow the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode. ORON>
Alarm operation This Clock Radio features three alarms that can be set and used independently. You can set both alarms to wake three people at different times, set alarm as a back-up to the other in case you shut off the first alarm and go back to sleep, or use alarm(s) for weekdays and other for weekend wake up times. Note: This clock radio also features Sure Alarn? that even power failure occurs or the AC cord is accidentally disconnected, if you had installed AA batteries, unit will change to Buzzer alarm to wake you up. Setting the Weather Radio Alarm Time Important While setting the alarm time, the display will return to the current clock time (normal mode) if the appropriate buttons are not pressed within approximately 8 seconds. You can exit the setting mode at anytime by simply pressing Alarm Set Button repeatedly until the current clock time is displayed. 1. Press the Alarm Set Button until the Weather Alarm Indicator appears on the top of the display and the alarm time is flashing. 2, Press the << or >> Button to adjust to time you want to wake up. Remember to set the correct AM or PM time. The PM Indicator is located on the upper left side of the time digits. 3. Press the 7.5.2 Button to select the alarm will come on everyday, weekdays or weekend only. 4. Press the Alarm Set Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also allow the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode. 5. Press the Radio Alarm Button until the Radio Alarm Indicator appears on the top of the display to confirm that the radio will turn on at the set time. 6. DO NOT FORGET to set the band, radio station and volume level you wish to wake to. This will assist you in easily setting the time both fast and exact. Setting the Nature Sound Alarm Time 1. Press the Alarm Set Button until the Sounds Alarm Indicator appears on the top of the display and the alarm time is flashing. 2. Follow to step 2 to 5 of Setting the Weather Radio Alarm Time but by replacing Radio Alarm to Sound Alarm. 3. The last nature sound that you listened to will be the nature sound that is set to turn on at the alarm time. Follow the instruction under Listening to Nature Sounds if needed. Setting the Buzzer Alarm Time 1. Press the Alarm Set Button until the Buzzer Alarm Indicator appears on the top of the display and the alarm time is flashing. 2. Follow to step 2 to 5 of Setting the Weather Radio Alarm Time but by replacing Radio Alarm to Buzzer Alarm. Confirm Your Wake-up Settings 1. Press the Alarm Set Button to change the current clock time to the flashing alarm time with the alarm indicator at the top of the display. 2. Repeatedly press the Alarm Set Button until you see the Radio, Sounds or Buzzer Alarm Indicator and the corresponding alarm time flashing on the display. Turn off the Alarm 1. After the alarm turn on, press the Alarm Reset/Off Button to turn off the alarm. The alarm will turn on again at the same time the following day unless the controls are changed. 2. To cancel any of the alarms, simply press the Radio, Sound and/or Buzzer Alarm Button until the alarm indicator disappears from the top of the display. 3. If the alarm is not turned off after it sounds, it will play for approximately 1 hour, then turn off automatically. This cycle will repeat every 24 hours unless the controls are changed. Instand Weather Broadcast Note: Extend wire antenna fully for best reception. 1. Press the On/Off Weather Button once to turn on the radio. The Dial Pointer will light. 2. Set the Channel Switch to the righi-hand side to the number position that has the best reception in your living area. They are as follows:
1 - 162.475MHz 2 - 162.450MHz 3 162.400MHz 4 - 162.425MHz 5 162.525MHz 6 162.500MHz 7 ~ 162.550MHz 3. Adjust the Volume Control as desired. 4. To stop listening at anytime by pressing the On/Off Weather Button again to turn off the radio. The dial pointer will go off. Note: While listening to the weather, the Alarm and sleep will not play. Important Information Regarding Weather Broadcasts
@ + Weather band broadcast transmission is a very low power and is not the same as the transmission of FM radio broadcasts.
@ Weather band stations are located in specific geographic locations and terrain, which means the area in which you live may not be within the range of such a station. If your receive AM and FM stations without a problem, but cannot receive weather band information, it means you are beyond the range of the nearest weather station, not that your radio is defective.
@ To help improve reception, move the antenna or rotate the radio until you get the best reception. Reception will also vary from daytime to night time. Listening/Sleep to Nature Sound:
1. Press the Sound Button once to turn on the sound. The Dial Pointer will light. 2. Press the.Sound Button again to change to sleep mode. The sleep timer will shut the radio off automatically so you can fall asleep to nature sounds. Remains sleep time will show on the display. 3. You can adjust sleep timer from 90, 60, 30 or 15 minutes by pressing the button again. if pressing the button again while sleep to 15 minutes will turn off the nature sounds. 4. Press any of the four Nature Sounds Buttons (Ocean, Brook, Forest and Wind). The chosen nature sound s indicator will flash on the lower right side of the display. Adjust the Volume Control as desired. To avoid affect alarm sound level, you can adjust sleep volume by pressing the Sleep Volume Button as desired. Sleep Volume icon will change to show volume selects. 7. To stop listening at anytime by pressing the Alarm Reset/Off Button to turn off the radio. The dial pointer will go off. On Snooze/Back Light Operation 1. Press the Snooze/Dimmer Button under normal operation to change the brightness of display back-light. 2. Press the Snooze/Night Light Button after the alarm sounds, the alarm will go off and will come on again in approximately 10 minutes. You may repeat this cycle several times during the 1 hours alarm cycle.
