CT analog CTCSS: it means that the current channel is 6 receiving and transmitting at CTCSS mode. 2. DCS digital CDCSS: it means that the current channel is receiving and transmitting at CDCSS mode. 3. VOX function: it means that the VOX turn on. 4. Key lock: it means that keyboard is lock and dont change up/down operation, except monitor and PTT key. 5. TX: it means that radio is in the transmitting state and the transmitting and receiving intensity meter is lit. 6. RX: it means that radio is in the receiving state and the transmitting and receiving indicator is lit at same time. 7. Transmitting and receiving indicator. 8. Power and charge indicator: it means current battery level. The battery level jumps back and forth from 1 to 3 in the charging state(Not displayed during shutdown). 9. Channel display: display the current channel number. Note: the radio enters the power saving mode after 10s of standby, the screen does not light in this mode and the receiving green light will blink at this time. SWITCHING POWER ON/OFF Turn the power switch/volume control clockwise. You will hear a beep and speech, indicating the transceiver is ON. VOLUME CONTROL Hold Monitor button down to listen to audio level while rotating the Power switch/Volune control. Rotate clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease volume. SELECTING THE CHANNEL In the standby mode, press UP/DOWN key, step up or down to select the channel. Long-press UP/DOWN to quickly switch 06 channels up or down. The screen displays the current channel number, when the voice prompt function is turned on, the corresponding channel is broadcasted. TRANSMITTING To ensure the best receiving volume, please keep the distance between the microphone and the mouth from 2.5cm to 5cm when transmitting. Transmitting call: change the channel and press PTT key, the radio is in the transmitting state, the red indicator light is always on and the TX icon is displayed. Then speak into the microphone in a normal tone. Receiving call: after releasing PTT key, a beep will sound, the radio is receivable mode. When receiving a call, the green indicator light is always on and the RX icon is displayed. SCAN In the standby mode, press UP+DOWN to enter scan function, the green indicator light is blink quickly, the radio scans between the added channels. When a valid voice signal is scanned, it automatically stays in this state until the signal disappears. Press any key to exit scan mode. CPS programming path: Edit- Channel edit- Scan add (Option: Yes

/No). Select the channel you want to add and set to Edit- scan switch (Option: On/Off), set to On. MONITOR In the standby mode, long-press MONI key to open monitor function, release to exit the MONI mode. 07 KEYBOARD LOCK Press and hold the LAMP / LOCK button to lock or release the up or down button for channel selection. When the channel is locked, the LOCK icon is displayed. Other function keys are not restricted by lock. NOAA WEATHER FORECAST NOTE: enter the NOAA weather mode, the radios transmitting, MONI and scan function will be disabled. FLASHLIGHT Power on the RB18, short press LAMP key to open the flashlight. Short press LAMP key again to turn off the flashlight. Advanced operations Chinese/English prompt voice change Press PTT+DOWN to open the radio, changing the Chinese/English prompt voice. CPS programming path: Editor- Language change( Option: Chinese

/English) Edit- Language switch (Option: ON/OFF). Language switch is set to OFF, the voice prompt function will be turned off. Transmit repeater activate audio Press PTT+UP to transmit repeater activate audio 1750HZ, 1450HZ 2100HZ. CPS programming path: Edit- Side key function( Option: 1750, 1450 2100HZ) 08 CPS program Connect the radio to the computer by a special cable, you can read and write the frequency of radio, set the function parameters, etc. CTCSS/CDCSS Code function Through the CPS programming software, edit the received and transmitted sub-audio of each channel to prevent receiving unrelated calls on the same channel, including 50 CTCSS or 105 CDCSS. CPS programming path: Edit- Channel- RX/TX CTCSS/CDCSS option table is given in the appendix E.-CTCSS Table and appendix F. - DCS Table VOX transmit Through the PC programming software, set the VOX of radio to turn on/off and the sound control level 1 to 5 grade, level 1 sensitivity is the highest, level 5 sensitivity is the lowest. CPS programming path: Edit- VOX control function (checkbox);

Busy channel lockout Turn on this function, when the selected channel is being used by other users, press the PTT button, the radio is prohibited from transmitting and emits a beep, beepsound. When the channel is idle, you can transmit when you press the PTT key again. CPS programming path: Edit- Channel- BCL (Option: Yes/No) . set to Yes to activate the channel busy lock function. Time out timer TOT can effectively prevent any caller from occupying the channel for too long. If you continuously transmit more than the set TOT, the radio will stop transmit and emit beep. To stop beep, release PTT key, and press the PTT again to resume transmission. CPS programming path: Edit- TOT (Option: 30s, 60s, 90s, 120s, 150s, 180s ...... 300s or turn off) Squelch level Level 1-9 to select, corresponding to SPK output S/N is 8-18dB. Automatic power saving mode The function is activated when no signal is received or no operation time exceeds 20s. Automatically stop when a signal is received or an operation is performed. Low power alarm The voice prompt is Please charge when the voltage is 3.4V, the transmission is prohibited when the voltage is 3.2V.
