howeve r, the re are many areas in wh ich s igna l st rength may be reduced by topog raphic features o r by loca l government rest r ict ions on the heigh t o r p lacemen t of the towers themse lves. Ru ral areas general ly have fewer ce l l towers than u rban reg ions . 2. Natu ral and man-made obstructions signal s trength can a lso be negat ive ly af fected by t rees, hi l ls, bui ld ings, weather , and other obs truc t ions. It may be rela t ive ly c lose to a ce l l towe r but st i l l exper ience fa i lure data connect ion. This often occu rs in bu i ldings in wh ich stucco , concrete o r meta l wa l ls may block the s igna l. Eas i ly so lve these prob lems by ins ta l l ing a So lidRF boos ter.
