SEAL SwimSafe is a swim monitoring device that detects if a swimmer is submerged for too long. The system includes a hub, at least 2 SwimSafe bands and a charging tower. SwimSafe bands are worn around a swimmers neck. How does it work?
The SEAL SwimSafe system uses patented radio wave technology to continually monitor swimmers. The monitoring happens through communication between the hub and SwimSafe bands. The two devices communicate continually to ensure a swimmer is safe. If the swimmer is submerged below water more than the set amount of time, communication between the band and hub will stop, and set off an alarm. Once the alarm sounds, other swimmers should immediately get out of the pool and lifeguards or parents should rescue the swimmer who is in distress. I have my system, now what?

COMMERCIAL SYSTEM MANUAL Step 1:
Plug hub and charging tower with band into wall outlet with SEAL SwimSafe charging cords. Let both charge overnight. All bands and the hub lights should be solid green, indicating they are fully charged. HUB HUB UNDER POWER CHARGING TOWER UNDER POWER
(power connect underneath charging tower) on the hub. The LCD screen should light up and a welcome message will Press the power button appear. Step 3:
Remove bands from the charging tower. Upon removal bands will flash white, meaning they are communicating with the hub and ready for use. You will also note that on the top of the hub screen, the band count will increase indicating how many bands are being monitored by the hub. Step 4:
All bands are linked to your hub before shipment. However, if a band is removed from the charger and does not begin flashing white you will need to relink the band. Relink band by placing band in hub charging port and pressing the link button should begin flashing.

What is linking anyway?

More about swim levels, please. Swim level should be determined by the ability of the swimmer. There are three levels, beginner, standard and advanced. Beginner/pink light will alarm if swimmer is submerged for 3 seconds, standard/blue light will alarm if swimmer is submerged for 20 seconds and advanced/light blue will alarm if a swimmer is submerged for 55 seconds. Step 6:
Once bands are linked (flashing white light when off hub) and swim level set. Place hub at least 30 inches off pool deck and at the midpoint of the pool with the hub screen facing the swimmers. Step 7:
Swimmers may put on the band by clasping it together at the back of their neck (some may need help from an adult) and begin their swim. If a swim band is too tight around neck add black extender to band. Step 8:
At the end of use place swim bands on charging tower, power down hub and charge hub with USB cord. Step 9:

Band Light Diagram Hub Light Diagram 7 Low Battery Band Alert Low Battery Hub Alert Pre-Alert before Full Alarm Band Battery Lights The band will flash red and chirp when in low battery. The hub will also chirp and state on its screen that a band is in low battery. A low battery band can either be unlinked to stop chirping or placed on a charger (hub or tower). To charge band, hub or tower must be plugged into wall outlet. The hub will flash red and chirp to indicate it is in low battery. To resolve, plug hub into wall outlet and let charge. The band will flash red and beep a couple of seconds before going into full alarm. If swimmer hears pre-alert and is able that should lift face out of water. SEAL can only be tested in large bodies of water like a pool or lake. Can I test the band in a bathtub, hot tub, bucket of water or sink?
No. SEAL SwimSafe will only alarm in large bodies of water or inground pools deeper than 2 feet. Will the band fall off when a child is swimming?
No. The band clasps are securely attached for normal swimming activities. It is not designed for diving or water slide use. It does have a breakaway limit to prevent choking. It is not designed for the diving board. What size should I buy?
The bands are a one size fits most. For comfort the band should be worn loosely. If the band fits too snugly, we do offer band extenders. Can I add onto my existing system?

