It is the best solution for reception and digitalportableTVreception.ThisantennaisanactiveantennapoweredthroughDC power. 3 2.INSTALLATION TheinstallationoftheMV9818nearoraboveaflatmetalsurface mayresultinsignificantreductionoftheWiFisignalstrength. DonotmounttheMV9818nearmetalobstructionsthatmayinter ferewiththeWiFisignal. Electricconnections FortheproperfunctioningofMV9818,simplyconnecttheantennatoa12/24Vdc powersupplycable(notprovided)accordingtothefollowingguidelines. Connectthered(positive)andtheblackwire(negative)comingoutfromthebaseof MV9818 to the battery through a red/black power cable. The connection can be madebysolderingorwithaclamp.Itisadvisabletohavethisprocedurecarriedout byatechnician. IMPORTANT:Thepolarityreversalonthepowersupplywillburnthefuse. The power line (not supplied) which connects the two wires coming out from the baseofMV9818musthavecableswithacrosssectionof1.5mm byalengthupto 10m,and2.5mm forlongerlengths. WARNING: in the power line, we recommend placing a switch upstream to avoid electricityconsumptionwhentheMV9818isnotused. NOTE:Inordertoreceivethesignalfromthe MV9818insidemetalcrafts,upto a maximumoffouraccesspoints(accordingtoyourneeds)mustbeplacedinsidethe boat, which must be linked with aswitch to the router inside the MV9818 via an Ethernetnetworkcable. 4 3.HOWTOUSEtheMV9818 NOTE:TVantennacanbeusedafterconnectthepowersupply,do notneedtobeset.
