Installing on the ceiling is recommended,but you should locate it at a minimum of 4 inches (10cm) away from the side wall.(See Figure 1) When installing the CO alarm on the wall,a distance of 4-12 inches
(10-30cm) should be kept below the ceiling.(See Figure 1) If you have a sloped,peaked or cathedral ceiling,the CO alarm should be installed within 3feet (90cm) of the peak of the ceiling measured horizontally.(See Figure 2) CEILING 4

Clean the alarm annually by using compressed air or a vacuum cleaner hose.Never use water, cleaners or solvents since they may damage the unit. If the CO alarm cannot be cleaned to avoid unwanted alarms, replace the alarm immediately. When you hear the low battery warning (chirp approximately once every 60 seconds),please replace the battery immediately to continue your protection. BATTERY REPLACEMENT The CO alarm requires one 3V battery: CR123A. The battery can be purchased at your local retail stores or where you purchased this alarm. CR123A POSSIBLE SOURCES The following conditions can result in transient CO situations:
1) Excessive spillage or reverse venting of fuel burning appliances caused by:
i) Outdoor ambient conditions such as wind direction and/or velocity, including high gusts of wind; heavy air in the vent pipes (cold/humid air with extended periods between cycles). ii) Negative pressure differential resulting from the use of exhaust fans. iii)Simultaneous operation of several fuel burning appliances competing for limited internal air. iV)Vent pipe connection vibrating loose from clothes dryers, furnaces, or water heaters. V) Obstructions in or unconventional vent pipe designs which amplify the above situations. 2) Extended operation of unvented fuel burning devices (range, oven, fireplace, etc.). 3) Temperature inversions which can trap exhaust gasses near the ground. 4) Car idling in an open or closed attached garage, or near a home. WHAT TO DO WHEN THE ALARM SOUNDS WARNING!
Telephone Number:
Actuation of your CO alarm indicates the presence of carbon monoxide (CO) which can KILL YOU. If alarm signal sounds:
1.Operate reset/silence button;
2.Call your emergency services
[fire department or 911];
3.Immediately move to fresh air outdoors or by an open door/window. Do a head count to check that all persons are accounted for. Use only batteries specified by this Users Manual. Use of a different battery will have a detrimental effect on CO alarm operation.Constant exposures to high or low temperatures or high humidity may reduce battery life. Unit will not operate without battery power.Alarm will warn you in advance when battery is running low so that you can replace it. CARBON MONOXIDE SAFETY INFORMATION Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless,odourless,and tasteless poison gas that can be fatal when inhaled.CO inhibits the bloods capacity to carry oxygen. SYMPTOMS OF CO POISONING The following symptoms are related to CARBON MONOXIDE POI-
SONING and are to be discussed with all members of the household:
1) Mild Exposure: Slight headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue (often described as Flu like symptoms). 2) Medium Exposure: Severe throbbing headache, drowsiness, confusion, fast heart rate. 3) Extreme Exposure: Unconsciousness, convulsions, cardiores-
piratory failure, death. 4) Many cases of reported CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING indicate that while victims are aware they are not well, they become so disoriented they are unable to save themselves by either exiting the building or calling for assistance. Young children and household pets are typically the first affected. 6 7 8 9 10 335*134mm,67*67mm 80g Matter communication function wireless communication function 2022-12-23 AND ULC STD 6.19 2023-04-20 CSA 6.19-17 3 years10 years 2023-05-17 RoHS,REACH C1UL2034 601012439 Ver1.3 2023-06-02