The system is designed to cover a large commercial swimming pool. I have seen products worn on the head and wrist, why is SwimSafe worn on the neck?
Wrist-based products can trigger false alarms when swimmers submerge their arms but not their heads. SEAL SwimSafe is designed to only alarm when a swimmer's head is submerged beyond the set time limit. How long do the hub and band take to charge? How long will the hub and band battery last?
The hub takes approximately 3 hours to reach full charge and will last about 9 hours. We recommend 4 hours charging time before using the hub. The band takes 2.5 hours to reach full charge and will last about 9 hours. We recommend 3 hours charging time before using the bands. Does it work in salt water pools?
Yes, it is also chemical resistant. Can SwimSafe be used in an indoor or outdoor pool?
Yes, SEAL SwimSafe works in indoor and outdoor pools. Is there any installation involved?
No, the system is ready to use once fully charged, completely portable and can be used practically anywhere. 9 What happens when the band or hub battery is low?
If any component is in low battery the hub will notify the user of this several minutes before the battery level becomes critical. If a single band is low, it will chirp and blink red. What happens if two bands alarm at once?
Both bands will flash red and white with audible alarms, indicating both swimmers need help. The hub will alarm. Does it float?
Yes, with the black foam sleeves attached. It will allow the user to swim under the water. How many bands can be connected to a hub? How many hubs work in the same vicinity?
Up to 60 bands can be connected to one hub. Multiple hubs can work within the same aquatic facility . What happens when swimmers forget to take bands off when they leave the pool?
The swimmers band will give a warning to return before the wearer gets too far from the pool. If the swimmer does not return the hub will alarm. What are the different swim levels?
There are three: beginner, standard and advanced. The beginner level will alarm after 3 seconds of submersion. The standard swim level will alarm after 20 seconds of submersion. The advanced will alarm after 55 seconds of submersion How long is the warranty?
One year limited warranty with an optional one year extended warranty. How do I change a bands swim level?
The band swim level can only be changed when placed in the charging port on the Hub. The wearer cannot change it. I know it works in a pool but does it work in a lake? Ocean? River?
The system is designed to work in a pool. The bands will alarm in an ocean, lake or river but keep in mind that in murky water it will be difficult to see the flashing of the LED. Appropriate life saving protocols for brown water must be used. Why does SwimSafe use Radio Frequency instead of bluetooth?
SwimSafe uses Radio Frequency Alway On (RFAO) technology to ensure a greater range, reliability and accuracy than bluetooth. Is it comfortable?
Yes, it was tested on all levels and ages of swimmers involved in various aquatic activities. How durable is the band device?
The electronics are encased in a high strength polymer designed for aquatic environment. As a safety precaution the band will release from the swimmer under high tension. Will the system shock me or the swimmer?
10 The Seal SwimSafe band uses a low-voltage battery that is completely enclosed in plastic. The hub and charger should not be submerged in water. WHAT SEAL SWIMSAFE IS NOT. It is not a substitute for the cornerstones of safe swimming: Early effective swim lessons, vigilant and well-trained lifeguards and parents, and a safe swimming environment. It is not a replacement for vigilant parental and/or lifeguard supervision. It is not a rescue device. The SEAL SwimSafe is an alarm; lifeguards perform rescues. It is not for babies or anyone with a medical condition where they could drown in water shallow enough for them to stand up in. It is not a device that will save someone who is swimming alone. It will not prevent injuries from shallow water jumping or diving. It will not prevent injuries from horseplay. It is not a GPS tracking or location device. SEAL SwimSafe Alarms when a swimmer is submerged beyond the time threshold. It is the duty of the guards to closely watch, identify and rescue swimmer. It is not a device that will stop drownings in all situations. SEAL SwimSafe is a last line of defense. Vigilant lifeguards and parents should strive to identify and rescue swimmers before they are exhausted and submerged. SEAL SwimSafe is another chance for the swimmer if the worst happens. It is not to be used in above-ground pools or hot tubs/spas/jacuzzis. It must be worn correctly to function properly. It is not recommended to be used for lap swimming as band will detect that your face is in the water for too long, triggering a false alarm. If desired, it can be worn with the lights on the back of the neck for lap swimming. It is not recommended to be used with a kickboard as band may get trapped under board and trigger a false alarm. If desired, it can be worn with the lights on the back of the neck for lap swimming. It is not designed for use off a high dive. It is not recommended to be used when one is using a noodle as a kickboard as it may trigger a false alarm. If desired, it can be worn with the lights on the back of the neck. Will not function if it is not worn by the swimmer.
