The WanderGuard signaling device is not compatible with the FirstQ departure alert system. Check the signaling device you have received to make sure it does not have a black back on the case. If your signaling device has a black back, call Customer Service at 800-824-2996 immediately. TEST BEFORE USING The components inside this signaling device were carefully tested prior to sealing the case. However, it is impossible to pretest the activation switch (see Activation section of these instructions.) It is therefore important, after activation, to test the signaling device before putting it into use. Thereaiter, test the device daily and record the results in the residents records. If a signaling device fails to activate call WanderGuard Customer Service at 800-824-2996. Do not use more than one signaling device on a resident. Two signaling devices, if brought very close together, may not be received by the door monitor and the alarm will not sound. WanderGuard equipment should be operated only by trained personnel who are thoroughly familiar with the procedures outlined in the User Manual. Failure to comply could result in injury or death to a resident. Sudden impacts could damage components and, in rare instances, the battery could fail prematurely. The device should be tested daily (and after impact, if applicable) to check its service. Failure to regularly test could result in injury or death to a resident in your care. Record all test results in the resident's records. Do not place the signaling device on or next to metal such as wheelchair frames or jewelry. Metal could interfere with the signal sent to the door monitor. eee re 3) Check the device for proper operation Figure 1 Civet ina Se Approximate 90-Day operating life Due to variances in manufacturing dates by the battery manufacturer and by WanderGuard, model 32013 has up to a six month shelf life from the manufacturing date. Model 32013 should be activated by the date stamped on back of the case to provide approximately 90 days of useful life.
